The fan I use in that room, sure dries the paint quickly, so some of my work isn't the best. The charger for our Christmas exchange hasn't been easy and I'm hoping the spray varnish will help the paint adhere. We enjoyed a send off lunch for Molly in Spearfish for those who could make it. Who will take over the singing at the meetings? Mary Z. will have to go solo. Always so much fun to have her in the group and maybe a new chapter is on her horizon. Wishing her well from all of us. Thanks to Bonnie for the apron with painters names on it to accompany her. The bunco committee is requesting that we paint smaller items for door prizes, so if you wonder what to paint next, that would be an idea. Also anyone interested in being the spring retreat chairperson could step up. It isn't a difficult job, but we will need someone for next spring. Consider the challenge! This is vacation month, so I'm not very "newsy". Do you have a "tool toy" that is your favorite. I'm getting so I use the mushroom shaped sponge for base coating and really like it. If there is something that makes your project go faster, let us know at the next meeting. What is your favorite varnish or sealer? A recent purchase was a DSLR camera. I am studying the owners manual and hoping I will get some decent pictures in the future. It's a good thing there is an auto feature for beginners. The directions for attaching the neck strap kept me occupied for quite awhile. My goal is to have some experience by the time a Grand Canyon trip comes up in the fall. Have you sorted through your paints lately? It might be a good time to get rid of some of the paint that you can no longer shake in the bottle. So long bridgeport grey. Got rid of several bottles yesterday. Now I will have room for new fresh paint or colored pencil supplies. After completing a 5.3 mile hike today with a friend, I'm looking forward to a quiet evening. Stay cool and paint away. See you next month.
