This year marks the 28th anniversary of our Vancouver Invitational Golf Tournament! By simply participating in the 2015 RMH BC Vancouver Golf Tournament, you will give a BC families with seriously ill children a home away from home, while enjoying a great day of golf. Since 1987, funds raised at the tournament have provided accommodation for over 12,500 families in need. Your support in 2015 is even more critical since we have expanded to help more families than ever before. The new 73-bedroom Ronald McDonald House on the grounds of BC Children s Hospital as well as the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Surrey Memorial Hospital opened in July 2014. The 28th Annual RMH BC Vancouver Golf Tournament will take place on Tuesday, July 7th at Northview Golf & Country Club with a shotgun start of 10am. Registration will be first come first serve. We would like to invite you to make a difference by getting involved in one of the following ways: Play in the tournament. Your entry fee will include a continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf (Texas Scramble), carts, on-course contests/giveaways, a gourmet dinner, and access to great prizes and auction items. Become a tournament sponsor. There are different sponsorship levels available, and many include a complimentary team in the tournament Donate to our live and silent auction. Your generosity will directly benefit families with seriously ill children, while earning valuable community exposure for your organization. Finding themselves in a strange city and in a vulnerable state, these families long for life s simple comforts: a bed to sleep in, a kitchen to prepare a hot meal and a couch to put up their feet after a long day at the hospital. More than anything though, they seek a safe and affordable place where their family can stay together under one roof. Within our walls, kids undergoing treatment for cancer and other devastating diseases bask in the glow of family love. Here, parents under siege share stories with others who face similar challenges. And here, people have access to services that help put some joy and normalcy back into their lives. Ronald McDonald House British Columbia serves families who live beyond communities that comprise the Metro Vancouver region. Children, from birth to 19 years who are being treated at BC Children s or other Vancouver area medical facilities, and their families are eligible to stay at the House. How long do families usually stay at a Ronald McDonald House BC? Stays can be as short as one night or as long as several months, and sometimes extend to a year or more, depending on the child's illness and treatment. Who owns and operates Ronald McDonald House BC? Ronald McDonald House British Columbia is owned and operated by the Children s Family House Society of BC. Each of the 328 Ronald McDonald Houses worldwide is owned and operated by a local not-for-profit society. How are Ronald McDonald Houses funded?
