From ancient sites in Athens to sun drenched Greek islands where the water is the color of blue like you see no where else, Greece is on the short list of places you want to go. Enjoy incredible sailing, learn to Med Moore, captain your own yacht or take a skipper and enjoy your vacation! We will see the real Greece, quaint fishing villages, vineyard tours, gastronomic delights in local tavernas, shopping, nightlife, and the list goes on. We will depart from Athens and sail the beautiful Saronic Gulf. Here you will find beautiful harbors and bays that offer you everything from lively tavernas, shopping and cultural sites to quiet secluded bays. June 16th you will disembark. June 9th 4:00pm- we will meet at Café de Noche in Alimos Marina, Athens. Once everyone has arrived we will go to our respective boats for a check in. Initial provisioning is on board or you

can also do some shopping at this time. The market is across the street from the marina. There will be initial provisions on the boat when you arrive. There are wonderful opportunities to provision on all the islands, this will give us an opportunity to try the fresh and local produce, meats and cheeses..don t forget the wine! 7:00 pm: Chart briefing and welcome. You will be free to go to dinner after the chart briefing and welcome. There are several options in the marina or close by, or you may choose to head to Plaka for a night on the town! Details: The prices listed by the boats include the charter fee for chartering your boat from 5pm Saturday, June 9th through Saturday morning June 16th. The refundable security deposit will be taken as a credit card imprint prior to boarding depending on the type of boat the deposit will vary. If you would like to hire a skipper for your boat he will take up one cabin, but not count toward the per person rate. The lead boat will come with a skipper, mate and an ASA flotilla representative. If you don t have your own group please let us know and we can match you up with other like minded sailors to share the boat with. It s a great way to meet new friends and learn from other sailors! Your vessel s fuel tank will be full at the start of your charter. After returning to the dock you will top off your fuel. Fuel trucks come to the pier. Your 50% deposit will due at the time of booking. Your balance will be due 90 days before your flotilla starts. Please designate a skipper and mate for your boat. Hire a skipper and leave the worries to him! Prices are quoted at $1.45 to 1 Euro. If the Euro exceeds that amount we reserve the right to adjust pricing at the time of boarding. Local exchange rates will apply. We strongly recommend that you purchase insurance for trip cancellation, accident, sickness, and/or loss of baggage and personal effects. The yacht is insured by the owner during the charter, it is recommended that you purchase additional liability coverage to protect you and your guests from any injury, accident or illness. Damage to the yacht beyond normal wear and tear is the responsibility of the charterer. Please click on Insure My Trip for more information on trip cancellation insurance, medical emergency

Cancellations inside of 60 days are non refundable. Provisioning: There is a full service market across the street from the marina. There will be time to do some initial provisioning when you arrive on Saturday. There is excellent to good provisioning on all the islands as well. Travel: You will need a valid passport. You will fly into Athens, Greece. You will need to board the yacht on Saturday June 9th. You can book your flight to return home as early as Saturday morning. You can stay on board Friday night (yacht scheduling permitting) and depart Saturday morning if you like or choose to book a room for Friday night. You may want arrive in Athens a day or two earlier to enjoy the sites and to get acclimated to the time change. We can recommend a couple of nice hotels in Athens for you to stay. A typical day will start with breakfast on board. We will set sail and make our way to the next island. We may stop along the way for lunch a swim and maybe a visit to some ancient ruins. We will continue on to our destination where you will have the afternoon to relax or explore the island at your leisure. Dinner is ashore in a wonderful traverna featuring local delicacies and fresh fish. The evening is free to do some dancing, relax with an after dinner drink on the boat or take a walk along the water front or through the town. There will be opportunities for group dinners or you are free to explore on your own. You flotilla leader can suggest great options for that romantic dinner for two or your large group. There will be a welcome party on the first night of our sail compliments of ASA and Custom Sailing. Sample Itinerary Med Mooring at Sunset Day 1- After the chart briefing and checkout we will spend the night on the boat in Athens, familiarize ourselves with the boat and enjoy the nightlife of the Plaka, setting sail the next morning. Day 2- We set sail for Epidhavoros which is on the mainland in the Peloponnisos area. Here is a small quaint village, but 30 minutes away is a theater that is still one of the best preserved Greek theaters and one of the finest pieces of classical architecture in existence. It s still used for concerts today, the acoustics are perfect! We will plan to visit the theater the next morning via air conditioned coach. This excursion is 12 Euro per person for those that would like to go. The entry fee to the museum and theater grounds

are 6 Euro. In the last 3 years they recently discovered another smaller theater under a hill of orange and lemon trees over looking the harbor. Day 3- We sail to Poros When you sail into Poros you see the town built on the rocky slopes of the island and as you approach you say to yourself this is a Greek island! It s one of the most beautiful approaches in Greece. There are several really nice bays for swimming, some with ruins dating back centuries. There is a marine academy here, great night life and wonderful tavernas and beautiful markets for stocking up on fresh fruits and veggies as well as a secrete bakery down an alley way with the most amazing bread ever! There is no sign; you have to know where this place is. The father and son don t speak English so brush up on your Greek or sign language. In Poros we can enjoy a group dinner at the Oasis Taverna for the finest the sea has to offer! We will take a head count this morning to see how many will be joining the group. Day 4- We sail to Spetsis - This history-rich island of tranquil pine forests was the setting for John Fowles' The Magus. This is a charming island and a great area to rent a bicycle and explore the coast line. Day 5- We sail to Ermioni but first a stop at a small private island for swimming and lunch. Ermioni is the site or the first recorded regattas in history as well as our Greek style bar-b-cue and Toga party. Bring your costume and be ready to dance on the tables! Opa Opa! Day 6- We have a raft up in a quiet bay with all the ASA boats. Alternatively we can sail to Aegina, the island of pistachios and octopus with a well-protected anchorage. Hire a scooter or taxi and ride over to Agia Marina harbor for lunch and a hike up to the Temple of Aphaia, one of the finest Doric Temples remaining in all of the Greek Iles. Day 7- We can leave early morning for a short 1.5 mile motor to a beautiful deserted island for swimming and sunning before sailing back to Alimos Marina in Athens. Book your trip of a lifetime! Email Valerie@customsailing.net or call 770-517-2992.
