The course will consist of 10 single fences. The bell will sound to start your round. Competitors will be permitted no more than two minutes per round. Competitor Information cont Pony of the Year Show Membership Membership to Pony of the Year is DIFFERENT to membership of Bury Farm Equestrian Club All riders that compete at Pony of the Year Show must become yearly members of POYS. Membership is charged @ 35 for one rider or 70 for two riders or more from the same family. It is a rule of entry that membership must be paid in full at the time of entry. Membership monies will be used towards bonus prizes in every class at POYS 2016 Refunds Policy for 2016 - Membership, stable costs & hook up are non-refundable after Sunday 13 th March 2016 UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. - Entry fees will only be refunded if withdrawals are received by email to fiona@buryfarmestates.co.uk before Sunday 13 th March 2016 and must be accompanied by a veterinary/doctor s certificate After this date all refunds will be made as per BS Rules. A 50 surcharge will be added to the amount of any money left owing at the end of show ANY PRIZE MONEY NOT COLLECTED BY THE END OF THE SHOW WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE BEEN FORFEITED. NO PRIZE MONEY WILL BE SENT OUT OR ISSUED AFTER THE SHOW STABLING/HOOK UP FOR POYS 2016 Stables costs - 95/pony/show + 5 Muck Removal Fee Per Stable - Stable costs includes the nights of 24 th, 25 th, 26 th, 27 th & 28 th March 2016 - Stables must be pre booked on the online entry system. - Stables are available from 9am on Thursday 24 th March 2016 - Any damage caused to the stables will be charged to the rider s account - Permanent and Dome stables are allocated to our Sponsors/VIP s and at the organiser s discretion. - NO Hookup OR Stable bookings will be accepted without entries. - Stables are non-transferrable and may not be sold on to any third party and may only be used by the person booking - Permanent Stables are bedded on Shavings. - No other stabling requests can be accommodated or guaranteed. Electric Hook up costs - 90/hookup/show - Hook up must be pre booked on the online entry system. - There is a limited number of hook up s and we do not guarantee unless they are booked by Monday 14 th March 2016 Straw, Shavings, Hay and Haylage - ONLY - All shavings, hay and haylage can be ordered on arrival at the Stable Managers. - Ad lib straw will be available free of charge - All shavings, hay and haylage must be paid for on arrival at the Stable Managers IN CASH. - There is NO facility for pre ordering. - Shavings - 9.00/bale - Haylage - 9.00/bale - Hay - 9.00/bale Main Arena Paddocks Café, Restaurant & Bar: Arrival Meals on Thursday 24 th available from 9am to 9pm in the Indoor Café. Breakfast will be available from 1 hour before competitions start; this will be in the Indoor Cafe. Hot & Cold food will be available throughout the day in the Indoor Cafeteria. 2016 CLASSES Pony & Rider Combinations Can Only Compete In ONE Section Ponies may only compete in two different Categories if both riders are siblings. There is no qualification for entry to POYS classes. However, subject to the overriding eligibility conditions, a place will be reserved in the U11 Section for riders who have achieved 4 double clears at the Premier shows in the current calendar year. Junior Riders are not eligible to compete in classes above 90cms in height before the calendar year their 8th Birthday is reached. PONY OF THE YEAR SHOW 11 & UNDER CHAMPIONSHIP (Entry Code 1000) BLOCK ENTRY FEE - 75 For registered ponies not exceeding 138cms to be ridden by Junior Members aged 11 or under on 1st January in the Current calendar year. Restricted to pony/rider combinations that have never competed at HOYS or RIHS and/or Winter Second Rounds. Riders competing in the 128cm/138cm/JC or JA, sections are not eligible for this class. QUALIFIERS DAY 1 & 2 (Classes 2 & 16): Table A6 Speed 325mpm All double clears will be placed equal first. Fences not to exceed 90cm. All double clears qualify for the final Prizes 50, 35, 30, 25, 23, 20, 18.50, 18.50 In the event of equality prize money is divided. A prize for the best riding style will also be awarded. FINAL(Class 23): Open to Qualified Combinations. Table A7, Speed 325mpm Fences not to exceed 90cm in the first round. Prizes: 160, 100, 65, 45, 38, 38, 38, 38 CLASSIC(Class 33): Open to eligible combinations that have not qualified or opt not to jump in their respective Grand Prix. Table A6. Speed 325mpm, Height not to exceed 90cm in the first phase. All double clears will be placed equal. Competitors who have not reached the age of 10 years before 1 January in the current year are eligible to compete. The competition will take place over two rounds on Sunday 27 th March 2016. Judging will be undertaken by two British Showjumping accredited trainers. The competitor with the best score over two rounds, taking into account faults and style marks, will be the overall winner. The top 6 competitors will be required to go forward to the Indoor International Arena for the final result on the evening of Sunday 27 th March 2016. Rosettes will be awarded to the top 6.

Pony of the Year Show Qualification Rules Substitutions before the start of the show can be made to either Pony/Horse or the Rider BUT NOT BOTH as this would be WD. Substitutions of pony or rider after the first qualifier in each category will mean that the new combination compete HC for the remainder of the show but may not jump in the Final and would in the Classic. Grand Prix Qualifying Classes: The pony/rider combination must have competed in at least one of the championship qualifying classes to be eligible for the Grand Prix or POYS Classic of their Section. Pony of the Year Grand Prix : RIDERS ARE PERMITTED TO JUMP UP TO 2 PONIES IN THE INTRO, NOVICE, INTERMADIATE & U11. ALL REMAINING CLASSES RIDERS ARE PERMITTED TO JUMP UP TO 3 PONIES/HORSES U11: Qualification is from one of the two Grand Prix Qualifying classes in the same Section. All double clears will automatically qualify. 128cm, 138cm & JA CHAMPIONSHIP: To qualify for the final combinations must start in both of the two qualifying rounds. ALL REMAING SECTIONS: (PINT, NOV, INT, CHILDREN & HORSES & JC) Qualification is from one of the two Grand Prix Qualifying classes in the same Section. 20 will qualify from day 1 and 20 more from day 2, disregarding those already qualified. POYS Classic Classes: These are open to all Pony/Rider combinations in their section that have not qualified for or opt not to jump in their respective Grand Prix classes. PLEASE NOTE: It will be assumed that all competitors that qualify for their respective Grand Prix will compete NO DECLARATION IS NECESSARY Should you opt not to jump in the Grand Prix the secretary must be informed within 1 hour of the conclusion of the qualifying class. GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. The Show Organiser referred to in these Rules and Regulations shall hereinafter mean Bury Farm Equestrian Club. The Pony of the Year Show will hereinafter be referred to as the Show. 2. All ponies and horses must be registered with the British Showjumping. 3. The Show, Show Organiser, Volunteer and Officials do not accept liability for any accident, damage, injury, theft or illness to horses, riders, owners, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever how so ever caused. 4. In each of the 11 & Under, Pony Introductory and Pony Novice Sections, Championship Qualifying class competitors may qualify for the Pony of the Year Grand Prix. Automatic qualifiers are as stated in the Schedule. At the discretion of the Organising Committee, additional qualifiers may be nominated in POYS classes. Qualifiers will be confirmed, following the completion of all qualifying classes, via the start lists. Competitors who do not qualify will instead compete in the POYS Classic in that Section. 5. The Show Organiser retains as its absolute discretion the right to decline or exclude or remove any person or animal from the show or future shows or return any entry fee without being required to assign reason or being liable for any compensation. 6. Anyone found damaging property or being a nuisance will face immediate expulsion from the show and may be reported to British Showjumping. All entry fees will be forfeited. Parents must accept responsibility for their children. Any damage must be paid for. ALL entries and associated fees along with any prize money and prizes in kind will be forfeited. 7. Underage Drinking will not be tolerated under any circumstances and in the event that this is reported to or discovered by the show organiser the child and anyone responsible and associated for this will be sent home immediately and ALL entries and associated fees along with any prize money and prizes in kind will be forfeited. 8. Membership and Entries will not be accepted without payment in full. Membership and stable costs are non-refundable. Entry fees will only be refunded if withdrawals are received before 19 TH March and must be accompanied by a veterinary/doctor s certificate. 9. Competitions The Show Organiser reserves the right to cancel, add to, or amend any of the competitions, as they think fit, with the approval of the British Showjumping. 10. Smoking Smoking is not permitted within any of the showground buildings or stables. 11. Collecting Ring All warming up must be done in the designated Collecting Rings provided. Persons found abusing horses on the showground may be asked to leave. 12. Refund of Entry and Stable Fees Refunds will only be in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79.5.1. Any cancellations made after the close of Entry will be charged the full rate for any Stable Booking, Membership & Hook Up 13. Stables are non-transferrable and may not be sold on to any third party and may only be used by the person booking. 14. Cheques are NOT accepted. 15. Vehicles The Show Organiser reserves the right to remove any vehicle which is obstructing any access to or from the ground even if locked and unattended. The Show Organiser will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage occasioned by such removal. 16. Dogs Dogs are permitted in the Lorry Park and car park only. They must be kept under control at all times. If, in the opinion of the Show Organiser, any person fails to control their dog/s they may be asked to leave the Showground. 17. Prize Giving The Show organiser reserves the right to withhold prizes if competitors do not attend the Official Prize Giving. 18. Objections Objection should be made in writing in accordance to British Showjumping Rule 198. Two Show Stewards will be appointed to the Show in accordance to Rule 96.2 19. Official Photographs Any photographs taken at the Championship by the Official Photographer may be used by the Show Organiser for promotional purposes. 20. First Aid A total of 15 for the show will be charged towards medical cover during the hours of competition. 21. Vaccination Certificate All horses at the show must have a current and valid certificate of vaccination against Equine Influenza. There will be random checking of certificates and any horse found without a valid certificate will be asked to leave the show ground 22. Stallions No person shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorized agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any class without taking adequate precautions to ensure other persons are not put at risk of injury. British Showjumping Rules 82.19 & 102.13 applicable. 23. Close of Entries Entries will close on the official closing date. Please read carefully the General Rules and Regulations. Any person coming to the show or involved in any aspect of the event is deemed bound by the General Rules & Regulations.
