Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct As a parent of MASL I agree to the following code of conduct: I will treat all players, coaches, umpires, and spectators with respect. I will never talk down to a player, umpire, or coach. I will not use profanity especially directed at a player, umpire or coach. I will promote the positive aspects of the game and encourage good sportsmanship at all times, assuring that my daughter adheres to the rules of the game and the league. I understand that my daughter is playing the game to learn the game and grow as an individual. Softball is a game and we require that she have fun. I will help to monitor the behavior of spectators and other players and report any problems to the board or police as needed. I will have a ZERO TOLERANCEpolicy for disruptive behavior and disrespect during all games with anyone in the facility. I will be supportive of my daughter, her coach, and the rules of the league. I understand that if my daughter disobeys the rules, disciplinary action may be taken such as being taken out of the game, suspension, or expulsion from the season as the coach and board sees fit. I will not engage open arguments with coaches or umpires, any disagreements should be taken aside and calmly discussed at a time set forth by the coach. I understand that I am not permitted on the field, in the dugout, or any other active playing area unless cleared by the coaches and have presented my two clearances to the league. I will remain in the designated spectator areas. I will refrain from coaching my daughter or other players during games or practices, unless I am one of the official coaches of the team. I will never threaten anyone physically or verbally, especially a child. I understand that alcohol, drug, and tobacco use is prohibited at any game, practice, or team function. I will remember that I am a role model for my daughter as well as others. I am expected to participate in activities to support the league such as fundraisers and concession stand duty. I understand that all registrations and fees must be paid before my daughter is allowed to participate. I understand that my daughter will be required to stay a few minutes after each game and practice for clean up. MASL would like to thank you for allowing your daughter to be a part of the league and hope that we can all work together to have a fun, safe and successful season! If you have any questions or problems at any time you should feel free to talk to your coach first, then if further satisfaction is required contact a member of the board.

Player Code of Conduct As a player of MASL I agree to the following code of conduct: I will respect my teammates, coaches, parents, spectators, umpires and myself and will treat all with good sportsmanship and respect. I will strive to be the best I can be and always give my best effort both on and off the field. I will remember that I am part of a team and I cannot play this sport on my own. I will conduct myself in an appropriate manner and try not to bring any disgrace or danger to my teammates, coaches, parents, spectators, umpires and myself. I not only represent my team and my league but my district, my family and myself. I will demonstrate the highest level of sportsmanship, and understand that winning is desirable but is not the sole reason I play the game. I will demonstrate good sportsmanship in losing as well as winning. I will respect the grounds and facilities where the games are played, and I will treat things with respect and report any misuse or abuse. I will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any umpire, coach, player, or opponent such as booing and taunting, refusing to shake hands, or using profane language or gestures. I will never use tobacco, drugs, and alcohol, as I know they can ruin my future in sports and in life. I am expected to participate in activities such as fundraisers to support my league. I am expected to come prepared with my equipment to practice and games. I will wear my uniform at each game along with designated socks and visors. I am expected to keep the playing areas clean, including picking up the dugout area at each game and practice. I will listen to my coaches with respect and obey what they are instructing me to do. I understand and agree to the rules above; I understand that failure to comply with the rules means that I will have disciplinary action taken against me up to and/or including suspension or expulsion from the league.
