Congratulations to Andrew, Stuart, Alastair and the team for an outstanding performance in bringing home our 12 th Premiership Cup. In what could only be described as an extraordinary year the team has typified the club motto of Spectemur Agendo and in doing so carved their own piece of history in being the second team only to have won back to back Premierships. On behalf of the HFC Past Players and Officials we offer players, officials and support staff our sincerest congratulations and gratitude for keeping the Hawks at a level that has seen it be the most successful Club of the past 50 years. On the back of another successful year on the field your Association has had some terrific functions and enjoyment to compliment this season. First up we had the golf day at Kingswood Golf Club, 54 golfers attended and had a great day. The event was proudly sponsored by Mizuno Golf who generously donated prizes to the various winners on the day. We thank Nick Janky and his team at Mizuno for their support of the event The Generations Lunch followed in August where Rayden Tallis and Ian Bremner were honoured for their contributions to the Football Club and the Association. We were privileged to have the company of long time Hawk supporter Andrew Gaze and his son Mason. Andrew spoke on his experiences over his long and distinguished basketball career and was very entertaining. We thank Andrew for giving up his time to be our guest speaker. Then we had the traditional Thursday Pub Night prior to the Grand Final. This was a fantastic night with all of those who attended having an enjoyable time. All in all a very successful period off the field for your Association A reminder to all members that our website is up and running so log on and take a look. Think I would be in trouble as I can't think of a current player who I could compare myself with physically although I guess the training regime would help shed the kilos. I would love the interchange system though, you get tired & you come off, what a beauty. Any memorable moments Just playing football and making lifetime friends, both players & support staff. Name the Teammate in your time that was the most memorable and why? Best is Leigh for obvious reasons (statistics), but the most amusing would have to be Don Scott, first person I heard say f... in public & not offend anyone.
