Dear Maple Families, Join us for Scientific fun at Story Laboratory: Reading Gives You Super Power! coming on Monday, March 11 th Friday, March 15 th. Students will be observing the book fair during regularly scheduled library times and may also visit with their Loved One on their assigned day during our Lunch with a Loved One special event. Please see flier attached. Check out our book fair homepage for more information at this website: http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/maplelibrary1 We will also be adding to our classroom libraries as well as the Maple library with two wonderful book programs. The first is the Classroom Wish List where teachers select books from the fair for students and families to purchase and donate to the classroom. The other program is called One for Books. In the Fall, we had our Coin Wars to raise money for this great program. (We will do the coin wars again next Fall.) While your piggy banks recuperate, everyone can participate in the program by donating $1 and signing the Hawaiian Shirt Slip attached to this letter. Return it to school so we can display it at our book fair. All of the money collected goes to purchasing more books for our school and Scholastic will match 1 book for every dollar collected for underprivileged children and their 3 non-profit organizations. If you re all booked up during Book Fair week (or just want to keep shopping), be sure to visit the Book Fair online at www.scholastic.com/schoolbookfairs.
