Board of Director Positions President Danielle Hilliker The President shall conduct and preside over the Board and general meetings, call all meetings and assign tasks as it deems appropriate. Enforces Code of Conduct, House Rules and League Bylaws. Addresses disputes and complaints, and presents them to the Board, as necessary. Oversees the overall management of the organization by the Board of Directors. In general, performs all duties incident to the office of President and such other duties as may be prescribed by the officers from time to time. Attend NYFL meetings. Serves as the Chief Volunteer of the organization. Provides leadership to the Board of Directors, that sets policy and the organization s mission. Chairs meetings of the Board. Discusses issues confronting the organization with the BOD. Helps guide and mediate Board actions with respect to organizational priorities and governance concerns. Monitors financial planning and financial reports. Informally evaluates the effectiveness of the Board members. Evaluates annually the performance of the organization in achieving its mission. Performs other responsibilities assigned by the Board. Signature authority for checking account. Executive Vice President (Fundraising & Volunteers) Kim Wendt The Executive VP plans and implements special events throughout the year including but not limited to fundraising, Merchandise sales, Pep Rally, year-end Banquet, Parent s social, Home coming, Raffle Prize Solicitors for banquet, etc The Executive VP should plan to arrive early and stay late on game day. There is much to do with organizing volunteers, making sure the volunteers are there, greeting the other team's Board members, directing people where to go for weigh ins, just to name a few of the regular occurrences as well as the unexpected. oversee volunteer attendance (especially video and photography).
The Executive VP is to be present for all games as the acting Board representative for the Ravens. The Executive, VP should attempt to be at as many of organization's functions as possible as a board representative, and to lend a hand. Examples: equipment handout and return, registration, pep rally, cheer competition. Attend BOD meetings on a regular basis (minimum of 80%). In the absence of the President, assume all responsibilities of the President. In the absence of the President, preside over the BOD board meetings and/or League Meetings. Lead all fundraising efforts with President Plan and Implement Pep Rally & Homecoming with VP, Operations and GM s Plan & Implement Year End Banquet Plan and Implement other special events Manage, set up and provide guidance & direction/communication Volunteers. Vice President Operations - Open The Vice Presidents, Operations responsibilities are year round: attending meetings, responding to emails, planning and getting ready for the season, reaching out to members to fill board positions, and many other circumstances that arise and need to be addressed on and off season. During the season the Vice President is responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly on game day. The VP is to be present for all games as the acting Board representative for the Ravens. If the VP can not be there, he/she must make sure that there is another Board member there acting as the Board representative and working with the GMs to ensure that any problems that arise are addressed in the manner that the Board would see fit. Concessions - responsible for all matters that relate to the operation of the
concessions stand on game days. Game day operations: Oversee field set-up Press-box access prior to game Concessions - responsible for all matters that relate to the operation of the concessions stand on game days. Obtain list of referees, payment of referees (obtain funds from treasurer), Ensure Med/Trainer is on-site, Address any issues that arise with opposing team, Lock-up of field and press box after games. GM Football Amanda Ahearn The Cheer GM is responsible for all football & Operations related matters as they pertain to football coaching staff, practice facilities, game-day team operations and League contacts. Attend BOD meetings on a regular basis Provide recommendations to the Board for current season's registration and sign-ups Registrar Football & Cheer Maintain log of all transactions, money collected, etc. Any monies collected must be turned over promptly to the treasurer Work with Executive board to develop annual events calendar Work w/bod must determine roster size for each football and cheerleading squad. Ensure proper coordination of all operations on game day with GMs. Ensure football and cheerleader team rosters and monitor sheets are in place on game day. GM Cheer - Elizabeth Barr The Cheer GM is responsible for all cheerleading related matters as they pertain to cheerleading coaching staff, practice facilities, game-day team operations and League contacts. Attend BOD meetings on a regular basis. Secure and monitor cheer coaches, junior coaches. Regular attendance at practices and games of all squads; must be visible to parents and coaches alike. Order needed cheer uniforms and accessories with Board approval. Develop and implement an age appropriate structured practice regime Lead, organize and implement Mega Cheer within Ravens Org
Treasurer Shelly Herzog Reviews the finances of the organization Administrates fiscal matters of the organization Provides annual budget to the board for members' approval, and final budget report at the end of each fiscal year. Provide monthly financial snapshot as required at BOD meetings Ensures development and board review of financial policies and procedures Work with executive board to develop new volunteer commitment structure Attend BOD meetings on a regular basis Pay all bills on behalf of the organization. Signature authority for PYFCO checking account. Member of the Executive Board. Secretary Open Maintains records of the board and ensures effective management of organization's records. Schedule meeting rooms, prepare agendas and minutes for all regular meetings and special meetings held by the organization. Manages minutes of board meetings. Ensures minutes are distributed to members shortly after each meeting Attend BOD meetings on a regular basis. Main Contact to send communication/reminder emails to Ravens Families Will be responsible for contacting Board members prior to a scheduled meeting to verify place and time either in writing or by phone.
