The meet gets underway at 6 p.m. (CT) at the Cadet West Gymnasium. This year s conference race looks to be strong once again for the top-ranked Sooners with No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 California, No. 8 Air Force, and No. 11 Nebraska all looking to deny OU s chances to win its 19 conference championship. Last season, the Sooners claimed their 10th conference title in the last 12 years. OU also notched its 31st and 32nd individual conference titles under head coach Mark Williams, as Steven Legendre (floor) and Ian Jackson (vault) won MPSF titles. OU recently beat Penn State and Illinois on March 19 to finish the regular season with an 12-0 mark with five victories against top-five opponents. Oklahoma finished the regular season undefeated for the fourth time under Williams. The Sooners have finished the regular season undefeated four times in the past seven years (2011, 2009, 2006, 2004). Practices are typically open to media. However, those who wish to attend must obtain clearance through Matt Wilson in the Athletics Communications Office prior to the start of practice. Practice generally runs from 1:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The best time to conduct interviews is immediately following practice. CREDENTIAL REQUESTS Media credentials for home contests at the McCasland Field House should be requested no later than one day prior to the event. POST-MEET INFORMATION Post-meet interviews will take place on the main floor of the McCasland Field House after head coach Mark Williams dismisses his athletes. Official score sheets will be available at the scorer s table. MEDIA INTERVIEWS Non-postmeet interview requests for athletes and coaches must be arranged through Matt Wilson in the Athletics Communications Office. A LOOK BACK AT SOONERS LAST COMPETITION The Sooners (12-0 overall, 5-0 MPSF) posted the highest score in the NCAA this season (366.400) en route to its victory over the Nittany Lions (356.750) and the Fighting Illini (359.100) on March 19. Oklahoma finished the regular season undefeated for the fourth time under Williams. The Sooners have finished the regular season undefeated four times in the past seven years (2011, 2009, 2006, 2004). Oklahoma posted top scores on four of the six event titles with team highs on floor (62.850), vault (64.900), parallel bars (59.150) and high bar (59.300). Highlighting the meet was Jacob Dalton, who tied an individual program record on vault with a 16.700, previously held by senior Steven Legendre. The U.S. Senior National Team consists of the top gymnasts from around the country that represent the United States on an international level. Average the three remaining scores.) April 7: Ranking by National Qualifying Average CONFERENCE DOMINANCE The MPSF Conference has consistently been the top-ranked conference in the NCAA the past 10 years. Oklahoma and Stanford are currently dominating the polls being ranked in the top three in four out of six events. ATOP OF THE TEAM RANKINGS OU currently holds the top ranking on floor (60.912), pommel horse (58.387) and vault (63.862 ) in the latest GymInfo poll. The team is also ranked third on rings (59.575) and on parallel bars (58.262). MR. ALL-AROUND Senior Steven Legendre is currently the top ranked gymnast in the country with an allaround score of 89.525. This marks the eighth consecutive week that Legendre has been a top the all-around standings. The Port Jefferson, N.Y., native is also ranked first on two apparatuses with average scores of 15.787 on floor and 16.200 on vault. PARALLEL LEADER For the fourth week, Dalton is the top ranked gymnast on parallel bars with an average score of 15.262. Dalton s high score on parallel bars (15.400) came at the Stanford Open on Feb. 19. GOING TO NO. 1 The Sooners are currently the top ranked team in the nation with a average score of 359.175. This week s rankings are based on the National Qualifying Average used to set the seeds for the NCAA Championships. OU vaulted to No. 1 ranking after topping then-no. 4 Illinois and No. 5 Penn State last weekend. The win was the Sooners fifth win over a top five opponent this season. This week s rankings mark the second time this season that OU has held the top spot. The Sooners began the year ranked No. 3 in the preseason but was atop the list for five weeks.

Jan. 23 -- Jacob Dalton Feb. 6 -- Jacob Dalton Feb. 13 -- Steven Legendre March 6 -- Steven Legendre March 13 -- Steven Legendre HORTON, DALTON TAKE OVER 2011 AMERICAN CUP Former OU All-American Jonathan Horton won the 2011 AT&T American Cup all-around title with a score of 90.198 on March 5. This is Horton s third American Cup victory, previously winning the competition in 2006 and 2007. OU sophomore Jacob Dalton, who won the 2011 Winter Cup Challenge, joined Horton on the podium finishing third in the competition with an all-around score of 88.497. The Reno, Nev., native also finished first on floor (15.766) and tied for first on parallel bars (15.066). This was Dalton s first Tyson American Cup competition. DALTON, SOONERS DOMINATE 2011 WINTER CUP OU sophomore Jacob Dalton won the 2011 Winter Cup all-around title and regained his position on the U.S. Senior National Team on Feb. 5. Overall, one third of the national team will remain from the University of Oklahoma men s program. Dalton is the second straight Sooner to win the all-around at the Winter Cup. In 2010, current OU graduate assistant coach Chris Brooks claimed the crown. Joining Dalton on the U.S. National Team are Brooks, sophomore Alex Naddour, senior Steven Legendre and Olympic silver medalist Jonathan Horton. The four Sooners showcased their talents in the sport Saturday night at the Winter Cup Challenge in Las Vegas, Nev., as three of the four current Sooners sent to the event were selected to the national team following strong performances. Dalton and Naddour were the latest to be named to the team, while Brooks, Horton and Legendre automatically retain their spots on the national team as members of the 2010 World Championships Team. BRINGING IN MORE TALENT For the 2011 season head coach Mark Williams signed Presten Ellsworth as a part of the 2010 signing class. Presten Ellsworth Hometown: Allen, Texas High School: Allen Club: WOGA A native of Allen, Texas, Ellsworth was a member of the USA Junior National Team for the 2005-06 season and is coached by Sergei Pakanich, at WOGA Gymnastics. In 2009, Ellsworth competed at the Men s Junior Olympic National Championships where he finished third on floor and 11th in the all-around and also competed at the Visa Championships. In 2008, he also competed in Men s Junior Olympic National Championships and Visa Championships finishing seventh all-around in both events. LEADING THE 2010 SOONERS Seniors Ian Jackson and Steven Legendre were named co-captains for the 2011 season by head coach Mark Williams. Both were a part of the Sooners 2008 National Championship squad and have received national honors for their effort.

2 0 1 1 E v e n t R e c a p s 6 ROCKY MOUNTAIN OPEN JAN. 15, 2011 OU, (W): (346.500-334.500) Sophomore Jacob Dalton claimed the fourth all-around title of his career with a score of 88.500, as the No. 3 Oklahoma men s gymnastics team won its 12th straight Rock Mountain Open title, Saturday, Jan. 15. OU (346.500) opened the 2011 season with wins over No. 9 Nebraska (334.500), No. 13 Air Force (327.300) and Arizona State (311.600). A team comprised of athletes from the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs scored a 350.750 but was ineligible for awards in the collegiate division. The meet was highlighted by two Sooners that posted RMO record highs with Legendre s 16.400 on vault and Dalton s 15.100 on parallel bars. Two different Sooners took home three of the six individual event titles, with Legendre claiming vault (16.400) and sophomore Jacob Dalton claiming floor (15.700) parallel bars (15.100). This continues OU s streak of claiming at least half of the event titles since 2002. OHIO STATE JAN. 22, 2011 OU, (W): (358.350-340.350) The fourth-ranked Oklahoma men s gymnastics team easily defeated No. 8 Ohio State in Saturday s Cleveland Elementary Night in front of 1,065 fans at the McCasland Field House. The Sooners (4-0 overall, 2-0 MPSF) posted their highest score of the season (358.350) and improved to 4-0 with the victory over the Buckeyes (340.350). OU has won three straight regular-season meets against Ohio State dating back to 2007. OU claimed all six team event titles for the first time this season with wins on floor (61.850), pommel horse (57.550), rings (60.250), vault (63.750), parallel bars (56.400) and high bar (58.550). Leading the Sooners was sophomore Jacob Dalton claiming a program record on Saturday with a vault score of 16.550. The record was previously held by Legendre (16.500). The sophomore also posted the night s top all-around score (90.750) and highest tally on parallel bars with a 15.350. Fellow U.S. National Team member, senior Steven Legendre was the second Sooner to claim a program record on floor after he broke his own school record with a 16.250. MINNESOTA JAN. 29, 2011 OU, (W): (344.650-336.750) A season-best 1,098 fans watched OU (5-0 overall, 2-0 MPSF) post a 344.650 en route to the victory over the Gophers (336.750) and Team Texas (293.400). Sophomore Alex Naddour claimed his first all-around of the season with a score of 83.250. The Sooners posted top scores on five of the six individual events with three different gymnasts winning titles. Sophomore Jacob Dalton won three events on floor (15.050), vault (16.550) and high bar (14.450). For the second straight week, Dalton tied the program record on vault with a score of 16.550. The U.S. Senior National Team member previously recorded OU s top score last week against then-no. 8 Ohio State. Sophomore Chris Stehl claimed his first career individual title on parallel bars with a 14.050, while redshirt sophomore Troy Nitzky finished with the night s top score on rings (15.350). @ NEBRASKA FEB. 13, 2011 OU, (W): (360.600-349.700) The fourth-ranked Oklahoma men s gymnastics team remained undefeated against No. 9 Nebraska and No. 13 Illinois Chicago on Sunday, Feb. 13. The Sooners (6-0 overall, 3-0 MPSF) posted its highest team total of the season (360.600) en route to their victory over the Huskers (349.700) and Flames (332.500). The Sooners recorded season highs on pommel horse, high bar, parallel bars and vault while sophomore Steven Legendre won his first all-around of the season with a score of 92.200. Legendre, a six-time NCAA National Champion, also claimed three individual event titles on floor (16.200), high bar (15.000) and with a program-record 16.700 on vault. The record was previously held by sophomore Jacob Dalton (16.550), set earlier this year on Jan. 29. In addition, Oklahoma swept each of the individual events for the first time this year with four different gymnasts claiming titles. Legendre led the Sooners with three event victories (floor, vault and high bar), senior Ian Jackson tied for first on rings (15.200), sophomore Alex Naddour claimed the pommel horse (15.400) and sophomore Jacob Dalton won on parallel bars (15.100). @ STANFORD FEB. 19, 2011 OU, (W): (357.500-352.000) OU ending the night with a team score of 357.500 to the Cardinal s 352.000, while the Golden Bears placed third with a 351.700 team tally. The Sooners are now 2-0 against opponents ranked in the top-five this season. Leading the Sooners was sophomore Jacob Dalton, finishing second in the all-around with a score of 88.200. The U. S. National Team member took home individual event titles on floor and parallel bars with career high scores of 15.400 and 16.200, respectively. Dalton shared the floor individual event title with Senior Steven Legendre, both scoring 16.200. Legendre, a six-time NCAA national Champion claimed his 62 title of his career. Oklahoma claimed two of the six team event titles on the day with wins on floor (62.100) and parallel bars (59.000). The Sooners scored their highest scores of the season on floor and pommel. Naddour and Legendre posted scores of 87.200 and 87.900, respectively, to finish third and fourth in the all-around competition. CAL MARCH 5, 2011 OU, (W): (360.850-357.750) The top-ranked Oklahoma men s gymnastics team remained undefeated in 2011 on Saturday after defeating No. 4 California at the McCasland Field House. OU claimed the victory without the services of sophomore Jacob Dalton, due to his selection to the list of competitors at the 2011 American Cup. OU (9-0 overall, 6-0 MPSF) posted its highest score of the season (360.850) and improved to 9-0 with the victory over the Cal (357.750). The Sooners are now 3-0 against top-five opponents this season with their second straight victory over the Golden Bears. OU claimed four of the six team events on floor (60.450), pommel horse (59.250), rings (60.650) and high bar (59.800). It marks the fourth meet the Sooners have claimed at least four of the six team event titles. Three Sooners claimed four individual titles on the night with Steven Legendre posting the top score on floor and high bar, Alex Naddour on pommel horse, Ian Jackson tying for the title on vault. Leading the Sooners was senior Steven Legendre winning his fourth floor title of the season and 28 of his career with a score of 15.950. The Port Jefferson, N.Y., native also claimed his second all-around title of the season with a score of 90.400, while posting career high score on pommel horse (14.950) and high bar (15.650). The Sooners were also helped by scores from Alex Naddour on pommel horse (15.750) and high bar (15.300), Chris Stehl on rings (15.500) and Jeremy Adams on parallel bars (14.500). Oklahoma posted its highest scores of the season on pommel horse, rings and high bar. @ MICHIGAN MARCH 12, 2011 OU, (W): (357.750-355.400) Senior Steven Legendre claimed the all-around with a score of 89.250, as the second-ranked Oklahoma men s gymnastics team defeated sixth-ranked Michigan on Saturday. OU moves to 10-0 on the season, as the Sooners scored a 357.750 to beat the defending NCAA National Champions (355.400) in their first meeting of the regular season. The win marks the second straight victory over the Wolverines at Cliff Keen Arena, as Oklahoma claimed its eighth victory of a top 10 opponent. Highlighting the meet for Oklahoma was Legendre winning his second straight all-around, which was the 12th of his career. Legendre claimed an individual event title on vault with a score of 16.050. Sophomore Alex Naddour also took his fourth pommel horse title of the season with a score of 15.650. Sophomore Jacob Dalton, fresh off his American Cup third-place finish, posted a top scores on floor (15.350), rings (15.100) to take two individual titles. PENN STATE, ILLINOIS MARCH 19, 2011 OU, (W): (366.400-359.100) The No. 2 Oklahoma men s gymnastics team capped off another undefeated regular season with a pair of wins over No. 4 Illinois and No. 5 Penn State at the Howard McCasland Field House on Saturday, The Sooners (12-0 overall, 5-0 MPSF) posted the highest score in the NCAA this season (366.400) en route to its victory over the Nittany Lions (356.750) and the Fighting Illini (359.100). Oklahoma finished the regular season undefeated for the fourth time under Williams. The Sooners have finished the regular season undefeated four times in the past seven years (2011, 2009, 2006, 2004). In addition, the Sooners are 19-0 at Howard McCasland Field House since its last home loss in 2007 to Ohio State. On Saturday, Oklahoma posted top scores on four of the six event titles with team highs on floor (62.850), vault (64.900), parallel bars (59.150) and high bar (59.300). Highlighting the meet was Jacob Dalton, who tied an individual program record on vault with a 16.700, previously held by senior Steven Legendre. OU also broke a team program record on vault with a 64.900, previously set against Penn State in 2009 (64.650).
