Introduction The FRSQ 700 is a rigid fast rescue craft designed for service in the most demanding environment and welded of profiles and plates in marine grade aluminum alloy 5083 H111 (AlMg 4.5) The craft is of a fully planning design with a deep V-bottom construction and competent to be safely launched and retrieved under adv0erse weather and sea conditions. The strength of the craft is sufficient to withstand all normal forces encountered under normal use of the craft at maximum speed. The craft is completely built to western standards. Requirements The RSQ 700 is designed, built and equipped to comply with the following requirements: As per module B of European Union Council Directive 96/98/EC on marine equipment as amended by Commission Directive 2008/67/EC SOLAS 74 Convention as amended by, Regulations III/4, III/26 and III/34 IMO Res. Engine details Version Brand Model Type Power Cooling Starting method Alternator 258 HP Steyr SE266E40 Turbocharged, 4 stroke, 6 cylinders 258 HP Seawater Electric 120 Amp with voltage regulator Water jet data Version 258 HP Brand Hamilton Model 213 Propulsion The engine is coupled to an Hamilton type 213 water jet via an intermediate shaft, and its cooled by freshwater via the water jet and has a wet exhaust system which is led aft through the stern. The exhaust system is constructed to stop water ingress during normal operation and capsize Also other types of engines can be fitted into the FRSQ 700 A. Fuel system The FRSQ 700 A is equipped with one aluminium fuel tank, under deck in front of the engine compartment, with a capacity of 170 liters. Internal baffles are installed to dampen surging and the fuel tank is pressure tested. The FRSQ 700 A is equipped with a redundant diesel filter system for optimize clean diesel into the engine. Electrical system The boat is equipped with a 12V electrical system in accordance with all regulations. Each electrical wire is labeled with numbers for easy maintenance so that wires can be found on the drawing during maintenance. Every component is double fused separately. Main fuses are placed in one central fuse box. The great advantage of double fused components is that de components are double protected against electrical problems and peak tension. Batteries Two heavy-duty batteries, non-spill, equipped with isolating switch are installed in the engine compartment and continuously charged via a battery charger connected to shore or davit.

Hull & console The hull is strengthened by a system of longitudinal bulkheads and transversal stiffeners and on the outside of the hull there are four spray rails, two on each side of the keel. All void compartments are pressure tested before delivery of the boat in order to make sure that the hull is watertight. The keel is longer in the direction of the bow and gives the bow an kind of so called Split bow effect to give the FRSQ 700 excellent maneuvering stability. This bow shape is also important for stability in case of lying still in the water during a rescue operation. The console has 3 big watertight hatches for optimal reach for maintaining and visual control of the engine and other main components of the FRSQ 700 A. The hoist frame and attachments are all inside the console to protect for weather/ salt water influences and corroded water dripping from davit lifting link and wire. Deck The under-deck area is strengthened by means of longitudinal and transversal stiffening and bulkheads. The deck has been coated with a non-skid finish and is self-draining through openings aft. The steering console is made of marine grade aluminum and as a standard provides seating for a crew of two (additional seating is available for the crew and passengers) Protective fender Stability and impact absorption are provided by a heavy duty, mechanically attached flexible closed cell foam collar offering minimal service and maintenance costs. The craft is fitted with a strong protective fender made of special Polyethylene foam blocks. These foam blocks are divided over 5 pc each side of the FRSQ 700 A. In case of damage of the blocks it is easy to take them out of the cover and install new ones. The great benefit is that maintenance can be performed onboard the mother ship during operation. Foam blocks can be renewed within 1 hour. The protective fender will effectively deaden all hard impacts without creating a reactive force. This foam is covered by a heavy hypalon cover with extra protective cladding on the outer surface. The hypalon cover is attached to the hull via rails. Therefore it is easy to slide the cover out and install a new one. Downtime due to damaged fenders is therefore reduced to less than an hour. Hoist arrangement The FRSQ 700 A is standard equipped with an automatic offload release hook. The type of hook is a CAR-F 35 hook EC/MED approved manufactured by Fast RSQ. Every part of the corrosion resistant aluminum hoisting arrangement is calculated by using FEM analysis to give an optimum strength / weight result and to ensure that every part of the hoisting arrangement is calculated within the whole structure. All structural members on the hoisting arrangement are calculated with a minimum safety factor of 6 to the fully loaded boat according to MSC 320 (89.

Automatic offload release hook The FRSQ 700 A is standard equipped with an automatic offload release hook made of stainless steel 316. The type of hook is a CAR-F 35 hook EC/MED approved manufactured by Fast RSQ The FAST RSQ release hook CAR-F 35 meets the latest official SOLAS requirements for off-load release hooks as laid down in MSC.320(89) and applicable LSA code. The release hook is dimensioned to suspend davit-launched (Fast) Rescue Crafts, Man-Overboard-boats, Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB) and workboats with a davit load not exceeding 35kN. We offer a hook which has unique characteristics; - Safe to operate and have the strength to be a safe link between boat and davit. Tests have shown that the CAR-F 35 hook, designed to carry a load of up to 3.5 Ton, has a breaking load of 25.1 Ton. - Easy to operate. One person can operate (release) the hook and quickly load the hook with the davit link due to the quick load latch. The hook can be operated from the hook itself and from the optional available remote release unit which can be integrated into the boats cockpit. - An integrated and certified maintenance eye is provided for safe servicing of the boat and hook. - The hook is not completely closed welded as some other hooks available on the market. Therefore the hook is easy to maintain, easy to visually inspect and all parts are easy accessible to clean the hook when dirt or salt crystals have entered the hook. - The hook requires low maintenance, the hook is made of 99% stainless steel. - A unique CAR-F 35 replacement program is made through our growing service network. Safety For safety reasons and to fulfill the requirements of the EC/MED approval several items are audited to this boat and are as follows; - Capsize reversal equipment - Capsize reversal equipment is installed and consists of an aluminum frame, inflation bag, CO2 bottle with release valve and release handle. - The release mechanism can be activated manually, by pulling the release handle, turning the boat upright. - Stern guard - The water jet is protected by a marine grade (6060 T6) aluminum construction. - Lifelines - Substantial lifelines are arranged in a series of loops to the inside and outside of the collar so that people can grape when lying in the water. - Stowage - A weather tight bow compartment is fitted for stowage of equipment.
