SOCIAL EVENTS As much as the sports events are a fundamental part of the Games, so too are the social events. The Games provide a unique opportunity to meet other people from throughout the world and Anzère is a friendly, welcoming place to make friends for life. As a bustling ski resort, Anzère has many different bars and cafés, each with their own unique atmosphere. As part of the schedule for the Games, there will be a programme of optional music, activities and excursions, including a torch lit ski descent and torch lit snow shoeing. A detailed schedule of social events will be available closer to the start of the Games NICHOLAS GREEN LIVE-IN CAMP The Nicholas Green camp is staged in memory of Nicholas Green, a child who was murdered in Italy in 1995 and whose organs were donated by his parents to save 6 Italian lives. For more information on Nicholas, please visit http://www.nicholasgreen.org. One free Nicholas Green Camp place per country is offered, but a condition is that children benefiting from this free place have never skied or snowboarded previously and are, therefore, complete beginners. Additional places are available for children who are not complete beginners, but these places are only available to children have never participated in either a previous Nicholas Cup or TACKERS ski camp. The Nicholas Green camp brings together children who have had transplants from around the world, to participate in a camp where they have the opportunity to meet peers who have shared the same experience. The aim is for the children to develop their independence by trying new sports such as skiing, snowboarding, dog sleighing, etc. and to develop a support network to help their families and each other. The camp provides an environment outside of the hospital to educate the children to comply with their post-transplant medication programme, promote good health and a fulfilling life and most importantly have fun! Camp rebuilds their confidence and shows them and their parents that they can live life independently, like others. It is also a unique way to educate and promote the positive results of organ donation and transplantation to transplant recipients, healthcare professionals and the general public. With the support of the media, the camp will show donor families the result of their "gift of life". The camp is truly international, with children and staff from all over the world having fun in a fully-supervised environment. During the camp, the focus will be on learning to ski and snowboard. Every morning, our experienced camp counsellors will accompany the participants in small groups to the ski slopes, creating a fun learning environment, successfully balancing games and instruction in a safe, fully-supervised environment. Utilising modern approaches to sports education, they will instil confidence, working closely with those progressing more slowly, while challenging those whose skills are developing more rapidly. After lunch, the participants will have the option of continuing to ski or taking part in a different activity, either in and around the village or at the camp. Activities on offer will include arts & crafts, ice skating, swimming and dog sledding. After dinner and the famous "ding-a-ling" awards, age-suitable evening activities will be organised by our counsellors. The provisional schedule for the Nicholas Green camp is as follows: Saturday 6 January Optional arrival day Dinner will be provided today Winter World Transplant Games 2018 REGISTRATION INFORMATION (V.24.07) Page 7 of 10

Sunday 7 January Official start of the camp Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided today Monday 8 - Thursday 11 January Fully-supervised programme of ski instruction and activities. To encourage independence in the children, parents or guardians will only have limited daily contact with their child, with visiting time to camp strictly 16:00 to 18:00, except in exceptional circumstances (illness, etc.). IMPORTANT NOTE FOR TEAM MANAGERS: Any registered child benefiting from a free place (1 per country) for the Nicholas Green camp who, at the start of the camp, is discovered to have skied or snowboarded previously, will be immediately disqualified from the camp.
