Challenges remaining (1/2) Landesmobilitätsagentur Agenzia provinciale per la mobilità 19
Challenges remaining (2/2) Increasing popularity of cycle tourism more demand for bike transport on train WHILE transport capacity for bicycles is limited (15-18 bikes per train) overcrowding (conveyance cannot be granted) security issues (cycles blocking exit) delays (hardly tolerable for commuters and pupils - trains are timed to interconnect with buses) 20
Future aims Further expand the Südtirol Rad/Bici Alto Adige bike rental network Increase of transport capacity thanks to the purchase of 8 new train compositions + extension modules for actual trains (expected autumn 2013) 21
