Bolshoi Ballet Academy International Summer Intensive, 2018 AUSTRALIA GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION Class Groups: The teachers and the directors have already made decisions (based on auditions/audition videos) about in which group students are placed. During the first few classes they may revise those decisions and possibly move a student or two if they feel that other group is a better fit. If this happens, it is just to ensure that the student gets the most out of the program this way. Dress Code: For Girls: Skin colored/pink tights, black leotards, black character shoes, black character skirts, ballet slippers, and pointe shoes. For Boys: black tights, white ballet t-shirt, and white ballet shoes, and black character shoes. Bondi Beach Pavilion: THE ADDRESS OF THE STUDIOS: Bondi Pavilion, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Bondi Beach, NSW 2026 Seagull room All dancers in the program - Please arrive by 8:45 am on Tuesday January 2nd for a brief placement class and brief overview. HOUSING INFORMATION: There will be an on site live in chaperone and chaperones to travel with the dancers to and from the studio. Dancers staying at the dormitory will be able to chose stay at Bondi Beach after classes if desired for two hours while a travel chaperone waits to return with them or to return after classes with a chaperone. Students may not leave the housing facility in groups of less than two. Students are limited to a specific geographic area around the housing facility, and are not permitted outside of that area. When students leave the building they must sign out, list their destination and expected return time. Students who fail to follow these and the other rules of the housing facility will be confined to housing after class, except to purchase food and other necessities, for a duration determined by the Head Resident Advisor. Room Assignments - Every effort will be made to accommodate roommate requests, but we cannot guarantee them. If you do not request a roommate, or we cannot accommodate your request, Bolshoi Ballet Academy will attempt to share roommate information at least one week prior to your arrival. In the event of a roommate conflict, Bolshoi Ballet Academy will attempt to resolve any issues, but reserves the right to relocate roommates to another room similar to the room to which they are currently assigned.
BOLSHOI BALLET ACADEMY INSTRUCTORS Irina Pyatkina Bolshoi Ballet Academy Honored Artist of (the) Russian Federation After graduating from Bolshoi Ballet Academy in 1978, Irina Pyatkina was right away invited to join the Bolshoi Ballet Theater. At the Bolshoi Theater she worked with renowned and world famous pedagogues and rehearsal directors such as Galina Ulanova, Marina Kondratieva and Raisa Struchkova. Miss Pyatkina has danced in numerous ballets choreographed by Yuri Grigorovich and Vladimir Vassiliev. During her twenty years of work at the Bolshoi Theater, Miss Pyatkina had become a principal dancer and performed leading roles in such ballets as Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Le Sylphides, Chopeniana, Petrushka, Swan Lake, Don Quhote and Legend of Love. In 1998 Miss Pyatkina graduated from Russian Academy of Theater Arts where she received a highest pedagogy education. After finishing her performing career at the Bolshoi Theater, Miss Pyatkina was invited to join the faculty at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, her alma mater. In 2005 Miss Pyatkina received a title of Master Teacher from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy where she a current faculty member of the classical ballet department. She teaches ballet technique, Pointe and repertoire classes. Miss Pyatkina had taught master classes all over the world during her bright and continuous career.
Ekaterina Trunina Bolshoi Ballet Academy Instructor Ekaterina Trunina was born and raised in Moscow. She had graduated from Bolshoi Ballet Academy in 1999. She had joined the Stanislavsky Ballet Theater where she had become a soloist ballerina and performed with the company until 2008. During her work at the Stanislavsky Theater Ekaterina had performed numerous roles in such ballets as The Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, The Nutcracker, Giselle and Scheherazade. In 2003, Ekaterina had received a Teaching Degree from Bolshoi Ballet Academy Higher Education department and was promoted to a full time professorship at the Bolshoi Academy in 2014. Miss Trunina had traveled extensively to Korea, USA, Italy and Spain as a master teacher for Bolshoi Ballet Academy workshops and master classes.

It must be completed and signed by both the student and a parent if the student is under the age of 18. No parent signature is required for a student 18 or over, but the form MUST be filled out. I authorize my son/daughter to be allowed out alone (without a Bolshoi Ballet Academy staff member) during the daylight hours until 9 PM. I authorize my son/daughter to be allowed out after 9pm with an official Bolshoi Ballet Academy staff member/ra/chaperone. (You must check this box if you plan on allowing your child to attend any extracurricular activities.) I do not authorize my son/daughter to be allowed out after 9PM. MEDICAL I, the undersigned authorize my son / daughter / self (if over 18) to be anesthetized if required by a Hospital Physician and the Bolshoi Ballet Academy is unable to contact me/my parent. Housing Form: I understand that if any of the rules and regulations of the housing facilities are broken by the student, the Head Resident Advisor reserves the right to dismiss the student and send him/her home without refund or recourse. I, (the student), agree to abide by all rules and regulations set in place by the housing facility staff. (REQUIRED) I understand that the The Bolshoi Ballet Academy is not liable for stolen or damaged personal items while staying in a housing facility. (REQUIRED) The Bolshoi Ballet Academy/R.B.I. is not liable or responsible for the negligence of or for the acts of others. Students, parents/legal guardians of minor students and any other person or entity covered by this Agreement hereby agrees that The Bolshoi Ballet Academy/R.B.I. should not be liable for the act of any other person, including but not limited to any roommate, invitee, friend or neighbor of the housing facility residents or The Bolshoi Ballet Academy/R.B.I. staff or Resident Advisor. The student, parent of minor students and/or legal guardian, as well as any other person or entity signing this Agreement, agrees that The Bolshoi Ballet Academy/R.B.I. shall not, and cannot, be held liable for any negligence or acts of these others, including but not limited to any negligence in the placement of the student with a particular host or residence or roommate. This Agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with the Laws of the State of New York. The student and/or parent/guardian of a minor student, or any other entity or person signing this Agreement, hereby agrees to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the State of New York, The Russian Ballet International / Bolshoi Ballet Academy.
