DMS Awards Night At the Duxbury Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, June 6 th, 2017 at 7:00pm An email will be sent to the primary email from the Aspen Portal to any student receiving an award. If a student was on high honors (3 semesters of straight A s this year) they will be receiving a Principal s Award and should plan on attending (these students will not receive an invitational email). Parents and Caregivers A Note About Tardies, Dismissals and Dropping Items Off Please help us get your student s day off to a successful start by ensuring they are in the classroom by 8:15 and prepared with their necessary items for their school day. If your child arrives after 8:20 he/she will be marked tardy and will need to report to the DMS Office. After 5 tardies an after-school detention will need to be served. We understand appointments come up unexpectedly; otherwise, please send a note with your child for dismissal. Help us create an environment conducive to learning by limiting interruptions to our classrooms during the school day. ELEVATOR KEYS Please remind your children to return their elevator keys at the end of the day every day. Thank you!

Health Office Reminder to 6 th Grade Parents All parents who currently have students enrolled in 6 th grade and who do not have current physicals and immunizations on file have been sent notices in the mail. We do this at this time each year as a reminder to you because we recognize the difficulties that arise in getting a physical scheduled over the summer. Any physical between the summer of 6 th grade and before the start of 7 th grade is just fine. Please remember, however, that immunizations need to be up to date and that your child may still need to have an immunization appointment scheduled. In particular, the state mandates that your child will need a Tdap and a second varicella or MD note indicating history of Chicken Pox. Any questions, please contact me so that we can resolve any concerns before the start of 7 th grade! Donna Doyle, RN
