Introduction FIA The New Beginning of the Motor Sports FIA established the FIA Drifting Working Group in 2015. After various discussions, FIA assembled a regulation of word wide drift competition. To commemorate this, in 2017 FIA decided to hold the world s first Intercontinental Drifting Cup in Japan, which is the birthplace of drift competition. In the FIA, we are considering expanding the base of motor sports, also training of drivers, teams and traffic safety enlightenment strongly by making a new category called drift. We are looking forward for your application and hope for further expansion of the automobile culture. 4

Competition Competition Format The competition is split in to Leg 1 and 2 to allow participants to compete over two days. The champion is decided by combining scores from both Races. Competition Judgement Judge the driving skill and rank the order by globally equal judgement criteria based on FIA drifting guideline. Use a judging assist equipment because FIA Intercontinental Drifting Cup is the highest category of drifting. Cultivate the official judgements before the competition. Requirements Eligibility for entry DOCUMENTS PARTICIPATION TERMS Drivers will be evaluated by the FIA, and detailed information on past achievements may be requested Priority will be given to those having achieved third place or higher in a national drift series Once the applications process has closed, a selection committee will decide the successful candidates Drivers must have international driver license of at least D1 (FIA license {FIA I.S.C. -Appendix-L art.2.7}) issued by an ASN http://www.fia.com/regulation/category/123 The cars must conform to the latest FIA safety guidelines. Technical and sporting regulations for the FIA IDC will be released on 15 July, subject to approval of the World Motor Sport Council *Candidates will be contacted directly by the promoter regarding their applications.
