Warranty Information The DR DRAG HARROW is warranted for two (2) years against defects in materials or workmanship when put to ordinary and normal consumer use; ninety (90) days for any other use. For the purposes of all the above warranties, ordinary and normal consumer use refers to non-commercial residential use and does not include misuse, accidents or damage due to inadequate maintenance. DR Power Equipment certifies that the DR DRAG HARROW is fit for ordinary purposes for which a product of this type is used. DR Power Equipment however, limits the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness in duration to a period of two (2) years in consumer use, ninety (90) days for any other use. The 2-Year Limited Warranty on the DR DRAG HARROW starts on the date the machine ships from our factory. The 2-Year Limited Warranty is applicable only to the original owner. During the warranty period, the warranty holder is responsible for the machine transportation charges, if required. During the warranty period, warranty parts will be shipped by standard method at no charge to the warranty holder. Expedited shipping of warranty parts is the responsibility of the warranty holder. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON THE LENGTH OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. Chapter 1: General Safety Rules Read this safety & operating Instructions manual before you use the DR DRAG HARROW. Become familiar with the operation and service recommendations to ensure the best performance from your machine. Operating the DR DRAG HARROW Safely You must operate the Drag Harrow safely. Unsafe operation can create a number of hazards for you. Always take the following precautions when using this Drag Harrow: Read, understand, and follow all instructions in this manual. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and the proper use of your Drag Harrow before using. Thoroughly inspect the area where your Drag Harrow will be used, and remove all wire, pet supplies, or lawn toys, and any other foreign objects that you could run over. Also, note the location of stumps, and other possible hazards that you should avoid during operation. Watch for traffic when operating near roadways. Pay extra attention when operating near public roadways. Be aware of your surroundings when operating the DR Drag Harrow, e.g. ditches, culverts, drop-offs, and hills. Never allow people who are unfamiliar with these instructions to use the DR Drag Harrow. To be safe, do not operate the Drag Harrow near small children or pets, and never allow children to operate the Drag Harrow. Stop the operation when another person or pet approaches. Do not turn too sharply when pulling the Drag Harrow. Turning too sharply can cause the pull vehicle tires to contact the Drag Harrow. If you have to stop to remove any debris from the Drag Harrow, always shut off the tow vehicle s engine and set the parking brake. Do not, under any conditions, remove, bend, cut, fit, weld, or otherwise alter standard parts on the DR Drag Harrow. Modifications to your machine could cause personal injuries and will void your warranty. While using the DR Drag Harrow, don't hurry or take things for granted. Do not operate the Drag Harrow when under the influence of alcohol or medication. Use the DR Drag Harrow only in daylight or good artificial light. The DR Drag Harrow must be operated safely to prevent or minimize the risk of minor or moderate injury. Unsafe operation can create a number of hazards for you. Always take the following precautions when operating this Drag Harrow: Keep in mind that the operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other people, their property, and themselves. Do not use the DR Drag Harrow to drag, tow, or carry items. Never operate the DR Drag Harrow with a truck (2wd or 4wd); doing so will void the DR Drag Harrow warranty. Never leave the DR Drag Harrow unattended. If you leave the area, shut off the tow vehicle, and remove the key. Keep all nuts and bolts tight and keep the equipment and attachments in good operating condition. Use only manufacturer-recommended replacement parts. Protecting Yourself and Those Around You Always take the following precautions when operating this Drag Harrow: Always wear protective goggles or safety glasses with side shields while operating to protect your eyes from possible thrown bits of dirt or gravel. Wear shoes with non-slip treads when using your DR Drag Harrow. If you have safety shoes, we recommend wearing them. Do not use the Drag Harrow while barefoot or wearing open sandals. Wear a helmet when operating an ATV. Safety for Children and Pets Tragic accidents can occur if the operator is not alert to the presence of children and pets. Never assume that children or pets will remain where you last saw them. Keep children out of the working area and under the watchful care of a responsible adult. Be alert, stop and turn the tow vehicle off if children or pets enter the work area. Never allow children to operate the DR Drag Harrow. Never allow children or pets to ride on the tow vehicle or the DR Drag Harrow. Chapter 2: Setting Up the DR DRAG HARROW It may be helpful to familiarize yourself with the features of your DR DRAG HARROW as shown in Figure 1 before beginning these procedures. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us at www.drpower.com. DR DRAG HARROW Parts and Features Chain Section 2 Chain Section 1 Tow Bar Connecting Rod Tow Chain and Ring Assembling the DR Drag Harrow Supplies Needed: Gloves Figure 1 Chain Section 2 Chain Section 1 Tow Bar Connecting Rod Note: Chain Section 1 has a set of hooks on one end and Chain Section 2 has a set of hooks on both ends. See Figure 2. 1. Position the Tow Bar Connecting Rod, Chain Section 1 and Chain Section 2 on a Flat Surface. Ensure that the Tines on both Chain Sections are all facing down and forward (Figure 2). 2. Attach the first Chain Section to the Tow Bar Connecting Rod by connecting the Hooks of the Chain Section to the Loops on the Connecting Rod. 3. Attach Chain Section 2 to Chain Section 1 by connecting the Hooks of Chain Section 2 to the end loops of Chain Section 1 (Figure 3). Chapter 3: Operating and Maintaining the DR DRAG HARROW It may be helpful to better familiarize yourself with the features of your Drag Harrow by reviewing Figure 1 in Chapter 2 before beginning the steps outlined in this chapter. Operating Safety Never allow anyone to operate the DR Drag Harrow without first reading and understanding all instructions in this manual. Be thoroughly familiar with the proper use of your Drag Harrow before using. Never let people ride on the Drag Harrow. Always check for objects in the Drag Harrow s path before moving. Rear Connecting Hooks Figure 4 Less Aggressive Tow Direction Tines Aggressive Tow Direction Operating Parameters The DR Drag Harrow can be used with a Garden Tractor/Lawn Tractor, ATV, UTV, or Utility Tractor that is equipped with a Ball Hitch. NEVER operate the DR DRAG HARROW with a Car or Truck (2WD or 4WD). Use of these vehicles can be hazardous and will void the DR DRAG HARROW Warranty. Operating Positions The Drag Harrow can operate in two positions. When the Drag Harrow is towed with the Tines facing forward and down, it will work to penetrate the ground to aerate the soil, remove weeds and prepare seedbeds. When towed in the opposite direction, the Drag Harrow will perform as a drag mat; coverings seeds, smoothing ground etc. To change tow directions, detach the Tow Bar from the Front Connecting Hooks and reattach it on the opposite end of the Drag Harrow using the Rear Connecting Hooks (Figure 4). Do not exceed 5MPH when using the DR Drag Harrow. Attaching the DR Drag Harrow to the Tow Vehicle Figure 5 Chain Ring Maintenance Guidelines Tow Ball 1. Stop the Tow Vehicle Engine and set the Parking Brake. 2. Lift the Tow Chain Ring and position it over the Hitch Ball on the Tow Vehicle (Figure 5). Before performing any maintenance, you must first shut off the tow vehicle, remove the key and set the parking brake. Regular maintenance is the way to ensure the best performance and long life of your machine. Please refer to this Chapter for maintenance intervals and procedures. Do not modify the drag harrow in any way. Unauthorized modification may impair the function and/or safety and could affect the life of the equipment. There are specific applications for which the drag harrow was designed. Always check for damaged or worn out parts before using the drag harrow. Broken parts will affect the drag harrow operation. Replace or repair damaged or worn parts immediately. Store idle drag harrow. When the drag harrow is not in use, store it in a secure place out of the reach of children. Inspect it for good working condition prior to storage and before re-use. 6 DR DRAG HARROW

Daily Checklist for the DR DRAG HARROW To help maintain your DR DRAG HARROW for optimum performance, we recommend you follow this checklist each time you use your DRAG HARROW Before performing any maintenance, you must first shut off the tow vehicle, remove the key and set the parking brake. [ ] HARDWARE: Check all nuts and bolts to be sure that the components are secure. [ ] FRAME: Check all welds to be sure that the frame is intact and secure. [ ] CLEAN: Make sure the Packer Wheels and the Frame are clean and free of debris. End of Season and Storage Before performing any maintenance, you must first shut off the tow vehicle, remove the key and set the parking brake. Hose down the DR DRAG HARROW to clean it of debris. Wipe down the DR DRAG HARROW to remove any moisture and dirt that may have accumulated. If possible, store the Drag Harrow in a dry, protected place.
