Siminoff Temple, Union City Constitution 13 July 2013 The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons in California was opened by Grand High Priest Gary W. Spriggs, KYGCH, at 2:10 pm for the Constitution and Installation of Officers for Siminoff Daylight Royal Arch Chapter No. 163. The pledge of allegiance to the flag of our country was led by the Grand High Priest. In addition to the Grand High Priest, the Constitution and Installation Officers included: R.E.C. John D. Humphreys, KYCH, Grand King, R.E.C. Steven R. Goad, Grand Scribe, E.C. Richard A. Wilson, KYCH, Grand Chaplain North, E.C. Billie Joe McCuiston, KYCH, Deputy Grand Lecturer, M.E.C. Phillip A. Hardiman, KYGCH, PGHP, and E.C. Robert A. L. Whitfield, KYGCH, MIPGM see attached Program. There were approximately one hundred in attendance in addition to the Royal Arch Officers. The Grand Chapter was closed after the Constitution and a Special Convocation of Siminoff Daylight Royal Arch Chapter No. 163 for the purpose of Installation of Officers was opened by simple declaration by M.E. Spriggs, at 2:20 pm with the Officers and Companions as listed in the Sentinel s Register. He then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Nation s Flag. Kennedy Sentinel: Nunzio Napoli Following the Installation the Grand High Priest closed the Convocation in Ample Form. E. C. Robert A. L. Whitfield, Inspector, introduced heads of many Masonic organizations.
There followed a procession of 15 Royal Arch Banners, beginning with California No. 1 (1854), Nevada 6 (1855). Howard 14 (1856). Delta 27 (1861), Oakland 36 (1868). Solano 43 (1872). Woodland 46 (1873). Signet 57 (1881). Riverside 67 (1886). Kern Valley 75 (1893), Palo Alto 93 (1906). King Solomon s 95 (1906). Norris C. Viles 153 (1959), and ending with Kern River 162 (1984) and Siminoff Daylight 163 (2013). High Priest Fentum Thanked the Constitution Officers and guests, and introduced the wives of the newly installed Siminoff Chapter officers. He then presented Honorary Lifetime Membership Certificates to M.E. Spriggs and M.E. Robert Wright. The High Priest and his wife also presented gifts to the Grand High Priest for Royal Arch Research Assistance (RARA) and to Ms. Tina Spriggs for her special project. Ms. Fentum also presented Ms. Spriggs with a bouquet of flowers. There being no further business, the Convocation was closed in ample form at 3:10 pm.
