RecPlex Holiday Ice Show Saturday, December 19 th 1:00pm and 6:00pm Registration Deadline: Monday, October 26 th Register by October 10 th and receive $20 off!!! Dear Skaters, The RecPlex Ice Arena is excited to invite you to participate in the Holiday Ice Show. The shows will be held Saturday, December 20 th at 1:00pm and 6:00pm. The following group numbers will be offered: Snowplow Sam Basic 1 & 2 Basic 3-5 Specialty 1 (Freeskate 1-3) Specialty 2 (Freeskate 4-6) Specialty 3(Passed Freeskate 6) Basic 6-8 In addition to the group numbers above we will also have feature solos, duets, guest skaters and our four IceStars Synchronized Skating teams. For your convenience tickets will go on sale Saturday, December 5, 2015. General admission is $10.00 per person and reserved seating is available for $11 per person (2 and under are free). Reserved seating areas will include handicap and part of the upper and middle rows. General seating will be available on a first come first serve basis. Doors will open 40 mins prior to the start of the show. Eligibility: All skaters that wish to participate must sign up for a skating class at the RecPlex Ice Arena for the Fall 1 or the Fall 2 session. The only exception to this rule is listed below and applicable to Freeskate 1 & above skaters. Skating Level must be determined as of October 26 th, 2015: Freeskate 1 & up: Our FS1 & up skaters have the option of signing up for a class OR purchasing a Holiday Ice Show Freestyle package for the Fall 2 session! The Holiday Show Freestyle package will give the skater 7 hours of Freestyle ice which may be used during any Freestyle session throughout the Fall 2 session. However, the holiday show package will expire on 12/21. No extensions will be given. Show Freestyle Package - Fall 2 Oct. 27-Dec. 21, 2015 - Members $88 Non-Members $96

Costumes: All costumes will be ordered for the listed group numbers. Music will be selected for each group number and choreographed by RecPlex Ice Arena staff during the scheduled rehearsals (included in this packet). Extra copies are available at the Ice Arena Guest Services Desk. Costume Registration Information: All costume information should be filled out online BEFORE you register at the front desk. Online costume form: http://recplexonline.com/admin/customform/form/id/38 Please measure your skater with a proper measuring tape and fill out every detail to avoid mistakes in sizing of costumes. If you are unsure please ask one of the figure skating coordinators and they will help determine the size. Since not all companies use the same sizing chart please fill out every measurement in inches and it will be matched with the appropriate size. Print your email receipt after filling in the costume form so you can present it to guest services before you register and pay. Volunteer Requirements: It is required that each family volunteer at least 2 hours of their time either during the Holiday Ice Show or during the Autumn Classic on November 14 th and 15 th 2015. Please fill out the volunteer form attached to this packet. Solos & Duets: ALL skaters passed Freeskate 6 may sign up to try-out for a solo/duet. Any skater doing a solo or a duet will be required to be in a Specialty Number. All solo/duet skaters will be in Specialty 3. Solo/Duet spots are limited. A production number may be formed depending on the number of skaters trying out. Music for solos, duets and trios will be provided by the skater(s) and presented to the Figure Skating Coordinator (Katie Kerley) via email for approval BEFORE choreography is started. Music is to be of a holiday theme. Music choices will be given on a first come first serve basis. Costumes for solos, duets and trios will be provided by the skater and presented to Figure Skating Coordinator for approval. Costumes should be in good taste. Feel free to be creative! Music: Solos should be no longer then 2:00min. Duets/Trios should be no longer then 1:30min. Fees: EARLY bird discount! Receive $20 off if you register by Tuesday, October 10 th! Snowplow Sam, Basic 1 & Basic 2: $70 (fewer and shorter practices) Basic 3 & Up: $110 Solo/Duets/Trios: $25 (+ $60 for costume if requested)

This fee includes the costume, ice time for rehearsals, choreography, coaching fees, lighting and miscellaneous expenses. That price also includes a DVD of the show. Any skater wearing rental skates will be required to purchase boot covers from the Pro Shop. Attendance: Specialty lighting, decorations and props will be used to create a holiday wonderland for the skaters. To ensure a quality show, all rehearsals will be mandatory! All missed rehearsals must be approved by the Figure Skating Coordinator. If a skater misses more than one rehearsal (unexcused) they will not be allowed to participate in the show! No exceptions will be made!! Please look over the scheduled rehearsal times to be sure your skater(s) can attend them all. Pictures: Picture Day will be Saturday, December 12 th. Picture packet forms and the schedule will be available at the first rehearsal. We are excited that you decided to join us and help us celebrate! Important information to note: The online costume registration form, this form and full payment must be submitted no later than Oct 26 th, 2015. Forms turned in by October 10 th, will receive $20 off! The online costume form should be filled out PRIOR to payment. An email receipt must be presented to the front desk to show you have registered online before you register with guest services. Payments can be made online or at the Ice Arena Guest Services desk. No Refunds will be given after October 30 th, 2015. Anyone wearing rental skates will be required to purchase boot covers from the Pro Shop. Skaters participating must be enrolled in Fall 1 or Fall 2 classes. Skaters Freeskate 1 and up have the option to purchase a Holiday Ice Show Freestyle Series Sale. All groups will r run their completed number with the spotlights and utilize the stage doors. Groups will also practice their entrance and exit for finale during this time. Solo/Duet Spotlight Freestyle: This Freestyle will run from 8:00-9:30pm. Skaters will pre-register and be assigned a warm up time; either 8:00pm or 8:45pm. Each skater/duet will be able to perform their solo with their music and under the spotlights following a 5min warm up. This is an additional cost of $15 per skater.
