Introduction NAF National Championships We are pleased once again to return to Lincolnshire Show Ground for the 2014 British Riding Clubs National Championships. Natural Animal Feeds (NAF) is very generously sponsoring this Championship and we are extremely grateful for their continued support. NAF will be bringing a trade stand, please do pay them a visit. Stabling Stabling is available onsite. Please see the instructions in your Championship invitation. Entries Please note entries close on Friday 15 August 2014. Times Times will be posted on the web site www.britishridingclubs.org.uk on or around 26 August. Times are selected randomly by computer and unfortunately cannot be altered. Presentations Presentations will take place approximately 30 minutes after the results for that class have been posted. Delays to the presentation will be as a result of objections or queries that will need to be resolved before it can go ahead. Attendance Teams and individuals placed 1 st 3 rd are required to attend the presentation mounted. Lower place rosettes and all prizes can be collected from the secretary s office 30 minutes after the results for that class have been posted. Trophies Trophies awarded at Championships must be signed for in the secretary s office by a nominated person who is then responsible for that trophy. Any loss/damage or failure to return the trophy by the specified date will result in the club concerned being responsible for the cost of a replacement. It will also prohibit that particular club from having custody of a trophy for the following two years. If you have a trophy from last year, this must be sent back to the office rather than taken with you to the Championships. Prizes NAF will be providing prizes in the form of vouchers for all competitors that are placed 1 st 3 rd. Please see the Programme, which will be available free of charge at the Championship for further information.
Secretary s, Declarations and Flu Vac Checking Flu Vac checking and competitor declarations will be located in the lorry park. Once you have received your number you are deemed to have declared. Your hat, if not tagged with a BLUE BRC hat tag, must also be brought down to the declarations tent. All other queries and officials/ team volunteers reporting for duty can be dealt with in the secretary s office, which will be located in the trade stand area. Individual Champion will receive silver salver, rosette and sash. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place in team and individual sections. NAF Magic Senior Open Dressage Championship Open to horses that have qualified at an Area Senior Open Dressage Qualifying Round. Prizes: Team Champions will receive The Inter Clubs Trophy, rosettes and sashes. Individual Champion will receive rosette and sash. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place in team and individual sections. The best overall individual in this Championship will receive the Isle of Wight Trophy, the winner being the rider with the highest percentage of marks gained in the competition over all arenas. NAF Magic Senior Prelim Dressage Championship Open to horses that have qualified at an Area Senior Prelim Dressage Qualifying Round. Prizes: Team Champions will receive a silver salver, rosettes and sashes. Individual arena winners will receive a rosette and sash. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place in team and in each arena. The best overall competitor in this Championship will receive a silver salver, the winner being the rider with the highest percentage of marks gained in the competition over all arenas. NAF Magic Senior Riding Test Championship Open to horses that have qualified at an Area Senior Riding Test Qualifying Round. Prizes: Team Champions will receive The John Nestles Trophy, rosettes and sashes. Individual Champion will receive silver salver, rosette and sash. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place in team and individual sections. NAF Magic Team of Six Team Dressage Championship Open to teams of six horses ridden by members of an affiliated Riding Club. Test to be ridden will be the Teams of Six dressage test. 92 per team
Prizes: Team champions will receive the Scaramanga Rural Riders Trophy, rosettes and sashes. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place inclusive of the test commander. NAF Magic Senior Medium Dressage Championship Open to all horses which have qualified at an Area Qualifying competition. 26 per individual Prizes: Champion will receive a silver salver, rosette and sash. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place. NAF Magic Senior Pairs Dressage Championship Open to horses that have qualified at an Area Senior Pairs Dressage Qualifying Round. 38 per pair Prizes: Champions will receive The Inderwick Shield, rosettes and sashes. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place. NAF Magic Senior Teams of Four Dressage Championship Direct entry; open to all members of an affiliated Riding Club. Test to be ridden will be the Teams of Four dressage test. 49 per team Prizes: Champions will receive a rosette and sash. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place. NAF Superflex Junior Intermediate Show Jumping Championships Open to horses that have qualified at an Area Junior Intermediate Show Jumping Qualifying Round. Prizes: Team Champions will receive The Radiol Trophy, rosettes and sashes. Individual Champion will receive a silver salver, rosette and sash. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place in team and individual sections. NAF Superflex Junior Style Jumping Championship Open to horses that have qualified at an Area Junior Style Jumping Qualifying Round. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place in team and individual sections. NAF Magic Junior Dressage Championship Open to horses that have qualified at an Area Junior Dressage Qualifying Round. Prizes: Team Champions will receive The Inderwick Trophy, rosettes and sashes. The best overall individual in this Championship will receive the Simpson Challenge Cup, rosette and sash. The winner being the rider with the highest percentage of marks gained in the competition over all arenas. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place in team and individual sections. NAF Magic Junior Riding Test Championship Open to horses that have qualified at an Area Junior Riding Test Qualifying Round. Prizes: Team Champions will receive The Area 3 Liaison Group Trophy, rosettes and sashes. Individual Champion will receive rosette, sash and a silver salver. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place in team and individual sections. NAF Magic Junior Pairs Dressage Championship Open to horses that have qualified at an Area Junior Pairs Dressage Qualifying Round. 38 per pair Prizes: Champions will receive The Riding Club Salver, rosettes and sashes. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place NAF Magic Junior Elementary Dressage Championship Open to all horses which have qualified at an Area Qualifying competition. 26 per individual Prizes: Champion will receive a silver salver, rosette and sash. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place. NAF Magic Junior Teams of Four Dressage Championship Direct entry open to all riding club members affiliated to BRC 49 per team Prizes: Champions will receive a rosette and sash. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place.
Official Objections Protests or complaints may be lodged in writing and accompanied by a deposit of 20. They must be addressed to the Championship Director via the Secretary s. Protests must be made no later than 30 minutes after the incident that gave rise to that protest or 30 minutes after the results have been published. The deposit will be forfeited unless the protest is upheld or it was decided that there were good and reasonable grounds for lodging the protest. Parking All BRC competitors will be limited to parking within the designated parking. Any vehicles that are parked in prohibited areas will be asked to move. Camping If you wish to camp, this will be permitted in the lorry park. Please note that this area will not have overhead lighting or showers. Catering There will be catering trade stands open until late each evening with a variety of hot and cold food on the menu. Medical Care Paramedics will be on site during the competition hours of the Championships. There will be a designated first aid point located near the trade stands. Please contact an official with a radio in an emergency. Outside of these hours, in an emergency please dial 999. Vet and Farrier We do have a vet and farrier on site for this event. Please inform any official or BRC member of staff with a radio if needed. Horse Ambulance A horse ambulance will be present on site during the competition hours of the weekend.
