This is a wonderful event filled with lots of great racing and fun for the entire family. Our format remains the same as last year. The lineups for heat races will be determined by a pill draw, and to help our young racers adapt to the racetrack itself, we will have two 3-minute rounds of practice. 2015 Silver State Winter Nationals Presented by Good Times Quarter Midget Racing Association The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, Nevada December 2 6, 2015 Pre-Registration Entry Fee: $80.00 per driver one car/ one class. Registration and payment must be postmarked by November 20, 2015. Money orders or cashier s checks only, payable to Good Times QMRA. You may register online at www.goodtimesqm.com with your PayPal account. No refunds after November 20, 2015. Late Entries will be accepted, fee is $100.00 for one car/class. QMA Badges will be required at sign-ins. All handlers (QMA members only) will be required to wear wristbands in the track area, these can be obtained at sign-ins. Directions: From the I15 The best route would be to Drive West on Flamingo, then take the first Right past the Rio heading North on Valley View. Go 3 Lights then turn Right and proceed East on Twain the entrance to the lot will be on your right just past the employee lot Hotel Info Reservations can be made at https://resweb.passkey.com/go/srgtq5 You must register by Oct 30, 2015. Book only for the adults in your group do not add kids to your registration. In the notes of registration, specify 2 Queens or 1 King. Rooms are equipped with a refrigerator. For guests that prefer to phone in their reservations, you may call the Reservation Center at 1.888.746.6955 to secure a reservation on our group block. However, you should be aware that a processing fee per reservation will be incurred if you choose not to use the dedicated weblink. Callers should also use the group code to identify the group, SRGTQ5. Guests that booked under the 72 hour sale be sure to book the same room type (Classic and Deluxe are the same rooms) to ensure you can stay in the same room the entire stay. Golf Carts & ATV s For safety reasons, no side-by-side ATV s, Rhinos, or quads. Golf carts are allowed, but must only be operated by persons over the age of 16. 2015 Silver State Winter Nationals presented by Good Times Quarter Midget Racing Association The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, Nevada December 2 6, 2015 SIGN-IN All cars need to be pre-registered to avoid Late Entry Fee All cars must pass safety before completing sign in process All cars must be signed in to practice All cars must be signed in and pass safety by Thursday, Dec 3 at 2:00 p.m. to be involved in pill draw to determine heats. If you sign in after 2:00 p.m., you will tag rear of heat race. Sign-ins will close Thursday, Dec 3 at 5:00 pm. RACE FORMAT Practice- Maximum 7 cars, 3 minutes 2 rounds time permitting Time Limits- Subject to change All races will have a time limit to be determined on race day. (If AA & Half drivers do not complete heat race prior to time limit, the cars will not refuel. The race will conclude with the 80 lap fuel limit.) The race finish will be determined on the next yellow/red flag that is thrown after the time limit has expired. The tower will score the finish by the last line up after the yellow/red flag. Heats and Main Laps All races will be run HOT OUT OF THE CHUTE. (NO WARM UP LAPS). Corner workers cars 1 4 in corresponding corner. Heat Races will be 20 laps Lower Mains will be 25 laps Novice A Mains will be 25 laps A Mains will be 30 laps Juniors/ 40 laps Seniors Classes with one car will run green, white, checkered flag. Line Up Order All heat races will line up according to pill draw Judging Per QMA rules QMA Code of Conduct will be strictly enforced Tech All engines will be sealed immediately after Heat after you cross the scale. Handlers are responsible to see that their engine is sealed by a track official. Top three finishers in each class will be impounded after the Main Event. All cars signed in are subject to tech. Fuel/Tires No fuel will be provided. Mandatory fuel, Chevron midgrade purchased at Chevron 3201 W Tropicana Ave. Corner of Tropicana Ave and Dean Martin. No Fuel Containers over 5 gallons. Fire Extinguishers must be at ALL TRAILERS. Fuel and oil will be checked at Tech s discretion. AA s and Half s will have a 5-minute time limit to refuel. All drivers not ready to race when time expires will be sent to the pits and will start at the back of the pack, if they return before the green flag. Dunlop tires are the spec tire of the 2015 Winter Nationals. Tire rule as per the 2015 QMA rule book will apply: Lower Main/Heat race tires will be handled per QMA rules. A Main tires will be handled in the same procedure as the Grands : All drivers that will participate in the A main will purchase a tire voucher, at a designated location, for the tires that must be utilized during the A main event. Tires will be marked and\or branded across the racing surface of the tire to ensure no alteration of the tire for racing. Tires will be allowed to be taken back to the trailers to be mounted by the hander. When handler/driver come to staging the brand must be on the tire and tires must still be in virgin condition. Any tires not meeting the criteria will not be allowed to race and the handler/driver must purchase another tire. After going through staging area, tires must remain untouched, no grinding, scotch brite, needling, sanding, etc Cars will enter track on unaltered tires.
Awards First place Dog Tags will be awarded to all heat race winners First through third place in Main events will receive a custom slot machine trophy. First place Main event finishers will receive a signed checkered flag.
