The Minutes f the Meeting held n tr,e 0th February 7 were apprved as minuted and signed as being a true recrd by the Chairman. 3. Arising frm the minutes it was agreed that any club nt paying their Annual Subscriptins wuld nt be entered inl the Leagues, Cup r any Cmpetitins, mnies must be received with the entry frms, this has t be enfrced as sme clubs still have nt paid their 7 subscriptins. 4. The Chairman cngratulated Sufflk n winning the Eastern Cunties League fr the nd year running. The Secretary read ut crrespndence frm Martlesham, they wuld like t see the Je Rice Cup and Pl"te cmpetitin spread ver the whle year and nt cnfined t the Winter Seasn. This was discussed by the Cmmittee and as tw weeks every mnth spread ver the winter perid was designated fr that purpse and felt it shuld stay as it is. Tattingstne had written expressing their cncern abut n trial ends befre a match, they felt it lacked a relaxed feeling befre a match. A letter had been received frm Hlywells High Schl regarding the state f the SChl after Cmpetitins, this was widely discussed and all said that the premises were cleaned and all equipment put back in their respective places.

. The Press Officer handed ut results f the Winter League prgramme. (See enclsed) a) The fllwing reprt was read ut by Jhn Hayward Sufflk Junir Champinship. Held at Needham Market Cmmunity Centre n March nd and althugh entries were dwn the standard f bwling was as high as ever. After the keenly cntested fur game Rund Rbin stage the Quarter Finalists were Jnathan Pulham (Brckley), Stuart Ward, (Elmsett), Damian Danbrwski and Mark Wds (New Astley),Daniel Cusins (Bildestn and three players wh have figured prminently Matthew Crane (Thrpness), Rachel Mittell (Great Blakenham) and Current Champin Eddie Simpsn (Elrnsett), Rachel Mittell the~ put ut Matthew Crane 5-3 befre lsing - t an inspired Jnathan Pulham in the semis Witfl Eddie Simpsn getting his secnd final appearance at the exper.se f prmising newcmer Daniel Cusins 7-3. Experience tld in the final with Eddie clsing ut Jna~hD 0- t becme nly the secnd Junir t rel~n the title. His remarkable year cntinues, with partner Jeremy Brwn he hlds the Senir Pairs Sufflk ~itle. T b) The Furs Champinships were held at Hlywells High Schl n S~~day th March, t~e entry was dw~ t ~~y 30 teams, nce again a very high standard f bwli~g went n t~r~ghut the day with ~he final between Great Blakep.r'dmB (Dt Andrews, Stan Andrews, Trevr Cain and Steven Cai n) and Tuddenham St Martin B (Dave Lng, Kevin Pstma, Jim Hillman and Simn Rees). Tuddenham St Martin cming ut the winners. Once again we must say thankyu t all wh prepared the hall and fr clearing up afterwards. c) Sunday th May is League and Cup Finals Day at Needham Market. It was agreed that the Je Rice Cup and the Chairman's Plate shuld start at.30 a.m. this year, an hur earlier than previus years, fllwed by the League Finals. All are welcme t this event. 7. The Treasurer reprted that ur balance at 7th April the Cmmunity l'.ccunt std at,300. and the Business Premium at 35.4.. Cunty Captain's reprt. Tny Webber reprted that Sufflk had wn the Eastern Cunties League fr nd year running, he thanked everyne fr their dedicatin and team spirit thrughut the seasn, and hpe they culd make it 3 in a rw.

Sufflk have a friendly against Durham at Risby n 4th and 5th June. The next Sufflk Trials Day is n Sunday th Octber. Ntificatin has been received frm the Eastern Cunties that their A.G.M. is at Exning n Thursday 5th June,7. 0. Suttlk has been invited t submit teams tr a Champin f Champins turnament at Braintree n June nd, we hpe that ur recent Champins frm the Singles, Pairs and Furs will be entering. The English Carpet Bwls Assciatin are hlding a Champin f Champins Cmpetitin in Dncaster, this t be held n Saturday and Sunday 7th and th June 7. Each Member Cunty is invited t take a team t 0 players t this cmpetitin-the team t cmprise a rink, a triple, a pair and a single. The selectin f the 0 players is at the discretin f each individual Cunty Assciatin.. It ",,73 agreed that a sub Crrnnittee shuld be set up t lk at future venues fr ur Sufflk Cmpetitins, it was suggested that it wuld be pssible t hld these n a Rund Rbin basis, and held evenly distributed between East and West, and meeting tgether fr the final.
