The IWGA and KOC organisers are to be congratulated on a fantastic achievement in moving the finals of the canoe polo competition, with support from federation Team Leaders and athletes to the Kaohsiung International Swimming Pool. In just three hours all the equipment, boats and participants were moved to the new venue, an international working group made up of officials, organisers and team members worked hard to get the pool ready for the prestige finals, with world wide cooperation showing the bond that these sports men and women have for each other. The Women s semi final between Great Britain and France was first match on with France taking an early lead of yet unbeaten Great Britain. GB s equaliser just before half time clearly came as great relief for their team, but with no goals in the second half the match went to overtime (first goal wins) with a tense minutes before GB scored to reach the final.
