Tremblant s 24h of Cycling 2 nd edition September 9 th to 11 th The region of Tremblant will host for a second year, the 2nd edition of Tremblant's 24h of cycling. Back by popular demand, and the great success achieved by our 1 st edition, which raised 235 681$. The goal this year is once again to reunite cycling fanatics in a unique concept to support sick children and those in need. Tremblant s 24h of Cycling, Take part in the 2 nd edition of this event that will unite cycling enthusiasts and humanitarians together in a unique fundraiser. Tremblant s 24h of cycling will allow participants to ride for 24 consecutive hours in complete security, in an international course style. The amazing panoramic views of the Tremblant region await you! Join Lance Armstrong in his battle against cancer. Lance Armstrong, 7 times Tour de France champion, and the world s foremost cancer advocate, is returning to Tremblant for a fourth year. Two events, one cause. Gather a team of 6 to 12 cyclists and get involved in Tremblant s 24h of Cycling www.tremblant.ca/24h-velo/index-e.htm Ride solo and register with Cedars Tour de Lance for an exclusive 100km ride alongside Lance Armstrong. www.tourdelance.ca Description of Tremblant s 24h of Cycling Two categories, one challenge. Participation This category is open to the general public, for individuals who love cycling and want to have fun while contributing to a great cause. Team members will relay on the Circuit Mont-Tremblant for 24 consecutive hours in a fun and secure environment. This category is open to: Individuals 12 years or older Categories Open Recreational cyclists who cycle on a regular basis Women Sporty and active individuals with an average speed +/- 20km/hr Junior (12-17 years old) Performance This category is open to cycling enthusiasts who love to compete and perform during 24 hours. Participants will relay to accumulate the maximum number of laps possible This category is open to: Individuals 16 years or older Categories Open Experienced cyclists, advanced level Women +/- 2000km of cycling per season Members of clubs, cycling associations, racers Cyclists experienced in riding in a drafting formation with an average speed of + / - 27 km/h New this year: Same course during the day and at nigth: the addition of lighting throughout the entire route, at night, (vs. only half the course last year) will most definitely make it easier for the participants by spacing out climbs Captain may not pay for the entire team at the time of registration, each participant is responsable for its registration fees participants package will include a team tent in the transition zone Each team will have a reserved space of 20x20, in the participant zone, in order to install its own general quarter (tent, BBQ, etc.)
