AROUND THE CLUB Ladies Bible Study News It has been my pleasure to serve our community, for the past nine years, by hosting the Monday Ladies Bible study in my home. However, I am pleased to announce that we will have a new leader for this group beginning in the fall. Lisa Godwin Holland will now be serving in that role. There will be an informational meeting on September 11 at 6:45 p.m., at Lisa s home at 1900 Bent Pine Park. All ladies, from all communities within the Georgia Club, are welcome to attend. Lisa will be sharing pertinent information on the fall study that will begin on September 18. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lisa at mlgodwin@bellsouth.net. Movie on the Lawn Sing On August 4, The Georgia Club hosted the Movie on the Lawn event at Village Hall. Members attended a screening of the movie Sing on a 17 x25 inflatable screen. The rain could not interrupt this summer event as the event was later moved inside for the conclusion of the movie. It was a memorable summer event as members sang along with popcorn, air conditioning and beverages in the Georgia Clubs Dawgwood ballroom. Chase Enix brings a great attitude and always has a smile on his face and he is always willing to lend a hand regardless of the task and is willing to help in any department. We appreciate his dedication to serving members and guests and making The Georgia Club the best it can be. Featured Home The Taunton above: Lydia Huff with Stephanie Askew (left); below: Chase Enix (left) Mike O Malley Employee of the Month Stephanie Askew joined our food and beverage team in May and has brightened the Clubhouse with her huge smile and willingness to serve. She is a true team player and helps whenever needed. You ll see her bright grin in the dining room serving or on the beverage cart. We are grateful to have her as an employee. Designed to be filled with light and open for entertaining, the Taunton is easily one of our most popular floorplans in Bent Pine. The front porch, a traditional sign of welcoming in Southern architecture, is perfect for sitting and sipping your sweet tea and greeting your neighbors. Inside, the great room is truly the center piece of this home. Anchored on one end by a gas fireplace and the breakfast bar/ kitchen on the other, this living area is ideal for entertaining and meant to be enjoyed. With features like 10 ceilings, and a full pane glass doors leading you outside, cramped is no longer in your vocabulary. And whether you are sitting in the breakfast nook enjoying your lunch, grabbing a quick bite at the breakfast bar, or enjoying the fresh air and a cool drink on the covered rear porch, you are never far from what we consider the heart of this home. Details like granite counters, stainless appliances, and tiled backsplash keep the kitchen looking timeless and elegant and for more formal occasions you are just steps away from a separate dining room. The master suite is tucked away from the hustle and bustle for privacy and it is on the main level for your convenience. The luxurious master bathroom features dual vanity, soaking tub, separate shower and linen closet before stepping in to the oversized master closet, fully outfitted with wood ventilated shelving. Upstairs family and guests enjoy their own space, with two bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and closet. This home has an attached 2-car garage, with additional room for a golf cart, work area or storage. At 2793 square feet, this home isn t too big or too small. Schedule your own private tour and we are sure you will agree, it is just right.
