Became England s bowling coach in September 2007, a role that he held until being appointed as West Indies coach. Played two Tests and 15 ODIs for West Indies between 1995 and 1999 as a fast bowler and useful lower-order hitter. Performed the rare feat of taking 10 wickets in an innings in first-class cricket when he took 10-47 for Durham v Hampshire at Chester-le-Street in 2007. Scored 5 604 runs and took 659 wickets in his first-class career, playing domestically in England and South Africa as well as for his native Barbados. Shivnarine Chanderpaul DOB: 18/08/74 Born: Demerara, Guyana Batting/Bowling Style: LHB/LB Is one of three West Indians to have scored 8 000 ODIs and averages over 41 in this form of the game. Hit one of the fastest Test centuries ever off just 69 balls against Australia at Georgetown in 2003. Was named International Cricketer of the Year at the LG ICC Awards in 2008. Has played for Durham since 2007, helping them win the County Championship for the past two years. Scored 102 not out off 79 balls for Guyana v Barbados at Berbice in a limited overs match in October last year. Hit a six off the final ball of the Twenty20 series against Trinidad and Tobago in 2006 to help Guyana to win the million dollar prize money. Nikita Miller DOB: 16/05/82 Born: St Elizabeth, Jamaica Batting/Bowling Style: RHB/SLA In the recent ODI series against Zimbabwe he took seven wickets at an average of 17.57 and tidy economy rate of 3.98, including a career best of 4-43 at Providence. Somewhat surprisingly, he was West Indies leading run-scorer at ICC CT 2009, with 72 including 51 against Pakistan and conceded just 3.34 runs per over in the tournament. Had match figures of 10-121 to help Jamaica win the final of the Inter-island Cup in 2008 against Trinidad and Tobago. In first-class cricket he has conceded below two runs per over while taking his wickets at an average of 18. Spectacularly bowled Shane Watson with the first ball of the match when West Indies met Australia at Johannesburg during ICC CT 2009. Took 13 wickets at an average of 17.61 in his first Test series against Bangladesh last year, including 6-48 at St George s. Took eight wickets at an average of 21.25 for West Indies at ICC U19 CWC 2006 in Sri Lanka. DOB: 20/12/83 Born: Micond, St Lucia Batting/Bowling Style: RHB/RMF Darren Sammy Is one of only three bowlers in T20 Internationals matches to take five wickets in a match with 5-26 against Zimbabwe at Port-of-Spain this year. Became the first West Indian to take a hat-trick in an ODI, which he did against Australia in Mumbai during ICC CT 2006. Took 5-11 to help bowl England out for 51 in a Test at Kingston in 2009.
