COMMUNITY EVENT RUN-N-RACQUET Two For One Event: Run-N-Racquet. Tennis enthusiasts partner with runners' club to host a tennis/run co-event to enhance both sports. Participants to run a sprint, 1K or 5K and then participate in a designated tennis activity (tennis drills, games, pro-sets, or whatever works for group). Children invited to participate and have their own group. Spring or Fall in conjunction with feed in program. Tennis facility or park where run can be held and tennis activity Tennis Equipment Bottled water/bananas Tennis pro Volunteers Partner with local running club. TV/Radio partner to promote event. Get local personality to participate Promote to PTA (all ages), Day Cares, online, websites and Facebook. TV Station Make sure there is a contact at station to direct people to for information. LIVING COMMUNITIES NEIGHBORHOOD TENNIS BLOCK PARTY Reach out to local HOA organizations via local volunteers and offer to host a tennis block party set up 36 & 60 courts in the cul-de-sac for parent/child matches, practice serves, hit for prizes area, etc. whatever you can do to get every person to try tennis once that night and promote local programming. Summer - when neighborhoods have activities going on. MILITARY Serve up tennis to our service men, women and their families! This event would encourage education, play and membership conveniently located on their base. The concept of a Tennis Apprentice program could also be considered. CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION 1) Partner with a charity and offer tennis lessons, clinics with every donation at a certain level. This hosted event can be a tennis kick-off event or wrap-up party for their donors free of charge to the donor. 2) Host a tennis event with all proceeds benefitting the designated charity. Participants can step away from their busy day at the office for some exercise and exposure to tennis!
