A Few words from the Executive The Executive Members of the Colleges Football Association of Ireland would like to welcome you to Galway for the 2008 CFAI Cup Finals. We d like to congratulate all the teams who have made It through to the final stages, being held here once again at the excellent facilities in Drom, the home of Salthill Devon FC. It s been a busy year with the UMBRO Colleges & Universities League coming to a conclusion last month. Congratulations to the ITT Dublin B team who won the Division 1 final, and I m sure some of this team will have pushed for inclusion in the Cup Semi Final team today. The DIT B team who won the second division final, are also here, on Wednesday, competing in the B Team final. Unfortunately the Premier league final was postponed, but it will see Colaiste Ide take on the holders UCD on the 19th of March at 7:30pm at Home Farm. Last month saw the launch of the Colleges and Universities Football Development plan. This is the culmination of a year and a half s collaboration with the FAI, WSCAI, CUSAI and the IUFU. It represents a blueprint for the development of the game in our corner of the football family. We d like to thank the associations main sponsor UMBRO, whose generous support is as always much appreciated. We wish the 10 teams competing in Galway this year the best of luck in their respective games and hope that as usual skill, sportsmanship and fair play win the day. May your stay in Galway brings good memories, irrespective of results, and may we continue to represent our colleges and the CFAI with pride both on and off the field.
