Race Kit Collection Saturday, February 20, 2016, 13.00pm 22.00 pm at BANGSAEN HERITAGE Hotel You must bring your ID / Passport as proof of identification for your Race Kit Collection Your Race Kit includes: Swim Cap Goodies Bag Bib numbers for bike and run Race Pack Stickers Timing Chip Wristbands Souvenir T-shirts Notation All participants are required to wear the wristband until the race ends. Wristband will serve as your identification for entering into the transition Sunday morning and ensure that only you can remove your bike from transition. The bib must be visible and worn on the back during the bike session and on the front outside of all clothing during the run session. Please do not alter the bib in any way. Participants should attach bib sticker number on seat post as well as on the front of helmet. Timing chip must be worn on the left ankle. STICKER NUMBER (TO BE ANNOUNCED)

Swim cap colors are designed to indicate participant s wave start and it is prohibited to change the swim caps during the race. Race Briefing February 20, 2016 at Bangsaen Heritage Hotel from 17.30pm 18.30pm Participants could pick up bib number and race kit from 13:00-22:00 on that day. Race organizer recommend athletes to download race manual at www.thailandtrileague.com Prize Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 in each age-group category for standard and sprint distance triathlon, duathlon and team relay. Prize money for Triathlon (Standard distance and Team Relay) *Athletes in Sprint distance and Duathlon will only receive Trophies. Award Ceremony and Party February 21, 2016 16.00pm-20.00pm at Bangsaen Heritage Hotel Race organizer would like to invite all athletes to attend Award Ceremony. Note Athletes and attendances wearing wristbands can take food and drink for free. Note: All participants are required to wear the wristband until the race ends. Parking Bangsaen Heritage Hotel Please bring your car to the parking lot before 05.00am on the race day due to road closure.

Temperature Average air temperature at Bangsaen, Chonburi is around 25-30 Celsius in February. Athletes should train and prepare themselves at least 2 weeks prior to avoid dehydration. We recommend to carry at least 2 bottles of water/sport drinks on the Bike leg. Bike Mechanic Service Bike mechanic service staffs are available on February 20 at the Tri-League Expo, Bangsaen Heritage Hotel from 13:00 to 22:00 and 04:00-05:30 on race day at service point. It s the Athlete responsibility to make sure that their bike is ready for race day. Bike Check in Participants must check in their bike on Saturday from 16:00-22:00 at the transition area. Participants must do the check in themselves and there will be a photo shoot to ensure the ownership of the bike. (No bike check in is allowed on race day.) Hydration Station and Medical Station (Position on Race Map)* Water and energy drink will be provided, as well as medical stations at varied points on the race course: Swim course At the swim start/exit Bike course - At the far end U-turn point - Run exit in the transition area Run course - Approx. every 1.2km of run course, 8 points available. *Subject to change Timing system "Champion Chip" is official Timing System of the tournament. This system requires all athletes to wear thetiming Chip on their left ankle during the whole race. Do not cut or break to avoiding system error. Athletes must return the Timing Chip at the finish area. Please make sure that chip is returned to an official. Athletes have responsibility to pay USD 20 redemption fee in case of lost or not returning the chip. If athletes could not continue the race, please inform official and return the chip as well. Duathlon: Start at 07:00, assemble at 06:30-06:50 (Transition will be closed at 05:30) *Athletes must be on specific time at assemble point. Finisher Medal Finisher medals will be awarded to all participants who finish within the cut-off time. Transportation when Cut-Off Due to the limited time of road closure, if participants fails to complete the bike or run course before the cut-off times transportation will be provided back to the transition area. Recovery area: Massage, Food and Drinks will be provided between 08:00am to 11:00am near the finish line. Aid Stations Medical staffs and emergency teams are ready to aid athletes at various points on the race course. -Swim course Medical and Rescue teams along the course : Boats with assistant devices : Rescue guards and Diver teams -Bike course Medical and Rescue teams along the course : 2 spots of Medical station and Emergency staff along Bike course : Marshall staffs with assistant devices -Run course - 4 spots of Medical station and Emergency staffs along Run course Main Medical Center is located at finish line, Bangsaen Heritage Hotel. - Available with medical appliances same standard as Hospital, ready for preliminary aid. Bike Check Out Only athletes with wristband can enter transition to check out bike and/or other race equipment. There will be a photo shoot at the exit to ensure ownership. Participants can enter the transition area between 11:30-13:30 or when the last athlete started the run. Please complete check out before 13:30 on race day. Lost & Found Notification Point Belongings which are found on the race course will be delivered to the Lost & Found Notification Point. Athletes can notify and redeem their lost items at this point. After race finished, unredeemed belongings will be kept at Sport Master Company for 1 week. Please make a mark on your belongings to verify your ownership.

Rules Applying to both Triathlon and Duathlon [Rules Applying to all Segments of the Race] Athletes are required to follow directions and instructions of all race officials and public authorities. Course marshals have the authority to disqualify athletes. Medical personnel have ultimate and final authority to remove an athlete from the race if the athlete is judged to be physically incapable of continuing the race without risk of serious injury or death. Medical transport of any athlete will result in a DNF (Did not finish). No athlete may use any drug or substance as prescribed by IOC Doping Control rules. Fraud, theft, abusive treatment of volunteers and other acts of poor sportsmanship are grounds for immediate disqualification and potential exclusion from future Thailand Tri-league events. If an athlete decides to withdraw from the race at any time, it is the responsibility of the athlete to notify race officials at the information tent near the finish line. ipods or other music players are not permitted. Athlete s torso must be covered during the bike and run sections of the race. Failure to do so will result in a 10 minute penalty. Thailand Tri-league reserves the right to make rule changes at any time. All athletes will be notified in writing or at the pre-race mandatory race briefing. All athletes who could not reach the cut-off points at specific times will not be entitled to win age-group awards and will be declassified in the result lists (DNF). Protest Procedure Any participant who wishes to lodge a protest regarding any decision of the race administration or the conduct of any other participants must file a written protest with the Race Director within 30 minutes of completing or withdrawing from the race and pay a protest fee of THB 3,500 or USD100. The protest fee will only be refunded if the participant s protest is successful. The race director s decision is final and once made cannot be appealed. Any participant s misconduct during the protest procedure may lead to refusal of entry into any future Thailand Tri-league events. Swim 1.5K (Applying to Standard distance) & 750M (applying to Sprint distance) The race start will be divided into nine waves. o Triathlon standard distance overall will start at 6:30am o Triathlon standard distance age group will start at 6:35am o Triathlon sprint distance age group will start at 7:15am o Duathlon will start at 7:00am All athletes must make sure they start in the correct wave. Each athlete must wear the official race swim cap during the swim portion of the race. All athletes must be numbered before entering the Transition Area. No wetsuits, speed suits*, fins, aqua socks, gloves, paddles or floatation devices of any kind allowed. Race suits covering below shoulders and/or knees can be worn if made of 100% textile material Swim goggles or face masks may be worn. No individual paddlers or escorts are allowed. Athletes may accept assistance from any race official source without penalty or disqualification provided that it does not affect their competitive position.

Bouy aids is allowed for novice only which has to start in wave 5 (Standard distance) or wave 9 (Sprint distance) only. The athletes will not be rewarded to any category. Team triathlon will not allow any bouy aid or life jacket. * speed suits made of rubber material Cut-off Times for Swim: Standard Swim section (1500m) cut off time will be at 08:00am (30min from start of last swim wave). If you are still in the water, the rescue boat will pick you up and transfer to the beach near transition and cannot continue the race. Sprint Swim section cut off time will be at 08:00am (30min from start of last swim wave). Bike 42K (Applying to Standard Tri and Duathlon) & 24K (applying to Sprint) Athletes must make sure their bikes are safe to use for the bike section. TT Bike, Road Bike and Mountain Bike are eligible. Folding bike, big foot, double cyclist, fixed gear and any type not suitable for high speed competition are ineligible. No tandems, recumbent, fairings or any devices designed exclusively to reduce air resistance are allowed. Athletes must keep 7 meters (~5 bike lengths) distance between bikes except when passing. Failure to do so will result in a drafting violation and a time penalty or disqualification. A pass occurs when the overtaking athlete s front wheel passes the leading edge of the athlete being overtaken. Overtaking athletes may pass on the right for up to 20 seconds, but must move back to the left side of the road, after passing. Failure to complete a pass within 20 seconds will result in a drafting violation. An athlete who is unable to pass within the 20 seconds must immediately fall back 7 meters (~5 bike lengths) before attempting to regain the lead from a front running bike. Immediately repassing prior to falling back 7 meters will result in an overtaken violation. An overtaken athlete who remains within 7 meters (~5 bike lengths) for more than 20 seconds will be given a drafting violation. For safety reasons, participants must ride on the left side of the road except when passing another participant. Side-by-side riding is not allowed and will result in a position violation. Athletes who impede the forward progress of other athletes will be given a blocking violation. Athletes committing rules violations will be notified on the spot by an official. Do not attempt to discuss the penalty with the official. The official will blow whistle and call out your bib number. At this point you must break up from drafting. RED CARD penalty for drafting means immediately out of the competition. YELLOW CARD from drafting equals 4-min penalty. Two yellow cards equal 8-min penalty, penalty time will be added at the finish line.

Three yellow cards equal RED CARD which means the athlete will be out of competition immediately. If participant is disqualified, he or she will not be eligible to race. This is non-drafting race. Drafting is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Each athlete must wear a race number at all times while on the course. Race numbers identify the official athletes in the race. Folding, cutting the race number, intentional alteration of any kind or failure to wear the race number so that it is plainly visible is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification. While there will be traffic control on the bike course, it may be impossible to close the roads for the complete duration of the event. Therefore, at all times during the race, contestants should assume that cars may be on the road and take all necessary safety precautions. Athletes are advised to take extreme care on all turns and in areas where there are driveways or access roads. Due to the heat, it is highly recommended that all competitor bikes have a minimum of two water bottle cages. Athletes who got bike cut-off are not allowed to race in the run section. During the race there will be yellow flag zone which indicate no passing zone, please be aware and follow the rule. Cut-off Times for Bike: Standard Bike (42KM) cut-off time will be at 10.00am at Km.22 (2h30min after start of last swim wave). If you are still on the road, the organizer will pick you up and transfer to the transition and must be out of the competition. Sprint Bike (24KM) cut-off time will be at 10.00am (2h30min after start of last swim wave). If you are still on the road, the organizer we will pick you up and transfer to the transition and must be out of the competition. Duathlon Bike (42KM) cut-off time will be 10.00am at Km.22 (2h30min after start of last swim wave). If you are still on the road, the organizer will pick you up and transfer to the transition and must be out of the competition. Run 10KM (Applying to Standard Tri and Duathlon) & 6KM (Applying to Sprint Tri) No form of locomotion other than running, walking or crawling is allowed. Athletes must wear race number at all times while on course. Race number must be placed on the front where it is clearly visible. Folding, cutting race number, intentional alteration of any kind, or failure to wear race number is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification. Individual support vehicles or non-participant escort runners are NOT allowed and will result in disqualification. A non-participant escort runner includes athletes who have withdrawn from the race, have been disqualified or have finished the race. Friends, family members, coaches or supporters of any type may not bike, drive or run alongside athletes, may not pass food or other items to athletes and should be warned to stay completely clear of all athletes to avoid the disqualification of an athlete. It is incumbent upon each athlete to immediately reject any attempt

to assist, follow or escort. It is permissible for an athlete who is still competing to run with other athletes who are still competing. Athletes are expected to follow the direction and instruction of all race officials and public authorities. The race running course will be a 10k Standard Triathlon, 6km Sprint Triathlon / 6+10km Duathlon course of which athletes must complete. Cut-off Times for Run: All races will have a cut-off time at 11:00am at Km.5 The race official will bring the athletes back to the transition and mark the status as DNF Cut-off athletes won t be able to receive the finisher medal
