Alif, Lam, Ra: Those are the signs of the manifest writ. إ نا أ نز ل ن اه ق ر ا ن ا ع ر ب ي ا ل ع ل ك م ت ع ق ل ون 2. Assuredly, We descended it an Arabic Quran so you might be mindful. ن ح ن ن ق ص ع ل ي ك أ ح س ن ال ق ص ص ب م ا أ و ح ي ن ا إ ل ي ك ه ذ ا ال ق ر ا ن و إ ن آ نت م ن ق ب ل ه ل م ن ال غ اف ل ين 3. We relate unto you the finest stories in what We inspired to you, this Quran; and for, you were from before it surely from the oblivious. إ ذ ق ال ی وس ف ل ا ب يه ی ا أ بت إ ني ر أ ی ت أ ح د ع ش ر آ و آ ب ا و ال شم س و ال ق م ر ر أ ی ت ه م ل ي س اج د ین 4. For said Joseph to his father, "O my father, assuredly I saw eleven planets, and the sun and the moon; I saw them unto me prostrating." ق ال ی ا ب ن ي لا ت ق ص ص ر ؤ ی اك ع ل ى إ خ و ت ك ف ي ك يد وا ل ك آ ي د ا إ ن ال شي ط ان ل لا نس ان ع د و مب ين 5. He said, "O my son, relate not your vision to your brothers lest they beguile against you, beguiling! Assuredly, Satan is to humanity a manifest enemy." و آ ذ ل ك ی ج ت ب يك ر بك و ی ع لم ك م ن ت ا و یل الا ح اد یث و ی ت م ن ع م ت ه ع ل ي ك و ع ل ى ا ل ی ع ق وب آ م ا أ ت مه ا ع ل ى أ ب و ی ك م ن ق ب ل إ ب ر اه يم و إ س ح اق إ ن ر بك ع ل يم ح ك يم 6. "And thus drafts you does your Lord and teaches you from the interpretation of narratives, and completes His grant upon you and upon the family of Jacob as He completed it upon your fathers from before, Abraham and Isaac; assuredly your Lord is most knowledgeable, most judicious. لق د آ ان ف ي ی وس ف و إ خ و ت ه ا ی ات لل ساي ل ين 7. There truly were, in Joseph and his brothers, signs for the inquirers. إ ذ ق ال وا ل ي وس ف و أ خ وه أ ح ب إ ل ى أ ب ين ا م نا و ن ح ن ع ص ب ة إ ن أ ب ان ا ل ف ي ض لا ل مب ين 8. For they said, "Surely Joseph and his brother are more beloved to our father than we are, yet we are a gang; assuredly our father is surely in manifest deviation." اق ت ل وا ی وس ف أ و اط ر ح وه أ ر ض ا ی خ ل ل ك م و ج ه أ ب يك م و ت ك ون وا م ن ب ع د ه ق و م ا ص ال ح ين 9. "Kill Joseph or relegate him (to) some land, thus vacates to you will the countenance of your father, and you will become after that righteous people." ق ال ق ا ي ل من ه م لا ت ق ت ل وا ی وس ف و أ ل ق وه ف ي غ ي اب ة ال ج ب ی ل ت ق ط ه ب ع ض ال س يار ة إ ن آ نت م ف اع ل ين 10. Said a sayer among them, "Kill not Joseph, yet cast him into the depths of the water-pit, pick him up will some wayfarer, if you were ever doers."

They said, "O our father, what is it with you that you trust us not with Joseph and assuredly we are surely unto him advisers?" أ ر س ل ه م ع ن ا غ د ا ی ر ت ع و ی ل ع ب و إ نا ل ه ل ح اف ظ ون 12. "Send him with us tomorrow to frolic and play, and assuredly we are unto him surely preservers." ق ال إ ني ل ي ح ز ن ن ي أ ن ت ذ ه ب وا ب ه و أ خ اف أ ن ی ا آ ل ه الذ ي ب و أ نت م ع ن ه غ اف ل ون 13. He said, "Assuredly it surely saddens me that you go (away) with him and I fear that the wolf will eat him while you are of him oblivious." ق ال وا ل ي ن أ آ ل ه الذ ي ب و ن ح ن ع ص ب ة إ نا إ ذ ا لخ اس ر ون 14. They said, "Surely if the wolf eats him while we are a gang, assuredly we are then surely losers." ف ل ما ذ ه ب وا ب ه و أ ج م ع وا أ ن ی ج ع ل وه ف ي غ ي اب ة ال ج ب و أ و ح ي ن ا إ ل ي ه ل ت ن بي نه م ب ا م ر ه م ه ذ ا و ه م لا ی ش ع ر ون 15. So when they went (away) with him and gathered to put him in the depths of the water-pit... and We inspired to him: "You will apprise them of their affair, this, while they are not aware." و ج اؤ وا أ ب اه م ع ش اء ی ب ك ون 16. And they came to their father at dusk, weeping. ق ال وا ی ا أ ب ان ا إ نا ذ ه ب ن ا ن س ت ب ق و ت ر آ ن ا ی وس ف ع ند م ت اع ن ا ف ا آ ل ه الذ ي ب و م ا أ نت ب م و م ن لن ا و ل و آ نا ص اد ق ين 17. They said, "O our father, assuredly we went racing and left Joseph by our gear, then ate him did the wolf; and not do you have faith in us even if we are truthful." و ج ا ؤ وا ع ل ى ق م يص ه ب د م آ ذ ب ق ال ب ل س ول ت ل ك م أ نف س ك م أ م ر ا ف ص ب ر ج م يل و الل ه ال م س ت ع ان ع ل ى م ا ت ص ف ون 18. And they came upon his shirt, with lying blood. He said, "Rather, lured you did your selves (to) an affair; thus comely patience, and Allah is the Assister against what you describe." و ج اءت س يار ة ف ا ر س ل وا و ار د ه م ف ا د ل ى د ل و ه ق ال ی ا ب ش ر ى ه ذ ا غ لا م و أ س روه ب ض اع ة و الل ه ع ل يم ب م ا ی ع م ل ون 19. And came did wayfarers so they sent their fetcher, then he dangled his bucket. He said, "O glad tidings, this is a youth!" And they concealed him as merchandise; and Allah is most knowledgeable in what they perform." و ش ر و ه ب ث م ن ب خ س د ر اه م م ع د ود ة و آ ان وا ف يه م ن ال زاه د ین 20. And they bartered him for a depreciated price, numerable dirhams, and they were of him from the disinterested.

And said the one who bartered (for) him, from Egypt, to his wife, "Make gracious his residence, perhaps he will benefit us or we (may) take him as a son." And so We empowered Joseph on Earth, and thus We shall teach him from the interpretation of narratives; and Allah is conqueror over His affair, but the abundance of humanity knows not. و ل ما ب ل غ أ ش د ه ا ت ي ن اه ح ك م ا و ع ل م ا و آ ذ ل ك ن ج ز ي ال م ح س ن ين 22. And when he reached his vigor, We provided him judiciousness and knowledge; and thus We recompense the refined. و ر او د ت ه ا لت ي ه و ف ي ب ي ت ه ا ع ن نف س ه و غ لق ت الا ب و اب و ق ال ت ه ي ت ل ك ق ال م ع اذ الل ه إ ن ه ر بي أ ح س ن م ث و اي إ ن ه لا ی ف ل ح ال ظال م ون 23. And seduced him, did the one whom he was in her house, against himself and she closed the doors and said, "I am readied for you." He said, "The refuge of Allah! Assuredly he, my lord, refined my residence; assuredly prosper not do the oppressors." و ل ق د ه مت ب ه و ه م ب ه ا ل و لا أ ن رأ ى ب ر ه ان ر به آ ذ ل ك ل ن ص ر ف ع ن ه ال سوء و ال ف ح ش اء إ ن ه م ن ع ب اد ن ا ال م خ ل ص ين 24. And truly she was proceeding to him, and he was proceeding to her had he not seen the proof of his Lord. Thus, (it is) that We redirected from him the ill and offensiveness, assuredly he is from Our sincere slaves. و اس ت ب ق ا ال ب اب و ق دت ق م يص ه م ن د ب ر و أ ل ف ي ا س يد ه ا ل د ى ال ب اب ق ال ت م ا ج ز اء م ن أ ر اد ب ا ه ل ك س و ء ا إ لا أ ن ی س ج ن أ و ع ذ اب أ ل يم 25. And they raced to the door and she tore his shirt from hinder, and they came upon her master at the door. She said, "What is the recompense of whoever wanted with your family ill, but that he is imprisoned or painful torment?" ق ال ه ي ر او د ت ن ي ع ن نف س ي و ش ه د ش اه د من أ ه ل ه ا إ ن آ ان ق م يص ه ق د م ن ق ب ل ف ص د ق ت و ه و م ن الك اذ ب ين 26. He said, "She seduced me against myself." and witnessed did a witness from her family, "If it is that his shirt is torn from forth, then she is being true and he is of the liars." و إ ن آ ان ق م يص ه ق د م ن د ب ر ف ك ذ ب ت و ه و م ن ال صاد ق ين 27. "And if it is that his shirt is torn from hinder, then she lied and he is of the truthful." ف ل ما ر أ ى ق م يص ه ق د م ن د ب ر ق ال إ ن ه م ن آ ي د آ ن إ ن آ ي د آ ن ع ظ يم 28. So when he saw his shirt torn from hinder he said, "Assuredly it is from your guile, assuredly your guile is grand." ی وس ف أ ع ر ض ع ن ه ذ ا و اس ت غ ف ر ي ل ذ نب ك إ نك آ نت م ن ال خ اط ي ين 29. "Joseph avert from this." and (to her) "Invoke forgiveness for your guilt, assuredly you were ever of the wrongdoers."

And said women in the city, "The wife of The Most Esteemed is seducing her lad against himself, he has truly enamored her with love; assuredly we surely see her in manifest deviation." ف ل ما س م ع ت ب م ك ر ه ن أ ر س ل ت إ ل ي ه ن و أ ع ت د ت ل ه ن م تك ا و ا ت ت آ ل و اح د ة م ن ه ن س كين ا و ق ال ت اخ ر ج ع ل ي ه ن ف ل ما ر أ ی ن ه أ آ ب ر ن ه و ق طع ن أ ی د ی ه ن و ق ل ن ح اش ل ل ه م ا ه ذ ا ب ش ر ا إ ن ه ذ ا إ لا م ل ك آ ر یم 31. So when she heard of their scheming she sent for them and prepared for them a place to recline, and she provided each of them a knife and said, "Issue forth unto them." So when they saw him they magnified him and and cut their hands and said, "Exceptional is Allah! This is not human, indeed this is but a gracious angel." ق ال ت ف ذ ل ك ن ا لذ ي ل م ت نن ي ف يه و ل ق د ر او دت ه ع ن نف س ه ف اس ت ع ص م و ل ي ن لم ی ف ع ل م ا ا م ر ه ل ي س ج ن ن و ل ي ك ون ا من ال صاغ ر ین 32. She said, "Then that is the one you blamed me about, and truly I have seduced him against himself yet he retained (himself); and surely if he does not do what I order him, then surely he will be imprisoned and surely he will be from the belittled." ق ال ر ب الس ج ن أ ح ب إ ل ي م ما ی د ع ون ن ي إ ل ي ه و إ لا ت ص ر ف ع ني آ ي د ه ن أ ص ب إ ل ي ه ن و أ آ ن من ال ج اه ل ين 33. He said, "My Lord, surely the prison is more beloved to me than what they call me to, and if You direct not from me their guile I (may) lust towards them and be from the ignorant." ف اس ت ج اب ل ه ر ب ه ف ص ر ف ع ن ه آ ي د ه ن إ ن ه ه و ال سم يع ال ع ل يم 34. So responded to him did his Lord, thus He directed from him their guile; assuredly He is The Most Hearing, The Most Knowledgeable. ث م ب د ا ل ه م من ب ع د م ا ر أ و ا الا ی ات ل ي س ج ن ن ه ح تى ح ين 35. Then it was exhibited to them after what they saw of the signs that he (should) imprison him for a while. و د خ ل م ع ه ال سج ن ف ت ي ان ق ال أ ح د ه م ا إ ني أ ر ان ي أ ع ص ر خ م ر ا و ق ال الا خ ر إ ني أ ر ان ي أ ح م ل ف و ق ر أ س ي خ ب ز ا ت ا آ ل الط ي ر م ن ه ن بي ن ا ب ت ا و یل ه إ نا ن ر اك م ن ال م ح س ن ين 36. And entered with him (into) the prison did two lads. Said one of them, "Assuredly I saw myself juicing inebriants," and said the other, "Assuredly saw myself carrying atop my head bread, eating from it were birds. Apprise us of its interpretation, assuredly we see you are from the refined." ق ال لا ی ا ت يك م ا ط ع ام ت ر ز ق ان ه إ لا ن با ت ك م ا ب ت ا و یل ه ق ب ل أ ن ی ا ت يك م ا ذ ل ك م ا م ما ع لم ن ي ر بي إ ني ت ر آ ت م لة ق و م لا ی و م ن ون ب الل ه و ه م ب الا خ ر ة ه م آ اف ر ون 37. He said, "Arrives not to you (any) food you are provisioned but (that) I (can) apprise you of its interpretation before it arrives to you, that is from what my Lord has taught me. Assuredly I left the creed of a people who have not faith in Allah and they, of the later (life), they are repudiators."

"And I followed the creed of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and not is it for us that we associate with Allah anything; that is from the favor of Allah upon us and upon humanity, yet the abundance of humanity thanks not." ی ا ص اح ب ي ال سج ن أ أ ر ب اب مت ف رق ون خ ي ر أ م الل ه ال و اح د ال ق هار 39. "O companions of the prison, are partitioned lords better or Allah, The One, The Most Subduing?" م ا ت ع ب د ون م ن د ون ه إ لا أ س م اء س م ي ت م وه ا أ نت م و ا ب ا ؤ آ م ما أ نز ل الل ه ب ه ا م ن س ل ط ان إ ن ال ح ك م إ لا ل ل ه أ م ر أ لا ت ع ب د وا إ لا إ یاه ذ ل ك ال دین ال ق ي م و ل ك ن أ آ ث ر ال ناس لا ی ع ل م ون 40. "You worship not outside of Him but names you have named, you and your fathers; descended not did Allah in them any authority, indeed the adjudication is but for Allah. He ordered that you worship naught except Him; that is the straightforward religion, but the abundance of humanity knows not." ی ا ص اح ب ي ال سج ن أ ما أ ح د آ م ا ف ي س ق ي ر ب ه خ م ر ا و أ ما الا خ ر ف ي ص ل ب ف ت ا آ ل الط ي ر م ن رأ س ه ق ض ي الا م ر ا لذ ي ف يه ت س ت ف ت ي ان 41. "O companions of the prison, as for one of you then he will hydrate his lord (with) inebriants, and as for the other he will be crucified then eat will the birds from his head; concluded is the affair, the one (that) in it you seek ruling." و ق ال ل لذ ي ظ ن أ ن ه ن اج من ه م ا اذ آ ر ن ي ع ند ر بك ف ا نس اه ال شي ط ان ذ آ ر ر به ف ل ب ث ف ي ال سج ن ب ض ع س ن ين 42. And he said to the one that he surmised would be saved from them (both) "Remember me before your lord." So Satan made him forget remembrance of his Lord, thus he subsisted in the prison a few years. و ق ال ال م ل ك إ ني أ ر ى س ب ع ب ق ر ات س م ان ی ا آ ل ه ن س ب ع ع ج اف و س ب ع س نب لا ت خ ض ر و أ خ ر ی اب س ات ی ا أ یه ا ال م لا أ ف ت ون ي ف ي ر ؤ ی اي إ ن آ نت م ل ل رؤ ی ا ت ع ب ر ون 43. And said the king, "Assuredly I see seven fat cows, eating them are seven emaciated cows; and seven green spikes, and others dry. O you crowd, rule for me about my vision, if you are ever of the visions deciphering." ق ال وا أ ض غ اث أ ح لا م و م ا ن ح ن ب ت ا و یل الا ح لا م ب ع ال م ين 44. They said, "A jumble of dreams; and not are we, in the interpretation of dreams, knowledgeable." و ق ال ا لذ ي ن ج ا م ن ه م ا و ا دآ ر ب ع د أ مة أ ن ا أ ن بي ك م ب ت ا و یل ه ف ا ر س ل ون 45. And said did the one who was saved from them (both) and had remembered after a period, "I will apprise you of its interpretation, so send me." ی وس ف أ یه ا ال ص دیق أ ف ت ن ا ف ي س ب ع ب ق ر ات س م ان ی ا آ ل ه ن س ب ع ع ج اف و س ب ع س نب لا ت خ ض ر و أ خ ر ی اب س ات لع لي أ ر ج ع إ ل ى ال ناس ل ع له م ی ع ل م ون 46. "Joseph, O you most truthful, rule for us about seven fat cows, eating them are seven emaciated (ones), and seven green spikes and others dry so I might return to the people (so) they might know."

Page 6 of 12 ق ال ت ز ر ع ون س ب ع س ن ين د أ ب ا ف م ا ح ص د تم ف ذ ر وه ف ي س نب ل ه إ لا ق ل يلا م ما ت ا آ ل ون 47. He said, "You will plant seven years assiduously, so what you harvest then leave it in its spikes, except little for what you eat." ث م ی ا ت ي م ن ب ع د ذ ل ك س ب ع ش د اد ی ا آ ل ن م ا ق دم ت م ل ه ن إ لا ق ل يلا م ما ت ح ص ن ون 48. "Then will come after that seven vigorous (years), they will eat up what you forwarded for them, except little for what you safeguard." ث م ی ا ت ي م ن ب ع د ذ ل ك ع ام ف يه ی غ اث ال ناس و ف يه ی ع ص ر ون 49. "Then will come after that a year in which people are relieved and in which they juice." و ق ال ال م ل ك اي ت ون ي ب ه ف ل ما ج اءه ال رس ول ق ال ار ج ع إ ل ى ر بك ف اس ا ل ه م ا ب ال ال نس و ة ال لات ي ق طع ن أ ی د ی ه ن إ ن ر بي ب ك ي د ه ن ع ل يم 50. And said did the king, "Bring me him." So when came to him did the messenger he said, "Return to your lord, then ask him what is the case of the women that cut their hands. Assuredly my Lord is in their guile most knowledgeable." ق ال م ا خ ط ب ك ن إ ذ ر او د ت ن ی وس ف ع ن نف س ه ق ل ن ح اش ل ل ه م ا ع ل م ن ا ع ل ي ه م ن س وء ق ال ت ام ر أ ة ال ع ز یز الا ن ح ص ح ص ال ح ق أ ن ا ر او دت ه ع ن نف س ه و إ نه ل م ن ال صاد ق ين 51. He said, "What's up with you that you seduced Joseph against himself?" They said, "Exceptional is Allah! We know not about him any ill." Said the wife of The Most Esteemed, "Now divulged is the truth, I seduced him against himself, and assuredly he is surely from the truthful." ذ ل ك ل ي ع ل م أ ني ل م أ خ ن ه ب ال غ ي ب و أ ن الل ه لا ی ه د ي آ ي د ال خ اي ن ين 52. "That, so he knows that I betrayed him not in the unseen and that Allah guides not the guile of the betrayers." و م ا أ ب ر ئ ن ف س ي إ ن ال نف س لا مار ة ب ال سوء إ لا م ا ر ح م ر بي إ ن ر بي غ ف ور رح يم 53. "And I exonerate not myself, assuredly the self is surely an orderer of ill, except what my Lord mercies; assuredly my Lord is most forgiving, most merciful." و ق ال ال م ل ك اي ت ون ي ب ه أ س ت خ ل ص ه ل ن ف س ي ف ل ما آ لم ه ق ال إ نك ال ي و م ل د ی ن ا م ك ين أ م ين 54. And said did the king, "Bring me him, I exclude him for myself." So when he talked to him, he said "Assuredly you are today with us, empowered, secure." ق ال اج ع ل ن ي ع ل ى خ ز ا ي ن الا ر ض إ ني ح ف يظ ع ل يم 55. He said, "Put me (in charge) over the stores of the land, assuredly I am most preserving, most knowledgeable." و آ ذ ل ك م ك نا ل ي وس ف ف ي الا ر ض ی ت ب وأ م ن ه ا ح ي ث ی ش اء ن ص يب ب ر ح م ت ن ا م ن نش اء و لا ن ض يع أ ج ر ال م ح س ن ين 56. And thus We empowered Joseph over the land, he assumed (charge) of it wherever he willed. We impact, with Our mercy, whoever We will, and We waste not the reward of the refined. و ل ا ج ر الا خ ر ة خ ي ر ل لذ ین ا م ن وا و آ ان وا ی تق ون 57. And surely the reward of the later (life) is better for the ones who had faith and were ever venerating.

And came did the brothers of Joseph, then entered upon him; so he knew them and they were of him incognizant. و ل ما ج هز ه م ب ج ه از ه م ق ال اي ت ون ي ب ا خ لك م من أ ب يك م أ لا ت ر و ن أ ني أ وف ي ال ك ي ل و أ ن ا خ ي ر ال م نز ل ين 59. And when he had equipped them with their equipment, he said, "Bring me a brother of yours from your father. Do you not see that I fulfill the measure and that I am the best of hosts?" ف ا ن لم ت ا ت ون ي ب ه ف لا آ ي ل ل ك م ع ند ي و لا ت ق ر ب ون 60. "So if you do not bring me him, then no measure for you is with me and near me not." ق ال وا س ن ر او د ع ن ه أ ب اه و إ نا ل ف اع ل ون 61. They said, "We will seduce away from him, his father and assuredly we are surely doers." و ق ال ل ف ت ي ان ه اج ع ل وا ب ض اع ت ه م ف ي ر ح ال ه م ل ع له م ی ع ر ف ون ه ا إ ذ ا انق ل ب وا إ ل ى أ ه ل ه م ل ع له م ی ر ج ع ون 62. And he said to his lads "Put their merchandise in their luggage so they might know it when they rotate (back) to their families, thus they might return." ف ل ما ر ج ع وا إ ل ى أ ب يه م ق ال وا ی ا أ ب ان ا م ن ع م نا ال ك ي ل ف ا ر س ل م ع ن ا أ خ ان ا ن ك ت ل و إ نا ل ه ل ح اف ظ ون 63. So when they returned to their father they said, "O our father, prevented from us has been the measure, so send with us our brother (so) we have measure, and assuredly we are unto him surely preservers." ق ال ه ل ا م ن ك م ع ل ي ه إ لا آ م ا أ م نت ك م ع ل ى أ خ يه م ن ق ب ل ف الل ه خ ي ر ح اف ظ ا و ه و أ ر ح م ال راح م ين 64. He said, "Would I trust you with him except as I trusted you with his brother from before? So, Allah is the best of preservers and He is the most merciful of the merciful." و ل ما ف ت ح وا م ت اع ه م و ج د وا ب ض اع ت ه م ر دت إ ل ي ه م ق ال وا ی ا أ ب ان ا م ا ن ب غ ي ه ذ ه ب ض اع ت ن ا ر دت إ ل ي ن ا و ن م ير أ ه ل ن ا و ن ح ف ظ أ خ ان ا و ن ز د اد آ ي ل ب ع ير ذ ل ك آ ي ل ی س ير 65. And when they opened their gear the found their merchandise returned to them; they said, "O our father, what (else) do we seek? This is our merchandise returned to us and we will get rations for our family and preserve our brother and increase a measure of an animal's back, this is an easy measure." ق ال ل ن أ ر س ل ه م ع ك م ح تى ت و ت ون م و ث ق ا من الل ه ل ت ا ت نن ي ب ه إ لا أ ن ی ح اط ب ك م ف ل ما ا ت و ه م و ث ق ه م ق ال الل ه ع ل ى م ا ن ق ول و آ يل 66. He said, " I will send him not with you until you provide me a covenant, by Allah, that you will surely bring me him except if you are encompassed." So when they provided him their covenant he said, "Allah is over what we say a guardian." و ق ال ی ا ب ن ي لا ت د خ ل وا م ن ب اب و اح د و اد خ ل وا م ن أ ب و اب مت ف رق ة و م ا أ غ ن ي ع نك م من الل ه م ن ش ي ء إ ن ال ح ك م إ لا ل ل ه ع ل ي ه ت و آل ت و ع ل ي ه ف ل ي ت و آل ال م ت و آل ون 67. And he said, "O my sons, enter not from (only) one gate and enter from gates apart; and not am I enriching you against Allah anything; indeed the judiciousness is but to Allah, upon Him I have relied and upon Him then surely rely do the reliant."

Page 8 of 12 و ل ما د خ ل وا م ن ح ي ث أ م ر ه م أ ب وه م ما آ ان ی غ ن ي ع ن ه م من الل ه م ن ش ي ء إ لا ح اج ة ف ي ن ف س ی ع ق وب ق ض اه ا و إ نه ل ذ و ع ل م لم ا ع لم ن اه و ل ك ن أ آ ث ر ال ناس لا ی ع ل م ون 68. And when they entered from where ordered them did their father, not was it ever enriching them against Allah anything but (for) a need within Jacob's self he concluded; and assuredly he is a possessor of knowledge for what We have taught him, but the abundance of humanity knows not. و ل ما د خ ل وا ع ل ى ی وس ف ا و ى إ ل ي ه أ خ اه ق ال إ ني أ ن ا أ خ وك ف لا ت ب ت ي س ب م ا آ ان وا ی ع م ل ون 69. And when they entered upon Joseph, he sheltered unto himself his brother; he said, "Assuredly I am your brother so be not miserable with what they were ever performing." ف ل ما ج هز ه م ب ج ه از ه م ج ع ل ال سق ای ة ف ي ر ح ل أ خ يه ث م أ ذن م و ذن أ یت ه ا ال ع ير إ نك م ل س ار ق ون 70. So when he had equipped them with their equipment, he put the chalice in the luggage of his brother; then announced did an announcer, "O you caravaneers, assuredly you are surely theives!" ق ال وا و أ ق ب ل وا ع ل ي ه م ماذ ا ت ف ق د ون 71. They said, while they came towards them, "What are you missing?" ق ال وا ن ف ق د ص و اع ال م ل ك و ل م ن ج اء ب ه ح م ل ب ع ير و أ ن ا ب ه ز ع يم 72. They said, "We are missing the measuring cup of the king, and for whoever brings it is a load of an animal's back, and I am for it a claimant." ق ال وا ت الل ه ل ق د ع ل م ت م ما ج ي ن ا ل ن ف س د ف ي الا ر ض و م ا آ نا س ار ق ين 73. They said, "By Allah, you have truly known we came not to corrupt on Earth and not were we ever thieves." ق ال وا ف م ا ج ز ا ؤ ه إ ن آ نت م آ اذ ب ين 74. They said, "So what is its recompense if you are ever liars?" ق ال وا ج ز ا ؤ ه م ن و ج د ف ي ر ح ل ه ف ه و ج ز اؤ ه آ ذ ل ك ن ج ز ي ال ظال م ين 75. They said, "Its recompense is (that) whoever has it found in his luggage then he is its recompense, thus we recompense the oppressors." ف ب د أ ب ا و ع ي ت ه م ق ب ل و ع اء أ خ يه ث م اس ت خ ر ج ه ا م ن و ع اء أ خ يه آ ذ ل ك آ د ن ا ل ي وس ف م ا آ ان ل ي ا خ ذ أ خ اه ف ي د ین ال م ل ك إ لا أ ن ی ش اء الل ه ن ر ف ع د ر ج ات من نش اء و ف و ق آ ل ذ ي ع ل م ع ل يم 76. So he began with their receptacles before the receptacle of his brother, then he extracted it from the receptacle of his brother. Thus We beguiled for Joseph, not would he have taken his brother by the requital of the king except that Allah willed. We elevate degrees whoever We will, and above every possessor of knowledge is a more knowledgeable (one). ق ال وا إ ن ی س ر ق ف ق د س ر ق أ خ ل ه م ن ق ب ل ف ا س ره ا ی وس ف ف ي ن ف س ه و ل م ی ب د ه ا ل ه م ق ال أ نت م ش ر مك ان ا و الل ه أ ع ل م ب م ا ت ص ف ون 77. They said, "If he steals, then truly stole did a brother of his before." So concealed it did Joseph within himself, and exhibited it not to them, he said "You are more evilly placed, and Allah is most knowledgeable in what you describe."

Page 9 of 12 ق ال وا ی ا أ یه ا ال ع ز یز إ ن ل ه أ ب ا ش ي خ ا آ ب ير ا ف خ ذ أ ح د ن ا م ك ان ه إ نا ن ر اك م ن ال م ح س ن ين 78. They said, "O you Most Esteemed, assuredly he has a greatly aged father, so take one of us (in) his place, assuredly we see you are from the refined." ق ال م ع اذ الل ه أ ن نا خ ذ إ لا م ن و ج د ن ا م ت اع ن ا ع ند ه إ نا إ ذ ا لظ ال م ون 79. He said, "The refuge of Allah, that we should take but whoever we found our gear with him, assuredly we would then be surely oppressors!" ف ل ما اس ت ي ا س وا م ن ه خ ل ص وا ن ج ي ا ق ال آ ب ير ه م أ ل م ت ع ل م وا أ ن أ ب اآ م ق د أ خ ذ ع ل ي ك م مو ث ق ا من الل ه و م ن ق ب ل م ا ف رطت م ف ي ی وس ف ف ل ن أ ب ر ح الا ر ض ح تى ی ا ذ ن ل ي أ ب ي أ و ی ح ك م الل ه ل ي و ه و خ ي ر ال ح اآ م ين 80. So when they despaired of him they excluded themselves, communing. Said their eldest, "Do you not know that your father has truly taken upon you a covenant by Allah, and from before you were remiss with Joseph? So never will I depart the land until permits me does my father or so judges does Allah for me, and He is the best of judges." ار ج ع وا إ ل ى أ ب يك م ف ق ول وا ی ا أ ب ان ا إ ن اب ن ك س ر ق و م ا ش ه د ن ا إ لا ب م ا ع ل م ن ا و م ا آ نا ل ل غ ي ب ح اف ظ ين 81. "Return to your father, then say: O our father, assuredly your son stole and we bore witness not except with what we know and not are we ever of the unseen, preservers." و اس ا ل ال ق ر ی ة ا لت ي آ نا ف يه ا و ال ع ي ر ا لت ي أ ق ب ل ن ا ف يه ا و إ نا ل ص اد ق ون 82. "And ask the village that we were in and the caravaneers that we came along with; and assuredly we are surely truthful." ق ال ب ل س ول ت ل ك م أ نف س ك م أ م ر ا ف ص ب ر ج م يل ع س ى الل ه أ ن ی ا ت ي ن ي ب ه م ج م يع ا إ ن ه ه و ال ع ل يم ال ح ك يم 83. He said, "Rather, lured you did your selves (to) an affair; thus comely patience, perhaps Allah will bring me them, all; assuredly He is The Most Knowledgeable, The Most Judicious." و ت و لى ع ن ه م و ق ال ی ا أ س ف ى ع ل ى ی وس ف و اب ي ضت ع ي ن اه م ن ال ح ز ن ف ه و آ ظ يم 84. And he turned from them and said "O sorrow over Joseph!" and his eyes whitened from the sadness, for he was most repressing (it). ق ال وا ت االله ت ف ت ا ت ذ آ ر ی وس ف ح تى ت ك ون ح ر ض ا أ و ت ك ون م ن ال ه ال ك ين 85. They said, "By Allah, you will (not) desist remembering Joseph until you become infirm or you become of the destroyed!" ق ال إ نم ا أ ش ك و ب ثي و ح ز ن ي إ ل ى الل ه و أ ع ل م م ن الل ه م ا لا ت ع ل م ون 86. He said, "In fact, I complain my anguish and my sadness to Allah, and I know from Allah what you know not." ی ا ب ن ي اذ ه ب وا ف ت ح سس وا م ن ی وس ف و أ خ يه و لا ت ي ا س وا م ن رو ح الل ه إ ن ه لا ی ي ا س م ن رو ح الل ه إ لا ال ق و م ال ك اف ر ون 87. "O my sons, go then feel out for Joseph and his brother, and despair not of restfulness from Allah; assuredly none despair of the restfulness from Allah except the repudiating people."

Page 10 of 12 ف ل ما د خ ل وا ع ل ي ه ق ال وا ی ا أ یه ا ال ع ز یز م سن ا و أ ه ل ن ا ال ض ر و ج ي ن ا ب ب ض اع ة مز ج اة ف ا و ف ل ن ا ال ك ي ل و ت ص دق ع ل ي ن ا إ ن الل ه ی ج ز ي ال م ت ص دق ين 88. So when they entered upon him they said "O you Most Esteemed, touched us and our family has the harm and we have come with paltry merchandise, so fulfill for us the measure and be charitable upon us; assuredly Allah rewards the charitable." ق ال ه ل ع ل م ت م ما ف ع ل ت م ب ي وس ف و أ خ يه إ ذ أ نت م ج اه ل ون 89. He said, "Do you know what you did with Joseph and his brother while you were ignorant?" ق ال وا أ إ نك ل ا نت ی وس ف ق ال أ ن ا ی وس ف و ه ذ ا أ خ ي ق د م ن الل ه ع ل ي ن ا إ ن ه م ن ی تق و ی ص ب ر ف ا ن الل ه لا ی ض يع أ ج ر ال م ح س ن ين 90. They said, "Is it assuredly you, are you surely Joseph?" He said, "I am Joseph and this is my brother, truly Allah has obliged us; assuredly he who venerates and is patient, then assuredly Allah wastes not the reward of the refined." ق ال وا ت الل ه ل ق د ا ث ر ك الل ه ع ل ي ن ا و إ ن آ نا ل خ اط ي ين 91. They said, "By Allah, truly Allah has preferred you over us and we were surely wrong." ق ال لا ت ث ر یب ع ل ي ك م ال ي و م ی غ ف ر الل ه ل ك م و ه و أ ر ح م ال راح م ين 92. He said, "No berating upon you today, may Allah forgive you; and He is the most merciful of the merciful." اذ ه ب وا ب ق م يص ي ه ذ ا ف ا ل ق وه ع ل ى و ج ه أ ب ي ی ا ت ب ص ير ا و أ ت ون ي ب ا ه ل ك م أ ج م ع ين 93. "Go with my shirt, this, then cast it upon the countenance of my father, he will become sighted; and come to me with your family, all together." و ل ما ف ص ل ت ال ع ير ق ال أ ب وه م إ ني ل ا ج د ر یح ی وس ف ل و لا أ ن ت ف ند ون 94. And when the caravaneers separated (from Egypt) their father said, "Assuredly I surely find the whiff of Joseph, if not that you discredit me." ق ال وا ت الل ه إ نك ل ف ي ض لا ل ك ال ق د یم 95. They said, "By Allah, assuredly you are surely in your old deviation." ف ل ما أ ن ج اء ال ب ش ير أ ل ق اه ع ل ى و ج ه ه ف ار ت د ب ص ير ا ق ال أ ل م أ ق ل لك م إ ني أ ع ل م م ن الل ه م ا لا ت ع ل م ون 96. So when came did the herald of glad tidings, he cast it upon his countenance, so he reverted sighted. He said, "Did I not tell you that assuredly I know from Allah what you know not?" ق ال وا ی ا أ ب ان ا اس ت غ ف ر ل ن ا ذ ن وب ن ا إ نا آ نا خ اط ي ين 97. They said, "O our father, invoke forgiveness for us, (for) our guilt; assuredly we were ever wrong." ق ال س و ف أ س ت غ ف ر ل ك م ر بي إ ن ه ه و ال غ ف ور ال رح يم 98. He said, "I will invoke forgiveness for you from my Lord, assuredly He is The Most Forgiving, The Most Merciful."

Page 11 of 12 ف ل ما د خ ل وا ع ل ى ی وس ف ا و ى إ ل ي ه أ ب و ی ه و ق ال اد خ ل وا م ص ر إ ن ش اء الل ه ا م ن ين 99. So when they entered upon Joseph, he sheltered unto himself his parents and said, "Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, secure." و ر ف ع أ ب و ی ه ع ل ى ال ع ر ش و خ روا ل ه س جد ا و ق ال ی ا أ ب ت ه ذ ا ت ا و یل ر ؤ ی اي م ن ق ب ل ق د ج ع ل ه ا ر بي ح ق ا و ق د أ ح س ن ب ي إ ذ أ خ ر ج ن ي م ن ال سج ن و ج اء ب ك م من ال ب د و م ن ب ع د أ ن نزغ ال شي ط ان ب ي ن ي و ب ي ن إ خ و ت ي إ ن ر بي ل ط يف لم ا ی ش اء إ ن ه ه و ال ع ل يم ال ح ك يم 100. And he elevated his parents upon the throne and they collapsed, prostrating unto him, and he said "O my father, this is the interpretation of my vision from before, my Lord has truly made it right and He was truly fine with me, for He issued me from prison and brought you from the nomads after incited did Satan between me and my brothers; assuredly my Lord is gentle in what He wills, assuredly He is The Most Knowledgeable, The Most Judicious." ر ب ق د ا ت ي ت ن ي م ن ال م ل ك و ع لم ت ن ي م ن ت ا و یل الا ح اد یث ف اط ر ال سم او ات و الا ر ض أ نت و ل يي ف ي ال دن ي ا و الا خ ر ة ت و فن ي م س ل م ا و أ ل ح ق ن ي ب ال صال ح ين 101. "My Lord, You have truly provided me from the dominion and taught me from the interpretation of narratives, The Originator of the heavens and Earth, You are my trustee in the worldly (life) and the later, reclaim me submitted and append me to the righteous." ذ ل ك م ن أ نب اء ال غ ي ب ن وح يه إ ل ي ك و م ا آ نت ل د ی ه م إ ذ أ ج م ع وا أ م ر ه م و ه م ی م ك ر ون 102. That is from the news of the unseen, We inspire it to you; and not were you with them when they gathered their affair and they were scheming. و م ا أ آ ث ر ال ناس و ل و ح ر ص ت ب م و م ن ين 103. And not is the abundance of humanity, even if you are caring (for it), faithful. و م ا ت س ا ل ه م ع ل ي ه م ن أ ج ر إ ن ه و إ لا ذ آ ر لل ع ال م ين 104. And you ask them not for it any reward, for it is but a reminder to the worlds. و آ ا ین من ا ی ة ف ي ال سم او ات و الا ر ض ی م رون ع ل ي ه ا و ه م ع ن ه ا م ع ر ض ون 105. And how many a sign in the heavens and Earth do they pass over and they are from it averting? و م ا ی و م ن أ آ ث ر ه م ب الل ه إ لا و ه م مش ر آ ون 106. And have not faith do the abundance of them in Allah except while they are Associating. أ ف ا م ن وا أ ن ت ا ت ي ه م غ اش ي ة من ع ذ اب الل ه أ و ت ا ت ي ه م ال ساع ة ب غ ت ة و ه م لا ی ش ع ر ون 107. Are they secured against arriving to them a covering of the torment of Allah, or The Hour arriving to them suddenly while they are not aware? ق ل ه ذ ه س ب يل ي أ د ع و إ ل ى الل ه ع ل ى ب ص ير ة أ ن ا و م ن ا تب ع ن ي و س ب ح ان الل ه و م ا أ ن ا م ن ال م ش ر آ ين 108. Say: "This is my way, I call to Allah with insight, I and whoever follows me; and extolled is Allah, and not am I from the Associators."

Page 12 of 12 و م ا أ ر س ل ن ا م ن ق ب ل ك إ لا ر ج الا نوح ي إ ل ي ه م من أ ه ل ال ق ر ى أ ف ل م ی س ير وا ف ي الا ر ض ف ي نظ ر وا آ ي ف آ ان ع اق ب ة ا لذ ین م ن ق ب ل ه م و ل د ار الا خ ر ة خ ي ر ل لذ ین ا تق وا أ ف لا ت ع ق ل ون 109. And We sent not from before you except men We inspired unto them from the people of the villages. Have they not wayfared amid Earth then seen how was the outcome of the ones from before them? And surely the home of the late (life) is better for the ones who venerate, are you not mindful? ح تى إ ذ ا اس ت ي ا س الر س ل و ظ نوا أ نه م ق د آ ذ ب وا ج اءه م ن ص ر ن ا ف ن جي م ن نش اء و لا ی ر د ب ا س ن ا ع ن ال ق و م ال م ج ر م ين 110. Until, when despaired did the messengers and they surmised that they had been truly belied, came to them did Our victory; so saved was whoever We willed, and reverts not does Our toughness from the maleficent people. ل ق د آ ان ف ي ق ص ص ه م ع ب ر ة لا و ل ي الا ل ب اب م ا آ ان ح د یث ا ی ف ت ر ى و ل ك ن ت ص د یق ا لذ ي ب ي ن ی د ی ه و ت ف ص يل آ ل ش ي ء و ه د ى و ر ح م ة لق و م ی و م ن ون 111. There has truly been in their stories a lesson for the ones with cognition; not was it ever a narrative contrived, but a verification of that which is between its hands, and a detailing of everything, and guidance and mercy for people having faith.
