Conclusions Wind speed dependency of wind urbine failure rae seems o exis Higher wind speeds more failures lower availabiliy (ime based) Large amoun of small failures wih shor downimes These minor failures have a small impac on he whole annual downime, which is dominaed by major failures Major failures wih downimes of several days show a low effec of wind speed dependan failure rae on he availabiliy (energy based) overall availabiliy (energy based) is no srongly affeced by wind speed dependen failures Wih differen wind urbine performance and improved reliabiliy (less small failures) he imporance of considering energy based availabiliy as performance indicaor rises
