2016 Classic TT Races Isle of Man Classic TT Lap of Honour LAP OF HONOUR MONDAY 29th AUGUST 2016 ACU Permit No. 47099 FIM Inscription No. IMN 196/08 TCC No. TT 001 1. ANNOUNCEMENT & OFFICIALS A PR6 SPEED CONTROLLED PARADE will take place over one lap of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course and the speed will be controlled by officially appointed Travelling Marshals. This parade will be promoted and administered by the Isle of Man Government, Department of Economic Development (the Promoter) and organised on their behalf by the Manx Motor Cycle Club Limited (the Organiser). The Parade is to be held under the Standing Regulations and Conditions of the ACU for Parades together with these Supplementary Regulations and any Final Instructions that may be issued or Official Announcements made. Copies of the ACU Regulations and Conditions are available from the ACU at www.acu.org.uk. The Parade will be held on Monday 29th August at 15:50 hrs. 2. RIDER ELIGIBILITY British Licence Holders (ACU and SACU) Participants must be between 18 and 70 years of age and hold a current ACU Road Race competition licence, a current ACU Parade Licence or a Class A DVLA motorcycle licence. Participants over 70 years of age must hold a current ACU Road Race competition licence or a current ACU Parade Licence. All participants must complete the Medical Declaration when making their application online via the competitors section of www.iomtt.com. Non British Licence Holders (Ireland, Europe and Rest of World) All participants must hold a current Road Race competition licence or a current Parade Licence issued by their own FMN. They must produce valid Start Permission issued by their own Federation which confirms they are insured against the risk of personal accident to meet with FIM regulations. Additional insurance cover will be required against Medical Treatment 200,000 Euros and Repatriation 100,000 Euros and may be purchased during signing on. All participants must complete the Medical Declaration when making their application online via the competitors section of www.iomtt.com. Entry preference will be given to current and/or former TT and Manx Grand Prix competitors. 3. MACHINE ELIGIBILITY Only racing machines or accurate replicas of such machines will be eligible. Road machines may be accepted at the discretion of the Promoter. 4. ENTRIES Applications for Classic TT Lap of Honour must be made online via the competitors section of www.iomtt.com no later than Tuesday 31st May 2016. Any entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. All entries must include a colour photograph of the machine entered. There will be a 160 entry fee for the Classic TT Lap of Honour payable either by cheque to Isle of Man Government or over the phone by debit/credit card (phone number below). Payment will only be taken once confirmation of acceptance has been received. 5. INSURANCE The Organiser undertakes to insure each participant, indemnifying him against any third party claims made arising out of the Parade excluding claims by other riders or passengers, entrant, sponsor or mechanic. Insurance cover is included as follows: (i) The Insurance Company (Brokers) will be appointed by the ACU (ii) Personal Accident benefits are included for those taking part in PR6 Parades and is limited to 10,000.00 Death, loss of or loss of use of two limbs or the sight of two eyes, or loss of use one limb and one eye, the loss of or loss of use of a limb or the sight of an eye. There are no weekly benefits in respect of temporary or total disablement. (iii) Should any participants be found in breach of these Standing Regulations the Insurance arrangements stated in this article will be null and void. The Insurance is for personal accident only and does not cover machine, clothing, equipment etc. (iv) The Secretary of the Parade is responsible for payment of Personal Accident Insurance premiums, which must be submitted to the Secretary of the meeting on the day of the parade at the latest. The Secretary of the Meeting is then responsible for the payment of the Insurance Premiums to the Brokers. (v) No cover is included in respect of machines, clothing or other personal property etc. (vi) For racing machines - Road Traffic Act (RTA) insurance may be purchased from the Race Office which will provide cover for parade/competition machines which are being ridden on the Public Highway. The cost of cover is 30 per machine and insures the machine whilst being ridden on the Public Highway, to or from official practice/ competition/parade. The duration of cover is 3 hours before the roads are closed and up to 2 hours after the roads are re-opened. The cover is not valid for testing on the public highway or for social riding. 6. COURSE The circuit is the full Isle of Man TT Mountain Course. 7. PADDOCK General A separate Classic TT Lap of Honour Paddock will be established. Parade participants will be encouraged to display their machines to the public in this area. All participants and their associated persons must at all times comply with all the health and safety requirements applicable in the Paddock and displayed on the Race Office notice board. A one way system will operate within the paddock. It has been designed for the smooth and safe transition of all vehicle movements. A 10 mph speed limit exists at all times. At no time should any vehicle block an entrance or exit. Parking of all vehicles will be under the control of the Promoter and its appointed agent and all participants must respect the instructions received. 03

Fuel There will be a dedicated high octane fuel storage facility within the paddock. Participants using high octane fuel must contact the Paddock Manager for further information before sending any fuel to the Island. Participants using pump fuel are strongly advised to obtain fuel on the day it is to be used. Under no circumstance is more than 10 litres of fuel to be stored within any paddock (other than the official store). Participants who are storing fuels off site, are reminded of their obligations to let the authorities on the Isle of Man know what fuel is being stored and where. It is the responsibility of all participants to remove all metal fuel containers to the skips provided in the paddock. Any off site fuel storage facility (more than 2 litres) will need to be licensed by the Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading. Please be aware that persons transporting large amounts of fuel may face prosecution if not appropriately licensed. Rubbish All participants and team members are responsible for the removal of their rubbish from parking areas. Bins are provided for the disposal of bin bags. Security The paddock will be patrolled by security guards. There are two, 24 / 7 security points which are fixed. There will be a foot patrol during daylight hours but no foot patrols between 19:00 hrs and 07:00 hrs. 8. TYRES As appropriate to the era of the machine. Due to the changeable weather conditions around the Mountain Course, only tyres with a discernable tread pattern will be allowed. No slicks or cut slicks will be permitted. 9. STARTING Paraders must assemble in the Classic TT Lap of Honour Paddock at 14:50 hrs. At 15:35 hrs paraders and machines will be directed to the Assembly Area and be ready to start strictly in numerical order at 15:50 hrs. 04

10. SIGNING-ON, TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS AND BRIEFINGS Friday 26th August at The Grandstand Signing on in the Media Centre and Technical Inspections in the Technical Inspections Bay will be held between 09:00-11:00 hrs. Briefing A compulsory briefing for all riders will be conducted by the Clerk of the Course in the Conference Suite at 11:15 hrs. IMPORTANT - Any parader who has not signed on, attended Technical Inspections and the Briefing will not be permitted to take part in the parade. Machine Preparation Machines must be well prepared. Please do not present any machine for Technical Inspection which has not been thoroughly cleaned and properly prepared in accordance with the high standard expected. Handlebar controls and levers must be tight on the bars. Tyre inflation caps are essential. Exhaust Noise Exhaust silencing is not compulsory for this event. Protective Clothing and Safety Helmets (Also refer to ACU Road Race Standing Regulations) Riders must wear a complete (one piece-not zipped together) leather suit of at least 1.2mm thickness with additional leather padding or other protection on the principal contact points, knees, elbows, shoulders, hips, etc. Linings or undergarments must not be made of a synthetic material which might melt or cause damage to the rider s skin. Suitable undergarments may be made of Nomex, silk or cotton. Riders must also wear leather gloves and boots, which, with the suit, provides complete coverage from the neck down. Racing approved leather substitute materials may be used provided they have been checked and approved by the Chief Technical Officer. The use of a back protector is highly recommended. The use of materials in clothing or personal protection which may generate sparks when in contact with the ground are prohibited. Riders must wear a helmet which is in good condition, provides a good fit and is properly fastened. Helmets must bear the current gold ACU stamp and be of the full face type. Pudding basin helmets will not be permitted. Overseas riders may use helmets currently approved by their own FMN. All clothing will be checked for suitability at signing on and will be rejected if not accepted by the Organisers. Riders must present themselves at both Technical Inspections fully clothed for parading. 05

11. RIDER & MACHINE CHANGES A change of rider will be permitted at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course, provided the Rider has the appropriate licence to participate in the Parade. Machine changes appropriate to the event may be made prior to and including signing on. An official change of machine form must be completed during signing on. 12. FLAG SIGNALS The following flag signals may be used during practice, a race or a parade and must be immediately obeyed: Red flag (waved) Immediate stop, all riders. Pull in where safe. Await marshals directions. Black flag with orange disc (With rider s number) That rider to stop due to mechanical problems. Yellow flag (stationary) Danger, slow down, no overtaking. Yellow flag (waved) Danger more imminent, slow down, be prepared to stop, no overtaking. Green flag Course Clear Black and white chequered flag Individual finish Yellow and red striped flag Oil, water or other substance is affecting adhesion on this section of the Course White flag with red diagonal cross Wet or damp patches is affecting adhesion on this section of the Course 13. PASSES Passes for one participant and two assistants will be issued to all participants at signing-on. One vehicle pass will be issued to paraders at the entrance gate to the Paddock on 26th August, allowing access to the Classic TT Lap of Honour Paddock on the 26th and 29th August only. Participants are responsible for the integrity of the pass system within their team. Sanctions will be imposed on any team whose members abuse the pass system in any way including: - Selling passes - Production, sale or distribution of forged passes Participants are also responsible for the behaviour of their guests. Guests should be advised that they are expected to respect the instructions of the Organisers. By accepting the issue of passes the participants are deemed to agree to abide by the pass conditions and to undertake the obligation to advise each person to whom a pass is issued of the pass conditions and to ensure the observance thereof. 06

Passes may only be used to gain access to the areas indicated on the face of it. Any person found within a restricted area without the appropriate pass may be removed from the venue immediately and / or have any pass held by them withdrawn. Passes must not be removed from their official lanyards and must be worn around the neck of the person to whom it is issued so as to remain clearly visible at all times. The Organisers at all times reserve the right to refuse admission to the venue or access to a designated area to any person, notwithstanding that such person may have been issued with an appropriate pass. The Organisers reserve the right to request further proof of identity in addition to a pass. Passes at all times remain the property of the Organisers and may be issued, altered or withdrawn at any time at the absolute discretion of the Organisers. 14. UNAUTHORISED RIDING Only the participant is permitted to ride the machine. Mechanics and others are not insured against third party claims. 15. RETIREMENTS DURING PARADE All participants who retire during the parade must leave the Course with their machine safely at the very first available opportunity, at all times ensuring that they do not place themselves or their machines in such a position as to constitute a danger to other participants. Riders must stay with their broken down machines until the official Course car has passed. Touring back to the Paddock whilst the parade is under way is strictly forbidden. Riders are reminded that they may only travel in the direction of the Course and under no circumstances may ride or push a broken down machine in the opposite direction until the official Roads Open car has passed at the end of racing and practising for the day. Riders are solely responsible for recovery of their own machines. Any rider wishing to ride a machine on the highway at any time must wear a helmet and must ensure that the machine complies with the road traffic laws and that the machine is covered by valid insurance for road use. 16. ALCOHOL Random alcohol testing of riders will take place prior to the Parade. The permitted level is zero. Any participant who tests positive will be disqualified. 07
