KINGS CHANGE TEAM COLORS, INTRODUCE NEW ROAD JERSEY FOR 2011-12 SEASON Beginning this season the Kings will officially make the following changes as it pertains to team colors and uniforms: -- The Kings official team colors will change to black, silver and white. -- The Kings primary home uniform will switch to the black-silver-and-white uniform the club has worn as an alternate jersey the last two seasons. -- The Kings will wear a newly-created white version of this jersey for all road games this season.

The Kings primary home jersey -- which prominently features LA on the jersey crest, has not been altered and will now be worn for most Kings home games also reflects the club s primary logo going forward. As part of the switch, the Kings former primary mark, a Crown featuring the color purple, now becomes the club s alternate logo with one change the Crown is now black and silver and features no purple. Additionally the official colors of the Kings no longer feature the color purple, though purple will still be featured in what is now the alternate sweater. Purple will also be visible this season with the Kings vintage jerseys for three games as part of their Kings Legends Series. KINGS PROJECT RECORD-SETTING TICKET SALES ONCE AGAIN IN 2011-12 The Kings closed the 2010-11 season with 18 consecutive sellouts at STAPLES Center and that momentum is expected to carry into the 2011-12 season as the Kings who advanced to the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time in a decade approach their highly anticipated 45 season as a franchise. Last season the Kings sold out STAPLES Center 38 times overall 35 times during the regular season and three times during the postseason in what was a record-setting year at the Box Office. The 35 regular season sellouts were the most in STAPLES Center history (1999-present) and the most sellouts overall for the team since the 1991-92 season (40 sellouts that year). In addition, the Kings regular season average attendance of 18,083 last year was the highest in team history, surpassing the previous high mark of 17,857 established during the 2003-04 season. KINGS TO HONOR NICHOLLS, EVANS AND SIMMER AS LEGENDS NIGHTS RETURN The Kings will honor three more great players from the past this season as the Legends Night series returns to STAPLES Center. The players scheduled to be honored include Bernie Nicholls on Dec.10 vs. Dallas; Daryl Evans on Jan. 2 vs. Colorado; and Charlie Simmer on Feb.18 vs. Calgary. As part of each Legends Night, the Kings will take the ice in vintage purple and gold sweaters and each Legend will be honored in a special pre-game ceremony at center ice.
