4. CATEGORIES AND WEIGHTDIVISIONS 5. ACCREDITATION AND CONTROL OF NATIONALITY The competitors must be registered by their National Federation in document signed by the President or the Secretary General. Each competitor should check his identity, age and nationality, through its official passport of the country of origin. The natives of the Dominican Republic with a passport or official identity card. 6. REGISTRO EN CPJ All participants and delegates must register for this event in the CPJ Registration System http://system.panamericanjudo.com/. The user and password were provided in a timely manner to the presidents of each federation; even if you had any doubts, please contact the IT Director of CPJ, Fábio Vasconcelos it@panamericanjudo.com. Deadline 1) First registration August 30, 2017 2) Reserve August 30, 2017 3) Final Registration in CPJ

Please note: Individuals without an IJF ID card can only be entered directly into the hotel, if the IJF identification card will be ordered until the end of Accreditation. 7. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS Each delegation shall be allowed to register eight (8) male competitors and eight (8) female competitors; One (1) competitor per category in the official IJF categories and the PJC categories (55kg and 44kg) for a total of sixteen (16) competitors. 8. WEICHING The official weighing athletes will take place on the same day of competition ( See program ) Athletes will be weighted according to the rules of the IJF, underwear, and prior to the official weighing, In this event will also be made the draw for 5%, athletes must present their passport and the respective accreditation for the event in order to verify the identity of the competitor. All athletes must be members of federations affiliated to IJF and the Pan-American Judo Confederation (CPJ ). 9. MODE OF COMPETITION The competition will be conducted according to the latest IJF Rules of Arbitration. Adopted by the Pan American Judo Confederation and the Dominican Judo Federation (FEDOJUDO). * Competition system to be used, Round Robin or Elimination dependent on the number of properly weighted athletes in each division. * Competition Time will be four (4) minutes in Men s and Women s, the female, the Golden Score with no time limit.

10. CONTROL OF JUDOGUI Judogi approved: Competitors must use an IJF-approved judogi from one of the following manufacturers: Greenhill, SFJAM NORIS, DANRHO, MIZUNO, Double D Adidas, HAYAKAWA, Fighting Film, Budo Sport AG, ESSIMO, MATSURU B.V. Control of Judogui: It will be carried out by the Education Commission of the CPJ with a sokuteiki prior to combat. The judogi must have an official sticker APPROVED JUDOGUI Of the IJF with an optical code that can not be falsified. The label will be controlled with an optical lamp. Each of the competition items (jacket, pants and belt) must have an Official IJF label. Back Identification Number: Each competitor is obliged to sew on the back of his judogi a Back Identification Number bearing with his surname and the abbreviation of his National Olympic Committee. The Back Identification Numbers should be fixed horizontally and centered on the back of the judogi. They should be placed at a distance of 3 cm from the base of the neck. The Back Identification Number can only be requested from www.ijfbacknumber.com o www.mybacknumber.com. Advertising: Competitors must wear the dedicated event sponsors of the IJF and organizer on the back of their jacket. Advertising on the judogi must comply with IJF regulations. Refer to the Guidance of Judogi Control Document published on 06.15.2011. National Emblem: Athletes can have their national emblem on the front left side of their jacket within a space of 100cm2. If an athlete does not abide by judogui rules, the coach responsible for the athlete would be suspended for the rest of the day s competition. In case of a repeated offense, the coach would be suspended under the rest of the competition.

Judogi de Reserva: The reserve judogi will be supplied only to replace a broken judogi or a judogi contaminated with blood. This must occur during a combat. 11. SPECIAL RULES FOR WOMEN The female competitors must wear under the jacket either a white Tshirt with short sleeves, Made of non-rigid material, long enough to be worn inside the pants, or a white or almost white leotard with short sleeves. No mark should be visible when the judogi is done up. All other regulations must be followed. 12. TECHNICAL MEETING The technical Meeting will be held on October 27 (See program). 13. ARBITRATION The Arbitration Commission of the CPJ will appoint the arbitrators. The event will be held in accordance with current regulations of the International Judo Federation (IJF), adopted by the Pan American Judo Confederation (CPJ). The use of blue and white judogui is mandatory, without exception, with the regulatory measures. 14. COACH All coaches must comply fully with the Code of Conduct for Coaches Judo. Dress Code Technical Meeting : Suit and tie Elimination rounds : national track suit with long pants or suit with tie. Final: Suit and Tie

15. ANTI DOPING CONTROL Anti-doping control will include in each category: a. To the winner of the category b. To two of the three other medal winners (silver and two bronzes) The draw (for b) will be carried out in accordance with the Anti-Doping Rules and Rules of Sport and Organization of the CPJ. Competitors must report to the Doping Control Station at the latest 60 min after receiving notification form signed, written by the doctor appointed by the CPJ. Competitors must follow the indications that lead them to The check-up station. In this 60-minute period, athletes are allowed participate in the awards ceremony and fulfill their press commitments. They will be constantly accompanied by an official chaperone of the organization from the moment they receive the notification until they reach the Doping Control Station. A person of your choice (team doctor, coach, delegation leader...) can accompany you. The draw is made during the competition before the start of the finals. 16. AWARDS The organizers must provide for their presentation: A certificate of participation for each participant. Medals and diploma: First place: Gold medal and diploma. Second place: Silver medal and diploma. Two third places: Bronze medals and diplomas.

17. TRANSPORT The Organizing Committee will provide participating countries transportations from the International Airport José Francisco Peña Gómez to hotel and from the hotel to the competition venue. 18. LODGING Don Juan Hotel Boca Chica. ( 30 minutes from the competition venue, 10 mins. From airport.)

Hotel Rates (All Included) Prices are per person per night and include accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), transportation from the airport to the hotel to and from the hotel to the place of competition and return. To optimize your accommodation and stay, it is important that you send the number of athletes and members of your delegation before August 30th. The Dominican Federation of Judo does not assume any responsibility for the availability of accommodation and food in case of breach of the deadlines for registration and reservation. Hotel reservations must be made through the Organizing Committee. All delegates registered for an official CPJ event must stay in one of the official hotels suggested by the organizers for a minimum of three (3) nights. If this is not respected you will not be given accreditation.

If rooms must be canceled, please inform the Organizing Committee immediately. Cancellation of rooms can not be done at check-in. Illness, injury or visa problems are not valid reasons for cancellation of the rooms. If the rooms are canceled, the Organizing Committee has the right to charge the participating delegation as follows: Up to 30 days before arrival.- Full refund. From 29 to 10 days before arrival.- 50% refund. from 9 days of arrival.- There is no refund, you must pay 100% of the hotel costs. Any damage to hotel property resulting from the entry of a national delegation will be charged to the National Federation and must be paid in full. 19. TRAINING SPACES The planning and scheduling of the training sessions will be organized taking into consideration the request made by the National Federations in the order of the first request made, the first request served. If you are interested in booking training please send a request for a reservation form to the organizers. 20. FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE All National Federations, officials, coaches and athletes participating in the Judo Qualifying Event for the Caribbean Games must respect and accept the authority of the officials, the Statutes, the Sports and Organization Rules, the Rules of Arbitration, of the PJC, as well as the Anti- Doping rules of the IJF. In accordance with the IJF Rules and Provisions in the Sports and Organization Rules (point 23.8), individuals who are deemed to have acted against the IJF, its principles or purpose shall be subject to suspension or expulsion from the event and / Or cancellation of your accreditation card. 21. VERY IMPORTANT ATTENTION Competitors wearing their white judoguis (without shoes, sandals or stockings) will stand behind the podium in the following order: 2,1,3,3. Each competitor who has won a medal must personally attend the ceremony to receive his or her medal. If a competitor is absent during the awards ceremony without a valid reason, he will lose his right to have the medal. It is strictly forbidden for competitors on the podium to wear national flags or similar identifications other than those regularly represented on the team. Any demonstration of religious, political, personal or commercial signs is prohibited, as well as wearing a visor or any other type of head cover.

22. ANTHEMS AND FLAGS Each National Federation shall provide the moment of arrival and accreditation, the flag of their country ( 1.20 x 1.80 m ) and a CD with the national anthem of your country. (Short version). 23. VISA The Organizing Committee is pleased to help any country with instructions visa. If you need personalized invitation letter for visa purposes please send mail to the Organizing Committee as soon as possible with a list of the participants according to the visa application form with names, passport number, date of birth and positions ( must be submitted with scanned copies of passports.)
