Each chapter, whether you know it or not, is led by people, a/k/a volunteers, who take their time and make life nice for you. Each chapter has bylaws (www.singlesgolf.com/bylaws), and is required to elect a new chapter president each year and committee chair positions (golf, social, membership and communications). Other positions are appointed, e.g. secretary and treasurer. After everything s in place, your chapter should look like this: www.singlesgolf.com/organizationalchart These people comprise your Board of Directors who is ultimately responsible for making sure things run right to assure more fun, fellowship and fairways. Your chapter s bylaws require you to 1) set-up a Nomination s Committee to seek individuals to serve in the various committees, 2) have an election in October for a new chapter president and 3) have an election in November for the four (4) committee heads (golf, social, membership and communications). All new officers take office on January 1. If you re interested in serving on the Board of your chapter, please don t hesitate to speak up and become part of the decision-making process. Contact your current leaders. As always, your service to your chapter is much appreciated. Terms are for one year only but it can be a life changing event in your life.
