Dressage Equitation Medium walk, working trot and canter both ways of the ring must be performed. The rider s position, seat and specifically the correct use and effect of the aids required by the Training Level Dressage tests are to be judged. The movements shall be performed by the exhibitors simultaneously; however, the judge may ask for independent tests. Only the rider is judged. May be ridden as a group: Free walk, transitions from one gait to the next in both directions, transitions from walk to halt and vice versa, change of direction down the centerline, across the arena, and/or by making a half-circle at the walk or trot. Additional tests may be ridden in small groups or independently, including transitions, leg yield, changes of lead through trot, serpentine at the trot, shallow loop serpentine with counter canter, trot lengthening and/or canter lengthening, riding without stirrups. Judges are encouraged to provide verbal comments to riders after the class. Prix Caprilli Prix Caprilli Tests are for horses with jumping experience. They are offered in Introductory, Training, and First Level. We will NOT offer first level at this show. Introductory: Maximum height of fences 2 cross rails. All trot work will be performed rising. The horse should be asked to change through the trot. The quality of the change will be evaluated. Tests may be called. Movements include 20 meter circles in the trot, free walk on the diagonal, medium walk, and two jumps at the trot. 1. A Enter working trot X Halt. Salute. Proceed Working Trot. 2. C Track right 3. B Circle right 20 meters. B Straight Ahead 4. E Half-circle right 15-meters and over Fence #1, then straight ahead (dbl coefficient) 5. A Medium walk 6. KXM Free walk on a long rein 7. RULES AND GUIDELINES. Entries: Entries for competing and non-competing (schooling horses) must include a current Coggins, entry form, liability release and fees. Entries received with a post mark after the closing date will be accepted at the discretion of the management. There are no refunds of any fees after 5 pm on Thursday prior to the show. Fees: Fees are $20.00 per horse/rider combination, per class, for Alpha Dressage Association and SWFDA members, and $25.00 per horse/rider combination, per class, for non-members. There is a $15.00 office fee per horse/rider combination. The fee for non-competing (schooling horses) is $15. If your check is returned for non-sufficient funds, you expressly authorize your account to be electronically debited or bank drafted for the amount of the check plus any applicable fees. The use of a check for payment is your acknowledgement and acceptance of this policy and its terms and conditions. If you have any questions regarding this service and your rights pertaining to the regulations governing automatic check recovery, you may contact Check Velocity at support@checkvelocity.com Limited stabling is available: An overnight stall is $30 and a day only stall is $20. Stalls will be assigned as completed entries (entry form, liability release, coggins and check) are received and are available only for horses competing in the show. Stall assignments will be posted with the ride times. You must provide your own feed, hay, shavings and water buckets. If your horse will be staying overnight, you must make your own provisions for feeding at night and the next morning. You must clean your own stall at the conclusion of the show or pay the $10 stall cleaning fee. Payment: Make checks payable to Alpha Dressage Association and mail to: Robin Sego, 14555 Mossy Hammock Lane, Myakka City, Fl 34251. Schooling: Schooling is available at Cheval Centre on Saturday afternoon for horses that are registered for the show. There is no schooling in the show arena on the day of the show. Footing: Sand arena 20m x 60m. Approved helmets MUST be worn by all riders while mounted. Riders under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult while on the show grounds. Correct tack will be required as defined by USEF i.e. smooth snaffle bits no twisted, wire, roller or Pelham bits. Martingales, side reins, draw reins, horse boots and bandages are not allowed. Dressage whip maximum length is 47.2 (120 cm) including the sash. Hot weather show attire is allowed. This means any color breaches and polo shirts. T-shirts are not allowed. Age appropriate boots are also required. Ride times will be emailed to each entrant and posted on the ADA website on Thursday prior to the show. Classes will NOT run in order. Awards: Ribbons through sixth place. A high point award will be presented to the highest scoring rider of the day. Scores will count toward ADA Year-End Awards and the GMO Championships for the show season 2012-2013. Directions to Cheval Centre: From I75, take exit # 210, go east on Fruitville Road for 4.2 miles, turn left into the driveway. Any topics that are not specifically addressed in the above guidelines or any exceptions to the guidelines must be discussed with and approved by the show manager. Any violation of the show rules can result in your exclusion from this and future ADA events. DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES.

ALPHA DRESSAGE ASSOCIATION VOLUNTEER PROGRAM 1. Five ADA dollars will be awarded for each hour of volunteer work performed. You will be responsible for reporting these hours to the volunteer coordinator. 2. These points can be used in the following manner: A. As partial payment for class fees at ADA schooling shows (up to $10 per class and up to $30 per show). B. As partial payment toward clinics offered by ADA (up to 30% of the cost of the clinic. C. You can donate them to a pool and we will decide how the money will be used at the end of the year. (ie sponsorship of a young rider). Volunteer opportunities for our shows are listed below. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form and send it in to the show secretary. You can do more than 1 shift.
