ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 01 OPENING THE BOX Cut the strps using wire cutters or ox cutter. Just mke sure tht you do not dmge the BikeBox. Now you cn pull out the flps nd open the BikeBox. 02 UNPACKING THE WHEELS 03 UNPACKING THE FRAME Lift the wheels upwrds out of the ox. Plce the wheels in sfe plce on their side. Now you cn pull your ike upwrds out of the BikeBox. Plce the frme on the front/rer xle stnd. Mke sure the ike is stnding properly!

eng 04 INSTALLING THE HANDLEBAR c e d f! Remove the hndler clmp on the stem y removing ll screws using n Allen wrench (4 mm Allen wrench). Insert the hndler. c Mount the hndler on the stem. (4 mm Allen wrench) d Tighten the screws grdully with only one turn per screw in n X pttern. This is the only wy to chieve even clmping of the hndler in the stem. e Adhere to the guidelines of the mnufcturer of the stem nd/or hndler when torquing the screws. Mke sure tht the clmp gp is even nd tht the hndler is centered nd inserted correctly. The djustment lines will help you with this. f Instlling cron hndlers requires gret cre nd precision. Do not exceed the specified torque under ny circumstnces. The stem cnnot hve ny shrp edges or ridges. Only cron ssemly pste my e used. CAUTION: During ssemly, plese dhere to the torque specifictions of the mnufcturers: KORE Repute 5Nm Renthl Apex 5Nm RceFce Atls 8,4-9,6Nm Renthl Duo 5Nm RceFce Direct Mount 9Nm YT Industries Direct Mount 5Nm Renthl Integr/Integr II: Fork ridge screws (lrge) 10Nm; Hndler clmp screws (smll) 6Nm (Lst updted 2015)

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 05 REMOVE WHEELS FROM PACKAGING Cut the cle ties using wire cutters nd remove the crdord pckging. 06 INSTALLING THE REAR DERAILLEUR c d Open the rer derilleur cge y holding the derilleur ody with one hnd, nd turning the cge forwrd with your other hnd. The rer derilleur cge is locked y pressing nd holding the smll utton with the lock symol. The rer derilleur will then sty open.! c Mount the derilleur using the Torx T25 (for 1x11) or 5 mm Allen wrench (for 2x10) on the derilleur hnger. Plese mke sure the olt is perpendiculr to the hnger to void dmging the thred. d Tighten the rer derilleur y hnd to the mnufcturer s torque spec. CAUTION: During ssemly, plese dhere to the torque specifictions of the mnufcturers: 8-10 Nm

eng 07 Lift the frme out of the rer stnd. Plce the rer stnd upright... so tht you cn plce the frme on it gin s pictured (this wy, the rer wheel cn e inserted into the rer dropouts without hving to turn the icycle upside down). INSERTING THE REAR WHEEL & ASSEMBLY STAND INSTRUCTIONS c e d f c Remove the rer xle y unscrewing it with the lever on the left side. Remove the trnsport lock from the xle. d Remove the pd spcer from the cliper y pulling it stright downwrds. Store the spcer in secure loction s it cn e used to prevent the rkes engging nd pushing the rke pds out when trnsporting the ike without its wheels. e Plce the rer wheel into the frme nd plce the chin on the smllest cog. f The chin must e on the smllest cog (Plese shift the derilleur into the smllest ger y using the shifter). Check tht the rer wheel is inserted correctly nd tht the rke rotor sits etween the rke pds. If everything is inserted correctly, the rer skewer cn e reinserted. Tighten the skewer very firmly y hnd. Relese the derilleur cge y rotting it forwrds until the lock utton disengges.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 08 INTERMEDIATE STATE 09A If your ike looks like the imge, then you hve done everything correctly so fr. Well done! Now, remove the front xle stnd. Keep your ike upright. If your ike is plced upside down, the setpost remote my ecome dmged.

eng INSERTING THE FRONT WHEEL - ROCKSHOX PIKE e d c Remove the pd spcer from the front rke cliper. Store the spcer in secure loction s it cn e used to prevent the rkes engging nd pushing the rke pds out when trnsporting the ike without its wheels. c Remove the front xle y opening the quick relese lever nd unscrewing it. d Now insert the front wheel in the fork dropouts. Ensure tht the hu is sitting correctly in the dropouts. Ensure tht the rke rotor in sits etween the rke pds. Now the front xle cn e inserted. e Slide the lightly gresed xle through the hu until the thred in the dropout end engges the opposite dropout nd tighten the xle. Do not use ny tools to increse the leverge. Close the lever y hnd so tht it is prllel to the stnchions.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 09 B Open the quick relese lever. Open the folding lever. INSERTING THE FRONT WHEEL - BOS DEVILLE c e d f c Remove the pd spcer from the front rke cliper. Store the spcer in secure loction s it cn e used to prevent the rkes engging nd pushing the rke pds out when trnsporting the ike without its wheels. d Now insert the front wheel in the fork dropouts. Ensure tht the hu is sitting correctly in the dropouts. Ensure tht the rke rotor sits etween the rke pds. e Now the front xle cn e inserted. f Slide the lightly gresed xle through the hu until the thred in the dropout end engges the opposite dropout nd tighten the skewer. Do not use ny tools to increse the leverge.

eng 10 g Close the folding lever until it snps in plce. h Close the quick relese nd ensure tht the lever cn e closed y hnd without much effort. Clmping force cn e djusted using 5 mm Allen wrench. INSTALLING PEDALS g h Plce the pedl wsher on the pedl xle. Apply sufficient grese to the pedl thred. Excess grese cn e wiped wy fter the pedls hve een instlled. c c Instll the pedls using n Allen wrench (the size will vry y pedl mnufcturer). The drive side pedl hs stndrd threding nd the non-drive side pedl hs reverse threding. Therefore, the non-drive side pedl is tightened y screwing it in counterclockwise. Tighten the pedls using the torque wrench. Plese note the torque specifictions of the mnufcturer here s well.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 11 COCKPIT ADJUSTMENTS 12 In the stndrd setting, the rke levers form stright line with cks of your hnds nd your forerms when you ly your fingers cross them. In order to djust/remove the right hnd rke lever, the shifter needs to e removed. Loosen the shifter retining screw y using Torx T25. Now the clmp screw of the rke lever cn e ccessed from elow nd loosened. Once the rke lever is correctly positioned, the shifter cn e reinstlled. Torque to 2.5 Nm. You re finished! Congrtultions! You re ike is now fully ssemled. Plese note the following informtion for djusting your ike. FULLY ASSEMBLED BIKE

Adjustments fter ssemly eng ADJUSTING THE SUSPENSION ELEMENTS (REAR SHOCK AND SUSPENSION FORK) The suspension elements tht we use llow for vriety of djustments. When mking djustments, plese note the detiled instructions of the mnufcturer of the suspension elements. You cn find up-to-dte informtion on their wesites, respectively: BOS: http://www.osmt.com RockShox: https://www.srm.com/de/rockshox CAUTION!! NEVER OPERATE YOUR BICYCLE WITH INSUFFICIENT OR EXCESS AIR PRESSURE! THIS COULD RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE FORK OR SHOCKS. BASIC SETTINGS The weight of the rider nd his position on the icycle determine the djustment criteri for the rer shock nd suspension fork. When sitting on the ike, the suspension will compress to certin degree the so-clled sg. Sg should e etween 25% nd 30% for Enduro ikes, etween 30% nd 40% for Downhill ikes, nd etween 10% nd 20% for Dirt ikes. The sg vlue tht corresponds to your riding style is est determined with few test rides. Test rides nd personl preferences will determine the settings of the compression nd reound speeds of the suspension elements. CAUTION!! Plese note: Your ike s hndling is influenced with ech nd every djustment to the suspension elements therefore, plese e creful on your first test rides to void flls nd crshes. Avoid ny djustments tht could led to the suspension elements frequently ottoming out. They will thnk you with long service life. Verify once gin tht ll screws re tightened to the correct torque. The tle on pge 27 gives you n overview of ll torque specifictions. Our ikes re equipped with modern disc rke systems with exceptionl rking performnce. In ddition, the rking performnce increses fter short rek-in period. Try to get used to the rking response nd how it differs when riding over vrious surfces. Position the rke levers t your fingertips so tht they cn e pulled forcefully without excessive effort. The sme pplies to the shifters. Shift smoothly nd without pplying too much pressure to the pedls. This will help protect your drive trin components. Plese choose sfe nd fmilir terrin for your initil test nd trining rides. You cn find ll you need to know out your ike in our SAFETY FIRST mnul s well. Fmilirize yourself with the ike mnul efore getting on your ike the first time. BEFORE EACH RIDE By nture, mountin ikes re plced under lot of strin. The components of the ike rect differently to stresses, from wer nd ter to mteril ftigue. Individul components my fil without wrning. Plese check your ike regulrly for signs of dmge nd/or hve your ike periodiclly inspected. CHECK BEFORE EVERY RIDE: - tht the setpost nd wheels re firmly secured in the frme nd fork - tht the wheels spin freely - the ir pressure in the tires, the tension of the spokes nd the hu ering ply - the rke function - signs of mteril ftigue (deformtions, frctures, crcks, signs of impct, etc.) - ll dditionl components for stility nd opertionl sfety - the required torques for ll screws Do not ride even if only one of the possile defects is present. CAUTION!! Virtions tht occur when riding your mountin ike cn led to screws loosening (even for screws with thredlocker dhesive)! IN THE EVENT OF A FALL Flls plce lot of strin on your ike s mteril nd components. Therefore, efore you continue on your ride, check your ike for dmge nd impired functions (see Check Before Every Ride ). Do not continue your ride even if only one of the possile defects is present. CARE AND SERVICE INTERVALS: Only regulr inspections, cre nd mintennce, immedite professionl repir, nd the replcement of dmged components cn gurntee the sfe function of your ike over the long term. If you do not possess the necessry specilist knowledge or tools to crry out the required work yourself, trip to the workshop is essentil. For guidnce, we hve prepred some mintennce informtion: Initil inspection, depending on how hrd you ride, fter 5 to 15 hours of opertion. This includes: - Checking the torques on ll screws nd nuts nd tightening them if necessry - Chnging the length of the shifter cle y correcting the tension vi djustment (rrel djuster on the shifter) - Checking the spoke tension on the wheels nd tht the wheels re true nd djusting spoke tension if necessry - Checking the hedset prelod MONTHLY INSPECTIONS: - Checking the profile height nd sidewlls of the tires. Replcing worn or wshed out tires - Mesuring the strength of the disc rke pds. Replcing the rke pds if necessry (plese note the mnufcturer specifictions) - Checking the rking system for leks. The use of cron (cron fier reinforced plstic / CFRP) mkes it possile for us to produce high-performnce products for our customers. Since these components nd frme elements cn e sensitive nd delicte under certin conditions, there is risk of reks which could led to ccidents nd property dmge in the event of improper use, ssemly errors or poor mintennce nd cre. Tht is why eing knowledgele out this mteril is importnt for enjoying cron frme in the long term. When these products re overstressed, no lsting deformtions re visile even though the inner structure could e dmged. In ddition, rock impcts or messy flls involving impcts on edges cn result in invisile dmges nd/or delmintion (= cron lyers dissolve) of the cron mteril. For these resons, n element or frme mde of CFRP cn fil without perceptile wrning.. CONTACT YT INDUSTRIES IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU HAVE A FALL! Py ttention if your cron frme mkes unusul snpping noises. This could e sign of n impending mteril defect. If this occurs, stop using the ike immeditely. IF THE FOLLOWING OCCURS, IT IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL TO HAVE THE FRAME INSPECTED BY YT INDUSTRIES: After fll Other mjor mechnicl stresses Unusul noises from the frme (e.g. snpping sounds) INFORMATION ON FRAME CONSTRUCTION The mnufcture of these high-end products is done y hnd. This cn led to differences in the finish which re not cuse for complint. HOW TO CORRECTLY HANDLE YOUR CARBON FRAME: Generl informtion: Under no circumstnces should you instll rings, screw connections, clmps or other elements which exert mechnicl forces on the cron tue. Never clmp the cron tue or cron set post of your ike on the gripping jws of work stnd or ike rck. Be creful when using U-locks under certin circumstnces, they cn cuse dmge to your frme. Set cle clmp / set post: The prescried tightening torque of the set cle clmp olt is 5 Nm. The set post must not e rued or otherwise mechniclly stressed. The set post nd set tue my not e luricted. Only cron ssemly pste cn e used. Aluminum set posts my only e instlled when cron ssemly pste is used. The set clmp must not e closed when the set post hs een removed. Cron Hndler: Instlling cron hndlers requires gret cre nd precision. Do not exceed the specified torque under ny circumstnces nd mke sure tht the stem does not hve ny shrp edges or ridges. Plese note the prescried tightening torque of the stem mnufcturer. Cron hndlers cn only e instlled using cron ssemly pste. If you would like to shorten the hndler, note the specifictions of the mnufcturer or contct us directly. Rer wheel xle: To prevent dmges to the set stys, the rer wheel xle must never e completely closed if the wheel is not in the frme. Trnsport: You must e prticulrly creful when trnsporting ikes with cron frmes: Protect the frme in prticulr from contct with other prts (use covers, etc.). Do not use trnsport fittings which use clmping elements. Clmping forces could dmge the frme structure. Do not plce ny ojects on the frme. Mke sure the ike cnnot slide round during trnsport. Never trnsport without rer wheel or rer section trnsport lock ssemled. CARE INFORMATION: Your cron frme needs regulr cre. Common pint cre products with or without silicon dditives nd cold to lukewrm wter re suitle for clening. You cn dd common cleners with norml dditives to the cold to lukewrm wter. All solvents must e voided: Alcohols (e.g. ethnol or isopropnol) Hot wter with lkline dditives Do not clen with stem jets or high-pressure cleners Check whether your frme hs externl dmge t regulr intervls (e.g. during mintennce): Crcks Pint dmges Deformtion (ulges, etc.) Discolortion SURFACE PROTECTION: YT Industries cron frmes re equipped with protective foils or protectors mde of polymide or polyurethne t points which re exposed to prticulr stress. Other points could form due to different ppliction res nd conditions (e.g. wering knee protectors). These res must e protected ginst dmge or rsions with dditionl protective foils. Plese check t regulr intervls whether the protective foils re still functionl. We recommend replcing the protective foil round tension points once yer. IF NO WHEEL INSTALLED KEEP REAR WHEEL AXLE LOOSE! USE TRANSPORT LOCK!! CHECK PROTECTION FOILS REGULARLY!
