It is the rider s responsibility to listen for announcements. Only class start times are shown, and riders must be ready to start when called by the marshalls. Riders please note: the showjumping course for PC80 classes will be rebuilt and renumbered and will require walking. Catering Food and refreshments will be provided by Albany Pony Club and will be available for purchase through the canteen in the Clubrooms. The Koffee Boost van will also be available for hot drinks and snacks will be available between the hours of 9.30am until 11.00am during the competition. Special Notices Please remove all hay, manure and litter from the arenas, yards and parking areas, and place in designated areas, and not around the trees. For safety purposes, please close the gate to the yard you have used before leaving. Sponsors. Please remember to write and thank our sponsors they really appreciate it. And finally, please be aware that the Albany Equestrian Centre accepts no liability for the loss of, or damage to, vehicles, or any other goods or articles, and does not offer any personal insurance to riders.
RULES FOR THIS EVENT Rules. This event will be run in accordance with the PCAWA Eventing Rules 2017 as varied in the Schedule. Entering this event constitutes implicit knowledge and acceptance of these rules, as modified in this Schedule. A completed entry acknowledges understanding and acceptance of all Conditions of Entry. Unauthorised Assistance. Outside assistance is forbidden under penalty of elimination. Any intervention by a third party, whether solicited or not, with the object of facilitating the task of the competitor or of helping the horse, is considered unauthorised assistance and the competitor is liable to be eliminated. Similarly, it is forbidden for a competitor to join or accept a lead from another competitor. It is forbidden for a jump judge or official to call back or assist a competitor by directions, or rectify an error of course. Catching a loose horse, helping a rider to adjust his/her saddlery is permitted. Hats, whips and spectacles may be handed to competitors without penalty. In such cases, the course must be resumed at the exact spot at which it was interrupted. Each case of unauthorised assistance will be decided by the Technical Delegate. Competitors who are eliminated during the cross-country phase must leave the course immediately at a walk. Gear Checking. For riders competing as Pony Club members, PCWA Gear Checking Manual requirements apply, otherwise gear is to be in accordance with EA Eventing Rules. Stallions. Stallions are not permitted for riders competing as Pony Club members. Dogs. Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and are not permitted on the cross-country course. If complaints are made regarding an unruly dog the Organising Committee may require the dog to be removed from the event. Disclaimer of Liability. Neither the Organising Committee, EA nor the Albany Equestrian Centre accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, grooms, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. By submitting an entry form for this event, all riders accept the Dangerous Activity Acknowledgement. Reservation of Right. The Organiser reserves the right: To cancel any class or event; To divide any class; To transfer competitors between sections of a class; To alter the advertised times; To refuse any entry, with or without stating the reason.
