..take you to Switzerland Majestic mountains, superb skiing, excellent ski schools. With such an overwhelming natural backdrop, many visitors are lured to Switzerland to experience the pristine mountains and the untouched outdoors. Switzerland truly represents the awesome beauty of the Alps, from the lush deep lakes to the highest mountain peak, from the rich green forests to the enduring snow of the glaciers. ..so begins the adventure The final leg of your journey to Arosa begins at Chur. From here you are in for a treat, one of the world s top 10 scenic railway journeys through to your destination. The carriages, in the blue & yellow of Arosa, cross the elegant Langwieser Viaduct and up on through the snow covered forests, an incredible climb of 1000 metres in just 26 kilometres. When you pull into Arosa, you know your Alpine Adventure has begun.
..to Ski Arosa and Lenzerheide Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of the Sherlock Holmes books and an avid sportsman, wrote of his pioneering ski adventures in Arosa. It is easy to see why, when you visit the spectacular resort, situated at 1800 metres above sea level in a mountain bowl surrounded by high peaks. The variety of runs has something for everyone; easy access for beginners, immaculately groomed slopes for intermediates and a wondrous amount of off-piste. The ski area of Arosa is linked to Lenzerheide giving you 225 kms of slopes on a single lift pass.
..and stay in in the beautiful town village of of Arosa Torgon Arosa has been a popular place to relax, recover and enjoy the clean mountain air for more than 100 years. Everything in Arosa can be reached by foot or by the free bus to give you access to a vast array of shops and a diverse selection of wonderful restaurants. With peaks rising all around you, a walk through Arosa is a string of post card perfect views and picturesque mountain scenes. Achieving the seemingly impossible, the village retains its very traditional feel yet combines it with the Swiss German efficiency of a modern ski resort; everything the winter sports enthusiast could wish for.
..at the Basic Hotel The accommodation that we use is a new concept for Arosa and offers good quality at affordable prices, refurbished and re-branded as the ironically named Basic Hotel - click and see for yourself Most of the rooms are spacious and stylish and all rooms have en-suite facilities. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere whilst retaining that feeling of Swiss efficiency. Perfectly located right in the middle of the village it ideal for a great alpine holiday both on and off the slopes. Breakfast and evening meals are offered as a buffet to give you choice and convenience.

Their uniforms are not the traditional red and white; they proudly wear blue and yellow, the distinctive colours of the village of Arosa. The ski school offers a wide range of ski and snowboard lessons taught by a highly motivated and passionate team of instructors. Their professionalism, knowledge and experience remains unmatched.
