2016 Armidale Show Youth Show: Conditions of entry 1. Entrants without a PIC Number will be refused participation 2. All heifers to be owned and registered in the name of the exhibitors 3. Age of Parader must be between 8 and of 25 years of age as of the 26th February 2016 (For Friday events) 4. All Exhibitors/Paraders must sign a Personal Indemnity Form. 5. All cattle are to be registered with a society. 6. Cattle age limits (age as of 26th February 2016) All heifers must be over 8 months and under 20 months and must be weaned All steers must be milk tooth Steers can be crossbred. (Steer classes will be decided on close of entries) 7. NO bulls will be judged on Friday night. 8. NOSE CLIPS OR RINGS ARE COMPULSORY 9. Bulls under 20 months and young cows can be used in the Paraders competition 10. All cattle must have a legible tattoo in accordance with a society. 11. All cattle MUST have an NLIS Device. 12. Classes for cattle and competitors will be determined after entries close. 13. Appropriate dress must be worn at all times. No thongs or joggers allowed while working with the cattle. 14. No alcohol to be consumed by persons under 18 at any time. 15. Exhibitors must supply their own equipment and feed. 16. No dogs to be allowed on the grounds. If dogs are found they will be IMPOUNDED. 17. Bedding for the cattle will be supplied. 18. Health status forms must be supplied with entry forms 19. All exhibits must have an acceptable temperament, be broken to lead and an animal can be disqualified and removed by the stewards, if it doesn t meet an acceptable standard. 20. Schools/Colleges are eligible to participate. 21. All school competitors must be accompanied by a teacher, parent or guardian. Only students who are currently enrolled at school/college are eligible to compete as a part of the Schools Team. 22. SCHOOLS/COLLEGES CAN PAY FOR STUDENTS IN LUMP SUM WHEN THEY PAY FOR CATTLE ENTRIES 23. Disruptive and unacceptable behaviour from exhibitors and students will not be tolerated. Unacceptable behaviour may lead to disqualification from the competition. 24. ALL EXHIBITORS ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT MUST HAVE CURRENT CERTIFICATE FROM A REGISTERED ELECTRICIAN AS REQUIRED BY LAW 25. There will be NO SMOKING in the cattle sheds, toilets, eating and sleeping areas. 26. ALL COMPETITORS ENTER AT THEIR OWN RISK. ALL EXHIBITORS MUST COMPLETE AN INDEMNITY FORM 27. ALL PROTESTS TO BE LODGED WITHIN 1 HOUR OF THE CLASS FINISHING, ACCOMPANIED WITH $50 28. STUDS AND EXHIBITORS THAT HAVE NOT PAID BY SATURDAY, WILL HAVE ALL WINNINGS WITHHELD UNTIL ENTRY FEES ARE PAID 29. All females and males, 9 months and under 12 months to be paraded with a nose dog. 11. Neck straps are compulsory whenever cattle are in the stall. 12. Stewards reserve the right to alter classes if insufficient cattle are entered. 13. Johnes disease declarations by exhibitors/exhibitors agent form to be used. Cattle will be stalled in accordance with Herd Status. 14. STALLING WILL BE DONE IN BREEDS. STUDS WHO HAVE SEVERAL BREEDS, CAN REQUEST ON ENTRIES THAT THE BREEDS BE STALLED NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER. 15. Ribbons will be awarded to third place at the discretion of the judge. 16. STUDS AND EXHIBITORS THAT HAVE NOT PAID BY SATURDAY, WILL HAVE ALL WINNINGS WITHHELD UNTIL ENTRY FEES ARE PAID 17. Only cattle paraded in general classes may be entered in the group classes. 18. Appeal against a judge s decision shall be in writing, submitted within one hour of the decision, and accompanied by a deposit of $50 which shall be forfeited to the Society if the Committee considers the appeal to be frivolous. The appeal will be considered and decided by the Committee appointed for the purpose, as soon as circumstances permit. Should any exhibit to which a prize has been awarded be disqualified, the next on the list does not necessarily obtain the prize. The committee will decide. 19. Numbers permitting, British breed classes will be split into 16 months and under 18, and 18 months to 20. PLEASE NOTE ANY CATTLE REMAINING ON GROUNDS FOR SATURDAY NIGHT, THERE WILL BE A SOUND-OFF DONE BY THE UTE SHOW AT APPROX. 4:00PM SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THIS WILL BE HELD ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE EXHBITION CENTRE. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CATTLE WILL BE RESTRAINED AT THIS TIME.
