Custom Skull Mounting Services In addition to cleaning your specimens, Skulls Unlimited provides a custom skull mounting service for many species. For the cost of the mount and labor, we will mount your trophy to a custom pedestal base. Alternatively, if you would prefer to buy the pedestal and assemble it yourself, it is easy to self-mount your specimen to the base. This classic 9 ½ x 13 base is available in oak and walnut finishes. It also rotates so it may be displayed as a pedestal or a wall mount. The cost of the pedestal is $49.00 Labor to mount your trophy.00 If we are shipping your trophies, we recommend not mounting Horned and Antlered skulls to the pedestal, as this will only raise shipping costs and increase the risk of damaging your trophy. Each strap has its own serial number that is never used again, to assure proper return. When a specimen arrives to our door, we tag it immediately with it s banding strap that stays attached throughout all of our processing steps, storage and shipment. Shipping Procedures 1. Specimen must be drained of all excess moisture and well-frozen. 2. Wrap in two inches of newspaper and place in a sealed plastic bag. 3. Pack in a sturdy container such as styrofoam or thick cardboard. Insulated coolers may be used and will be returned upon request. Feel free to call us with questions! 4.
