COMPETITION SYSTEM Single elimination QUALIFICATION: According to the article 4 of the WTF Competition Rules: Qualification of the participants will be according to the latest competition rules of the WTF and PATU. The technical committee chairman will review the eligibility of all participants entered on the system. INTERNATIONAL REFEREES AND MEMBERS OF THE SUPERVISORY BOARD OF COMPETITION i. PATU shall appoint the required number of international referees and members of the Supervisory Board of the Competition. ii. There will be five (5) CBS(Competition Supervisory Board) members to be appointed by PATU. The total number of CSB shall be five (5) including the president who will be the WTF International delegate as specified in the rules of Competition and Arbitration of the WTF. iii. The round flight ticket will be purchased by each CSB member and International Referee. iv. The Organizing Committee will accommodate and provide meals for the CSB members and International Referees from September 0th to 5th, 204. v. The Organizing Committee will pay for each international referee and CSB member a per diem fee of $ 00 for the three days of the event WTF TECHNICAL DELEGATES AND PATU TECHNI- CAL OFFICIALS WTF will appoint a Technical Delegate according to WTF rules and regulations. The WTF International Delegate will be the president of CSB. PATU will appoint the required number of PATU Technical Officials, who will be responsible for managing everything related to the Pan American Taekwondo Championships. The Organizing Committee will provide the flight tickets, accommodation and meals for the WTF International Technical Delegate and PATU Officials up to 5 nights stay (from September 0th to 5th) WTF APPROVED UNIFORM (DOBOK) AND PROTECTIVE GEAR i. Competitors will be required to wear WTF/PATU approved Dobok and protective gear. ii. The organizing committee will provide electronic body protectors. Participants must wear groin protectors, mouth guards, gloves, shin guards, arm guards, head protectors and foot protectors for personal use. iii. Before entering the field of play, all competitors must go through an inspection of their Dobok and protective gear by tournament officials. Any competitor who does not have an approved Dobok or protective gear won t be allowed to compete. Competitors who are at the inspection desk with electronic foot sensor socks that are not approved or modified will be immediately disqualified based on WTF Competition Rules. OFFICIAL SCORING SYSTEM KP&P Electronic Protectors and Scoring system will be used for the Pan American Taekwondo Championship to promote the spirit of Fair Play in the competition. Besides the KP&P System, a WTF-recognized video replay system, will be used to ensure fair and impartial judgment. All referees will have a prior training for the usage of this system. ANTI DOPING CONTROL PATU along with the Organizing Committee will conduct doping tests as required by the WTF, following the WADA program WEIGH-IN i.official weigh-in will be held for all categories one day prior to the competition according to the WTF Competition Rules. The weigh-in for the st day of competition will take place on September th. ii.competitors must wear their underwear or may choose to weigh-in in nude. TECHNICAL MEETING AND OFFICIAL DRAW i. The official competition draw will take place during the technical meeting scheduled one day prior to competition. Only registered delegates and coaches of participating teams will be allowed to attend this meeting. The draw will be made automatically by using PATU Official Competition Management System. Once the draw is complete, it cannot be revised or changed. ii. The official draw will be done for teams that are not present at the Technical Meeting, and PATU will inform the results to the teams that are absent at the time of official draw. LIABILITIES. All General and Medical liabilities shall be the responsibility of participating National Federations. All participants must submit signed liability waiver form along with official entry forms; thus releasing WTF, PATU, the organizers, technical officials and other participants from any claim for injuries, losses and fatalities or other kind resulting from participation in this tournament or any of its activities. 2. All participating national federations must be responsible for their members, officials and athletes to be covered with insurance protection. 3. Participants who did not submit official entry forms, liability waiver forms and without valid insurance protection will not be allowed to compete in this championship. 4. The organizing committee will be responsible for providing basic medical attention during the competition. NATIONAL ANTHEM AND FLAG It is the responsibility of each national team to bring the following:. Two (2) National Flags. a) The size of the national flags should be 90 cm. x 30 cm. 2. Two (2) CDs with the national anthem GROUND TRANSPORTATION The Organizing Committee can provide ground transportation from the Aguascalientes International Airport to the official tournament hotels with a fee cost of $0 USD per person. For further information please refer to the accommodation and transport guide. Transportation from any other airport will have to be individually arranged by the participating team. The Organizing Committee will provide ground transportation from official tournament hotels to the Olympic Stadium on an established schedule. The local organizing committee will not provide transportations from any other hotels. VISAS All participants are responsible for their own visas to Mexico.
