The season will consist of eight tournaments. These tournaments shall be sanctioned and governed by USBC rules. Entrants shall be limited to USBC youth league members (USBC rule 300c.2). Scratch tournaments shall be held the third Saturday of each month followed by the Handicap tournament on Sunday of the same weekend (check the schedule for the actual dates). The TVMT will start in the month of October and end in the month of May. 1. Times: Tournament time shall be 2:00 PM Saturday for Scratch and 9:30 AM Sunday for Handicap with the following exceptions Handicap Division 1 will start at 11:30 AM on Sunday: a. November 22 nd at Kegler s Korner b. January 17 th at KT s Lanes 2. Check in: Registration and check in will begin 1 hour before each flight begins. 3. Averages/Handicap: a. Handicap will be figured at 100% of 220 with a maximum handicap based on the lowest average in a division. b. Averages used for TVMT will be based on the following: i. Bowlers entering TVMT will use their TVMT book average from last year. ii. Those not having a TVMT book average will use their highest house average from the end of the previous month. iii. Bowlers not having a TVMT book average or current house average of 9 games will use their highest league average at the end of the previous season. iv. TVMT average after 9 games will be used from that point on. v. Any bowler not having an average meeting the above criteria will use an entering average of 220. 4. Participation: a. Participation shall be limited to one entry in the Scratch Tournament (any division), and/or one entry in the Handicap Tournament (any division) per month. b. Average will determine a bowler s division (see 3. Averages/Handicap). 5. Divisions: There will be six divisions: DIVISION I SCRATCH Average 175 and above DIVISION II SCRATCH Average 130-174 and below DIVISION III SCRATCH Average 129 and below DIVISION I HANDICAP Average 155 and above DIVISION II HANDICAP Average 115-154 DIVISION III HANDICAP Average 114 and below a. A bowler entering the tournament with last year s TVMT book average will have their division rerated once a current TVMT average is established.

b. ONCE A BOWLER MOVES TO A HIGHER DIVISION WITH A CURRENT TVMT AVERAGE THEY CANNOT MOVE BACK TO A LOWER DIVISION. THEY DO, HOWEVER, TAKE ANY ACCUMULATED POINTS WITH THEM. c. There will be no changing of divisions for the final tournament of the year (April to May). 6. Moving Lanes: a. Bowlers, in all Scratch divisions will move one pair of lanes to the right after each game, with the bowlers on the last pair of lanes moving to the first pair of lanes. b. All Scratch Divisions and Handicap Divisions I and II will bowl four games. b. Handicap Division III will bowl three games. c. Scratch bowlers will bowl on a predetermined oil pattern (see schedule). Handicap bowlers will bowl on the house oil pattern. d. The bowlers with the top eight total pin scores in each division shall compete in a one game head-tohead competition. The bowler in the first position will bowl against the bowler in the eighth position; the bowler in the second position will bowl against the bowler in the seventh positions, etc. i. In the case of a tie for eighth place, a one game roll off will be held to determine which bowler will fill the final qualifying position (roll off pins will have no bearing on the tournament itself). ii. All other ties: 1. In the scratch divisions a 9 th and 10 th frame roll-off will determine placing. 2. In the handicap divisions ties will be awarded to the individual with the highest scratch score in the first set of qualifying games. e. These games will determine the four final qualifiers, who will then compete in a traditional step ladder finish. In case of a tie in the head to head matches or step ladder finals, a 9 th and 10 th frame roll off will be used. The bowler with the higher score advances. Handicap tournaments only: 1/10 th of the bowlers handicap will be used for both the 9 th and 10 th frame. All fractions of handicap will be rounded down. For example if 1/10 th of the bowler s handicap is 8.7 the handicap will be 8 pins per frame. 8. Scores: a. A TVMT official or a designated adult will write down all scores. Only one adult per set of lanes shall be in charge of keeping the scores for that set of lanes. b.
