8 FOREWORD Vision Marine Construction is registered and situated in the State of Qatar and is the sister company of Vision Development Company (Bahrain Grade A General Contracting, (Civil and Building) Marine Contracting, Dredging and Reclamation). Both the aforementioned companies receive management and commercial support from Vision Holding company. The owners of Vision commenced business in dredging reclamation and marine construction, the first significant project in Bahrain was for the dredging, reclamation and marine construction work in ASRY(Arab Ship Repairing Yard) basin and other associated marine construction works. Vision has continually expanded and accomplished international quality recognition of ISO 9001 and ISI certificates whilst developing and maintaining quality combined with efficient and cost effective performance in each and every project completed.

21 ZUWARA PORT MAINTENANCE AND DEVELOPMENT The project shall include the Port functional design and the detailed design and construction of the following: Maritime works: u u u Maintenance of 539m existing breakwater, and development of it: reconstruction of the berm at the foot of the work, reconstruction of the cover protection layer with rocks up to 5 tons, construction of the new protection wall on the breakwater Dredging of the existing harbour basin with depth up to 7.60 meters under medium sea level, creation of the new turning basin and approach channel Reclamation and filling of the apron and container yard area Harbour works: u u Construction of the new commercial quay for a lenght of 485m. Work will be composed by a main sheet pile wall connected to an anchor wall by tie rods. The new quay will be suitable for ship with length over all of 100 m, beam of 18.2 m, draft of 6.6m and DWT of 5500 ton Construction of new navigation aids

The quality assurance manager burdens the responsibility of checking and auditing the work performed at every project site, making sure that it is carried out in compliance with the quality standard manual. Undertaking electro-mechanical maintenance projects maintain Vision in constant touch with the market thus strengthening our position due to the nature and duration of these projects. Marina maintenance is the jewel on the crown of our maintenance services. At present, Vision is a preferred maintenance contractor in many areas of the GCC.

47 Pipeline inspections and maintenance Vision offers in-line inspection services for both onshore and offshore pipelines. Various inspection techniques are applied on-board intelligent pigs, which measure different integrity parameters while being pumped through the pipeline together with the product. Pipelines are inspected for metal loss (eg. internal and external corrosion), mechanical deformations and other features without interrupting the flow process. 51 Major ProjECTS ManAGED Khalifa Bin Salman Port Project In February 2002 our team managed the diving works on the Khalifa Bin Salman Port Project, the biggest project of its kind in Bahrain. Over a three years period six highly qualified teams were involved in the construction of the six-kilometer breakwater and the two-kilometer Quay wall at depths ranging between 6 and 18 meters. Three teams working on the breakwater were involved with lying of Geo Textile, setting of profiles and armor placement. One team was responsible for the leveling of the sea bed in preparation for the laying of 160 ton prefabricated concrete blocks. The team works in zero visibility conditions to operate a specialized Hydraulic stone spreader on the ocean floor. The fifth and sixth teams were responsible for the laying of the concrete blocks. The divers were used to guide surface cranes in lowering of the blocks onto the prepared stone bed using surface supplied air and communications. In 2004 Vision started contract with Arab Ship build Repair Yard Co. for dreadging & reclamation of ASRY basin deepening of the channel upto -16cd with reclamation, shore protection and Diving. ASRY Slipway project In 2006 Vision Co team to designed, and built a 2 million m3 cofferdam, for the biggest such project in the middle east.
