A MESSAGE FROM EMMA AND PAUL The memories we took from our incredible Double-winning campaign in 2015 will live with us forever, but that is behind us now all we are focused on is winning even more silverware this season. We want to defend our FA Women s Cup and FA Women s Super League 1 trophies and add the Continental Tyres Cup to our collection. That s before we even think about our second go at the UEFA Women s Champions League, which starts in October. This matchday information booklet has been put together for all our fans that will support us during what we hope is another historic season at Wheatsheaf Park, and there are more of you than ever after we saw a 164 per cent increase in attendance last year. We look forward to seeing you all again this year, along with a plenty of new faces. To help you out, this booklet makes you aware of everything that happens in relation to Ladies matchdays, including where to buy tickets, what food is available, travel details and so much more. Myself and the players will do our best put a smile on your face with our performances on the pitch, but the information within this booklet will hopefully ensure you have the best experience off it. 3 Emma Hayes Manager Paul Green Assistant Manager
GETTING TO STAINES TOWN The ladies team play their home games at Staines Town home ground, Wheatsheaf Park. By Road (A) Using the M25 Motorway Leave at Junction 13. If you are coming from the North (anticlockwise), bear left onto the A30 Staines By-Pass; if coming from the South (clockwise), you will need to go round the roundabout and back under the M25 to join the By-Pass. Follow the A30 Staines By-Pass as far as the Billet Bridge roundabout (the notorious Crooked Billet roundabout). This should be treated like a roundabout (i.e. avoid the route across the middle), and you take the last exit, A308, London Road towards the Town Centre. Avoiding Town Centre Option (a) Turn left at the second set of traffic lights, by the old Police Station, into Kingston Road. Follow this road past the zebra crossing near the railway station, over the railway bridge, and straight across the first mini-roundabout. At the second mini-roundabout, turn right into Worple Road, which you follow up to its meeting with the Laleham Road. At the Anglers Rest (formerly Lucan Arms), turn right into Laleham Road, B376. Wheatsheaf Lane is on the left by a traffic island. Option (b) Via Town Centre At the third set of traffic lights, immediately under the iron railway bridge, turn left into South Street, [which is no longer a one-way road]. Follow South Street past the central bus station, until it meets Thames Street and Laleham Road at the Thames Lodge / Packhorse Hotel. Turn left here, into Laleham Road, B376, going under the railway, and follow this road for ¾ mile (1 kilometre). Wheatsheaf Lane is on the right, by the traffic island. Staines Town Football Club is less than 100 metres/yards on the left, and there is a reasonable sized car park. Please park on the left half of the car park. (B) Approaching from Sunbury-On-Thames by the A308 The A308 takes you past Fordbridge Roundabout, Ashford, via the Staines By-Pass and onto the Crooked Billet junction. The first exit is the London Road - then follow 3a or 3b as in (A) above. Option (c) FROM EGHAM A30 which becomes the Egham By-Pass at foot of Egham Hill; or FROM WINDSOR / SLOUGH A308 which meets the A30 at Glanty Roundabout. Either go to the M25 junction 13 and follow (A) 2 as above; or head towards the town via The Glanty, the Causeway, over Staines Bridge, Clarence Street. Turn right into Thames Street, which becomes Laleham Road at the railway bridge (where South Street joins from the left). Follow 5b as in (A) above. Option (d) APPROACHING FROM CHERTSEY BY THE A320 This meets the A30 (Causeway) at the Egham Roundabout on the far side of Staines Bridge. Then as (C). Option (e) FROM HOUNSLOW, UXBRIDGE, HAYES, HEATHROW or COLNBROOK The A4 Colnbrook By-Pass / Bath Road meets the Stanwell Moor Road (A3044) near Longford. Head southwards to the Crooked Billet, take the 3rd exit, then follow 3a or 3b per (A) above. 4

CHELSEA LADIES HISTORY Supporters wishing to have a female section to the club founded Chelsea Ladies Football Club in 1992. In June 2004, Chelsea Ladies voted to be taken over and funded by Chelsea FC s Football in the Community department. The club then won promotion as champions from the Southern Division in 2004 05 to the Premier League National Division and have participated at the top level ever since. The club reached the FA Women s Cup final for the first time in 2012, only to lose out to Birmingham City. Emma Hayes took over as manager soon after and the rest, as they say, is history. Having just missed out on the FA Women s Super League 1 title in 2014, finishing second on goal difference, the Ladies became the dominant force in English football. Hayes led her side to the FA Women s Cup final, the first to be held at Wembley Stadium, and the club won its first major trophy thanks to Ji So-Yun s goal in front of 30,000 supporters. The WSL1 title which had been so cruelly taken away on the final day of the previous season finally arrived at Wheatsheaf Park, a stunning 4-0 win over Sunderland clinching the championship in front of a club record crowd of 2,710 supporters. After scoring the most goals and conceding the fewest, the Blues were deserving winners. In a year of firsts, there was also a maiden foray onto the continent for the Women s Champions League. The adventure came to an end at the second hurdle against two-time winners of the tournament Wolfsburg, but there was no doubt Chelsea Ladies belong at the highest level of European club football. 11
