2017 Tournament Operations Internship Operating golf tournaments through active involvement & under the direct supervision & mentorship of the HJGT staff. Hands on, real world experience. Learn all aspects of running high quality events around the world. Extensive travel: 3-4 weekends per month across the country via company van. Important Information The Tournament Operations Interns are split into 6 different teams around the country. Summer internship dates May 10 - August 21. (We have some flexibility on dates based on your school schedule.) Each intern is supervised by a full time employee with ratio of no more than 7 interns to 1 Tournament Director. Summer application deadline is April 1, 2017 The teams are located in different houses and states in order to make traveling to tournaments more convenient. 2017 Marketing and Administrative Internship Internship will be based in Jacksonville, Florida. Houses located minutes from beaches, golf, and nightlife. Normal marketing hours are Monday- Friday 9am-5pm. Career Enrichment There are countless benefits to participating in the HJGT internship. Interns will meet and interact with many people and get to know the future stars of the PGA and LPGA tours. Interns will be around influential and successful sponsors, parents, and spectators. Interns will also work closely with golf professionals, directors of golf and course superintendents. In addition to the contacts made, the internship also serves as an opportunity to obtain full time employment with the HJGT or through its massive network which now includes Nexus. This internship is unlike many other programs because of the hands on experience you will receive. Interns will be given daily tasks that have a big impact on the organization. You will learn how to manage people, manage departments, and problem solve in a fast and fun environment. No other internship will offer you the hands on experience and networking opportunities that the HJGT can.
