NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Statistical Advance: ICAR Analyzing The Jiffy Lube 100 Presented By La Petite Bretonne At Circuit ICAR DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 1, 2014) The 2014 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 returns to action with the fourth annual Jiffy Lube 100 presented by La Petite Bretonne at Circuit ICAR on Sunday in Mirabel, Quebec. Below is a statistical look at the performance of the series and selected drivers: Jiffy Lube 100 Setup: Andrew Ranger has been victorious in each of the two previous seasons at Circuit ICAR, and was two laps away from winning the inaugural 2011 event before being involved in an accident. Alex Tagliani was the ICAR polesitter in 2011. This week will be just his second NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 start at the track. L.P. Dumoulin has top-five finishes in each of the three previous ICAR races, and is looking for his third top five in a row to start the 2014 campaign. Quebec natives Elie Arseneau, Patrice Brisebois and J.F. Dumoulin will attempt to make their 2014 season debuts in this event. At Circuit ICAR: History The International Center of Advanced Racing (ICAR) is located on the grounds of Montreal-Mirabel International Airport, which closed to passenger flights in 2004. The racing facilities began operation in 2008 as a private club, and competition was opened to the public in 2009. The complex includes facilities for auto and motorbike racing, drag racing and karting. Notebook Robin Buck won the inaugural NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 event at Circuit ICAR on June 5, 2011. Alex Tagliani was the series first ICAR pole winner. Andrew Ranger has won the two subsequent races at ICAR in 2012 and 2013. He led wire-to-wire last year. Qualifying was rained out in 2012. Ranger s pole-winning effort in 2013 established the track record at 95.938 seconds (79.289 mph). Ranger has led 63-percent (59/94) of the total laps contested in the first three ICAR races. Dodge has been the winning manufacturer for all three previous NCATS ICAR events. In three previous starts at Circuit ICAR he has finishes of 22nd (2011), seventh (`12) and eighth (`13). L.P. Dumoulin (No. 47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare Dodge) The 2011 NCATS Rookie of the Year has two wins, a pole, 11 top fives and 19 top 10s in 39 career starts. Both of his career triumphs came at CTMP in a 2013 season sweep of events at the road course. He became the first back-to-back winner there in series history. Is second in points after two races with finishes of fourth at CTMP and fifth at Autodrome Chaudiere. Has finishes of fourth, fourth and third at ICAR the three previous years. J.R. Fitzpatrick (No. 84 Equipment Express Chevrolet) Has nine wins, a series record 14 poles, 38 top fives and 55 top 10s in 80 career starts. Won the 2014 opener at CTMP to extend his series record for wins at the road course to four. Ranks first in points after two races with the CTMP win and an eighth at Chaudiere. Has finishes of seventh, second and fourth at ICAR. Led three laps in the 2011 event. Alex Guenette (No. 39 Motos Illimitees Dodge) The 2013 NCATS Rookie of the Year has two top fives and six top 10s in 13 career starts. Did not participate in the CTMP opener and finished sixth at Chaudiere. Finished 10th last year in his first ICAR appearance. That is his best result in four career road course races. Jason Hathaway (No. 3 Rockstar Energy Drink Chevrolet) Has four wins and 53 top 10s in 89 career starts. Is one of three drivers to compete in every race in NCATS history. All four of his career wins were earned on ovals, including three of his last four such starts. Best career road course finish is second at Edmonton City Centre Airport in 2012. Has finishes of 15th, 23rd and 20th in the three previous ICAR events. D.J. Kennington (No. 17 Castrol Edge/Mahindra Tractors Dodge) The 2010 and 2012 NCATS champion. Maintains series record for career wins (19), top fives (63), top 10s (75) and is one of three drivers to start each of the 89 all-time events. Also ranks second in series history in laps led (2,754) and fifth in poles (10).

Holds the NCATS record for most career oval victories with 16. Has won at eight different circle tracks. All 10 of his career poles have been earned ovals. Has a streak of 52-consecutive races without at DNF. Last DNF came at Riverside International Speedway in 2007. His three road course wins were earned at CTMP (2011), Edmonton (`12) and Trois-Rivieres (`13). Has finishes of 20th, fifth and sixth in the three ICAR races. Led six laps in 2012. Jeff Lapcevich (No. 76 Tim Hortons Dodge) Has a pole and 35 top 10s in 54 career starts. The pole came last September at CTMP. Tied his career-best finish with a second-place effort in the CTMP opener. Did not attend the Chaudiere race. Has finishes of sixth, eighth and fifth the three previous years at ICAR. Andrew Ranger (No. 27 Mopar Dodge) The 2007 and 2009 champion has 17 wins, 13 poles, 38 top fives and 54 top 10s in 63 career NCATS starts. Of his 17 career triumphs, 14 have come on road courses. Also has three road course wins in NASCAR K&N Pro Series competition. Ranks 11th in points after finishes of 21st at CTMP and 12th at Chaudiere. Was the polesitter for the opener. Won the 2012 and `13 ICAR events, and led with two laps to go in the inaugural race before an accident relegated him to 21st. Has led 59 of 94 all-time laps at ICAR. Scott Steckly (No. 22 Canadian Tire/Sylvania Dodge) Has a series-leading three championships (2008, `11, `13) through the first seven years of NCATS competition. Owner of 15 wins, 12 poles, 55 top fives and 66 top 10s in 89 career starts. His top fives and top 10s totals rank second all-time while his wins and poles sit third in the record book. Is the all-time leader in laps led at 3,319. All 15 of his career triumphs have come on ovals. He s won at eight different circle tracks. Ranks eighth in points after two races with finishes of 25th (DNF) at CTMP and fourth at Chaudiere. Has finishes of second, third and second in the previous three ICAR races. Has five career road course runner-ups, including the pair at ICAR. Alex Tagliani (No. 18 EpiPen/Dicom Express Dodge) Has a win, four poles and six top 10s in 17 career NCATS starts. The victory was earned at Edmonton in 2008. Missed the CTMP opener to compete in Indianapolis 500 qualifying. Finished 14th at Chaudiere. All four of his career top-five finishes in NCATS competition have been earned on road courses. Won the pole and finished eighth at ICAR in 2011, his only previous race there. Up To Speed: The 2014 season is the eighth for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1. The 2014 schedule features 11 races at 10 different tracks across five provinces. J.R. Fitzpatrick opened the campaign with a dominant victory at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on May 18. Andrew Ranger set the track record in qualifying. Steve Mathews earned his third career pole and Jason Hathaway took the checkered flag for the fourth time in his career on June 15 in the series inaugural visit to Autodrome Chaudiere. The race was postponed one day due to rain. Following the Jiffy Lube 100 presented by La Petite Bretonne, the next race will be contested on July 11 with the inaugural Alberta Has Energy 300 at Edmonton International Raceway in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
