Class 2 - Best of British, open to all ages and any sex of purebred Friesian (passports may be required for verification of birth place) Class 3 In hand geldings and stallions (geldings and stallions will be split if number of stallions permit), open to purebred geldings and stallions of 4 years and above.
Class 4 - In hand formerly of Friesians Scotland, this class is open to any Friesian of any age and sex who has previously been owned by Friesians Scotland. In Hand Championship all horses placed 1 st and 2 nd in classes 1-4 (from ring 1) and 11-14 (from ring 2) to come forward for the in hand championship Kindly sponsored by Scrap A Car Scotland Class 5 Ridden horse, open to any sex of purebred Friesian horse of 4 years and above. Class 6 Ridden part-bred Friesians, open to any sex of part-bred Friesian horse of 4 years and above. Pairs will be asked to ride around the arena and do a short show together. We have been unable to hire in temporary stable blocks this year but will make room in our own pens for anyone wishing to stable horses for the weekend. The pens will be available from Friday afternoon until Monday morning at a cost of 40per horse. Bookings must be made in advance! There are also a few local horse owners (within a few miles of the show) who are willing to rent out their stables for the weekend. Thanks to our show sponsors this year we are able to offer some fabulous prizes! RULES AND REGULATIONS ALL EXHIBITORS ARE ASSUMED TO HAVE READ THESE CONDITIONS AND HEREBY AGREE TO ABIDE BY THEM! Hats in accordance with current safety standards with secure chinstraps must be worn at all times when riding, with the exception of classes 9 and 10 at your own risk! Whips must not exceed 30 long Late entries may be accepted at 12.00 per entry and only postal entries which arrive before the closing date (Friday 21st July) will be accepted at 8.00 per entry. The judge s decision is final in matters of appeal or complaint by competitors. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or amalgamate classes in the event of insufficient numbers. Refunds will be given for cancelled entries if this is the case. Objections must be lodged in writing to the organiser within no more than one hour of an incident. A deposit of 30 must be paid; this will be forfeited if the complaint is overruled. The decision of the organiser is final. All dogs must be kept on leads at all times. The owner will be fined 20 for immediate payment when any dog is found running loose anywhere on the showground. Exhibitors must ensure that horses / ponies are kept under control at all times. Please give stallions and colts plenty of room. It is a requirement that all exhibitors have public liability insurance. If more than one rider/handler per horse, please use a separate entry form per exhibitor. Competitors will automatically be entered to compete for the title of ultimate Friesian which will be calculated by the number of points accumulated over both days of the show, combinations competing on one day
only will not be eligible. Points will be collected based on one horse and one rider combination. If the same horse has more than one rider or handler points will be allocated for each combination. Combinations will be awarded 6 points for 1 st place, 5 points for 2 nd.down to 6 th place with 1 point awarded. In classes with less than 6 competitors in the class half points will be awarded. Combinations may enter as many classes as they wish. In the spirit of fairness to other competitors, particularly those new to the sport we ask that those who are competing successfully and regularly achieving scores above 70% in a particular level of dressage please move up to the next level. Alternatively if you do not feel comfortable to move up a level you may remain in the same level but advise the organiser of your status and for the sake of the Ultimate Friesian award we will award half points in such classes. PLEASE KEEP THE PARKING AREA TIDY AND TAKE ALL LITTER HOME WITH YOU OR PUT IT IN A BIN. THANK YOU! Indemnification The organisers will exercise all reasonable care and attention for the safety of all exhibits and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for the entire or partial loss or damage to the same, to any person or property, whether through accident or otherwise, or through any act of omission of themselves, servants or other persons from any other cause. It is a condition of entry that all exhibitors hold the organisers (Friesians Scotland) blameless and will indemnify them against legal proceedings and compensation for damages in connection with any such accident or loss or damage.
