CREW PROFILE ROY DEAS (Rotational Captain) Qualifications: MCA OOW 3000 ton, Master 200 Advanced Fire Fighting, Medical care at sea, STCW 95, PADI Open water. 35 years old and has been with Jazz since February 2009. Roy has always had an affinity with the sea and has travelled extensively as result of his nomadic history, living in destinations such as Saudi Arabia and Thailand. Fitness is a key aspect of his personality and life style. Roy definitely enjoys a good physical challenge and hopes to complete an Iron Man Race one day. Safety is paramount on board and he is continually seeking new ways to improve the boats product to ensure guests enjoy a luxurious time on board catering for all their needs without them realizing. ADAM VIRIK (Rotational Captain) Qualifications: MCA Chief Mate 3000gt, Master 200gt unlimited, Advanced Fire Fighting, Medical care at sea, STCW 95, PWC Instructor certificate Adam comes from a nautical background growing up racing sailing dinghy's on the south coast of England. He started in the yachting industry in 2003 and for over a decade he has gained experience by working on a number of different yachts in a number of different roles; starting as a deckhand on a 72 meter motor yacht, working as the mate on 40 to 55 meter vessels and working his way up to his current position as Captain. Adam s primary role on board is to ensure the safety of the guests and crew but also making sure that the guests enjoy the best possible experience on board motor yacht Jazz of Monaco. LESLEY EVERLEY (CHEF) Qualifications: STCW 95, Qualifed Chef, Dive Master (PADI) Lesley is a British -Australian chef of impeccable taste and vision. She has been with Jazz since October 2008. Her love of travel has influenced her style of cooking, and with a recent winter in the Caribbean and America, her menus feature a global palate of cuisines and favours. A keen diver and snowboarder, she loves to be around people, so feel free to drop into the galley for a visit anytime. You will be extremely well catered for on Jazz, we are happy to cook your favourite dishes and love to delight and surprise you with some of ours. EMMA OLSSON (CHIEF STEWARDESS) Qualifications: STCW 95, Wine course, Advanced Diving, Deep tissue sports Massage L4, Personal Trainer Emma has worked on Jazz from 2010-2012 working her way up as Chief Stewardess. In winter of 2012 she set out to become a personal trainer and massage therapist. She is now fully qualified in this and after a year ashore gaining valuable experience she has returned to Jazz. In her spare time Emma is very active, enjoying running, snowboarding, swimming and other sports. She has completed several races placing 2nd in the Devon Endurance Ultra Marathon and 3rd in The Helsinki Trail marathon. NAOMI POIZAT (SECOND STEWARDESS) Qualifications: STCW 95, Food Hygiene Certificate. Naomi joined Jazz this season coming from a sailing yacht, looking for a new challenge. She is bilingual and comes from world travelled French parents. She grew up in London and New Zealand and has also lived in Australia and the Bahamas. Naomi has inherited her parents artistic.air and really enjoys getting creative with painting, sewing, craft making and cooking. RYAN FLETCHER (ROTATING MATE/ENGINEER) Qualifications: RYA Yachtmaster commercially endorsed, AEC, STCW 95. Ryan has a strong knowledge of marine engineering as he has been a build engineer for Princess Yachts and Sunseeker. He is methodical, energetic and always has a big smile on his face, no matter how serious the situation. Ryan is from Devon in the United Kingdom and an essential member of the crew, who will ensure the yacht will run seamlessly during your stay. Ryan has been working on Jazz since February 2009. NICK READ (Bosun / Chase Boat Driver) Qualifications: STCW 95,Yacht Master O nshore Commercially endorsed. Nick has been travelling from a young age where fishing competitions would take him all around the World, twice winning the FIPS world shore fishing championships. As well as his passion for sea and the sun, he enjoys participating in sports and surfing. Nick has a great sense of humour and a youthful bounce and as your chase boat captain he will ensure your comfort, well being and safety.
