Sun Care Tips Remeber to visit the Nivea Sun Hydration and protection zone on the day to reapply your sunscreen regularly. LITTLE injury prevention STRETCH AND WARM UP YOUR MUSCLES One of the easiest ways to help prevent injury is to stretch. By warming up your muscles, you make them more flexible which allows you to move your joints through their full range of motion. Starting Position: Stand on one leg. Movement: While standing, grasp your left ankle and pull your hip joint until you feel the stretching in your front thighs. Keep abdominal muscles tight. Hold this position for 20-30 seconds. Repeat 3 times per leg. Starting Position: Stand with legs far apart. Movement: Shift your body weight to the right, bending your knee until you can feel the pull inside your thighs. Hold this position for 20-30 seconds. repeat 3 times per leg. GO AT YOUR OWN PACE Doing too much too soon may cause injury. Don t exert yourself too far beyond your level of fitness. Just take your time and go at your own pace. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!
CHECK IN TIME IS AS PER SCHEDULE ABOVE: You must check in together as a team so you get your correct team gear. Arrange to meet any other team/s you wish to dash with on the other side of the CHECK IN gate. Choose one of the following options, either SCAN or MANUAL tent: Option A: If you received your team bib numbers in the post and have brought them with you, enter a SCAN CHECK IN tent gate: Attach the bib to the chest of each team member, clearly visible, so the scanner can access and read each bib bar code easily. Collect your team gear and samples. LITTLE 1. Check in 2. Warm up Join us after check in front of the stage for some fun with the team warm up at your scheduled time. 10 to 15 min before the scheduled START time, teams will be called to line up in the START CHUTE. There is no need to enter the START CHUTE before call up. 3. The Start When called, line up in the START CHUTE WITH your COMPLETE TEAM (and any other team in the same wave you have pre-arranged to complete the course with). At the scheduled time teams will be released from the CHUTE and set off on the course in small lots of approx. 50 people at a time until the START CHUTE is cleared of all teams. Starting in small waves at a time helps minimise wait times at obstacles around the course for all teams and keeps everything flowing nicely around the course so teams have a good time. Option B: If for any reason you do not have your team bib numbers with you on the day, go to MANUAL CHECK IN tent: Deliver/fill in any incomplete CHECK IN registration paperwork with the customer service people, if not completed prior. Collect your team bibs. Attach the bib to the chest of each team member, clearly visible, so the scanner can access and read each bib bar code easily. Lost Kids, parents and lost property It is a great idea to point out the Information/Meeting Point tent to children prior to the start of the event. Any lost property that is handed in will also be lodged with the Help Team personnel at the Information tent. This is also the location we will keep any lost kids or parents entertained before they are reunited with their loved ones.?
