Clydesdale Cross Sport Horse Association Young Stock Show 2016 Date: Sunday 16 th October, 2016 Venue: Time: Elmore Equestrian Park 48 Rosaia Road, Elmore, VIC 9:00 am The CCSHA invites all Young Stock owners, to take part in our 2016 Young Stock Show. In order to celebrate the diversity of the Clydesdale Cross and other Heavy Horse breeds, the CCSHA is hosting a fun filled show for weanlings to 3 year old. As we don t want to be greedy and leave other young stock owners sitting at home, we would also like to extend our invitation to all pure and part bred young stock that are registered with a breed or colour society. Like all CCSHA events, we offer a relaxed and supportive environment that caters for complete beginners, right through to experienced show handlers. It does not matter if you and your youngster have never competed before; there will be plenty of assistance on the day and people to cheer you on. Feel free to go all out in your turnout gear or bring your horse with mane, tail and feather flying. Catering will be available on the day and well-priced camping and stables are available onsite for those wishing to stay over. Ribbons will be awarded to 6 th place, with sashes for Best Presented and garlands for Supreme. Competitors MUST be current financial members of their own breed society and horses MUST be registered. Proof must be provided with your entry form or your entries will not be accepted. Classes may be combined / divided at the discretion of the Judge / Event Secretary. Horses / ponies MUST be 3 years of age and under, as determined at the date of the event. Refer to Horse Rules for further information. GUIDELINES AND RULES FOR COMPETITORS GENERAL INFORMATION Competitors MUST be current financial members of your society and horses MUST be registered with that society. A copy of your membership card (or similar), as well as your horse s registration certificate, MUST be sent in with all pre-paid entries. If you are entering on the day, proof must be presented to the Event Secretary CCSHA Membership and Horse Registrations must be completed prior to the Event and will NOT be accepted on the day A First Aid representative will be on hand during the Event for any accidents or injuries that may occur Please respect the grounds, clean up after yourself and follow Elmore Equestrian Park s guidelines for rubbish and manure disposal Show entries that have not been paid in full, will not be accepted Any handler under the age of 16 MUST wear a helmet for safety reasons No Refunds on entries / stabling / camping will be provided without a medical / Veterinary certificate or by special application to the CCSHA Committee Absolutely No Dogs allowed on the grounds, so please leave your pets at home NO SMOKING IN VENUE OR AROUND ENTRANCE TO VENUE Competitors may enter the venue through Rosaia 4 Gate (fourth) gate in Rosaia Road from Midland Highway Please keep the gate closed at all times CAMPING AND ACCOMMODATION Camping MUST be booked with and fees paid directly to Elmore Equestrian Park (EEP). The CCSHA is unable to accept fees or make bookings on your behalf. Please complete the form attached and forward directly to EEP Powered camping sites are available at a cost of $20.00 per night and are located on adjacent to the stables Non-powered camping sites are available at a cost of $15.00 per night and are located adjacent to the day yards No horses are to be tied up in the powered camping area Horse manure in camping area MUST be cleaned up STABLES Stables are available for $25.00 per night and MUST be booked with and fees paid directly to EEP. The CCSHA is unable to accept fees or make bookings on your behalf. Please complete the form attached and forward directly to EEP Bedding is NOT included in the stable price and can be ordered through EEP. Straw can be purchased at a cost of $10 per bale (delivered to your stable). Shavings can be purchased at a cost of $32 per stable (delivered to your stable) The stable next to your horse may be booked to use as a tack room (pending availability) for $15 per event Competitors will be advised of their allocated stable numbers prior to the event and are not permitted to swap stables without permission from EEP All stables must be thoroughly cleaned before you leave. Stables that have not been cleaned correctly will incur a fee of $50 Cleaning of stables can be pre-booked at a cost of $30 per stable Painting of horse s hooves is strictly not permitted on any concreted areas, including the stables. There are mats available in the stable pavilion for competitors use Competitors who have not booked stables are required to park their float in the day yard area

RULES FOR HORSES In order to the eligible to enter, horses / ponies MUST be 3 years of age and under, as at 01.08.16 o Horses born from 01/08/2015 will be classed as a yearling (young stock born after 01/08/16 will NOT be accepted) o Horses born after 01/08/2014 will be classed as a 2 year old o Horses born after 01/08/2013 will be classed as a 3 year old Horses will be allocated with an exhibit number and this must be clearly displayed throughout the event (i.e. chest number holder, number displayed on halter / bridle, handler to wear number, etc.) Young stock must be weaned and / or compete in the ring on their own. No Mares or other companions may enter the ring Young stock to be shown according to their breed standard Plaiting is optional. Naturally presented young stock should be neat, clean and tidy All colts 2 years and over must be bitted (or chain) in the ring and handled by persons over 18 years of age Under no circumstances are Young Stock to be tied to the rails of the arena Young Stock that are deemed to be risk to other exhibits or exhibitors will be asked to leave the arena and no refund on entries will be provided No horse food or water is permitted in the arena. Horses are not permitted to be tied to floats unless they are fully supervised No lunging is permitted on any grass area Wash bays are available for use (cold water only) and must be kept clean at all times.
